Weekend Gaming - Week 10
I gave up three quarters of Sunday Night Football to squeeze in some playing time. So, only one game this past weekend.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: I was looking for a nice beat'em up game and a friend recommended this title. I remember playing Legends back on the PS2 so I kinda knew what I was going to play. I'm only on the 2nd act but it's pretty fun. The story is decent and the visuals are ok but at least the controls are pretty solid.
This following weekend is our 360 LAN party. We'll have six 360's and eight people.

Weekend Gaming - Week 09
I'll be honest, I did not play one single game this weekend. So how can I have my weekly blog you may be asking... simple, I got some console news.
You might remember that I mentioned that I had two friends planning on getting Xbox 360's by the end of the year or such. Well, both of them bought a 360 last week. One a Arcade and another a Pro. Even thou they differ in age about 10 or so years, they both had that joyous look in their eyes. That makes six of us who have bought a 360 since May '08. The next 360 LAN party will be a tad crazy.
We are only one week away from the start of a very crazy 6-8 week game release-a-thon. I can barely keep track of all the great 'for sure' games that I might have a lesser known or maybe a game I'm not sure about just slip by. It is a very exciting time to be a gamer. Specially for 360 owners with great exclusives and better multi-platform games. For an example look at Baja and how badly a dev can screw up a PS3 game.
Here is just a sample of the games I'll be getting this fall (in random order): Fable II, Gears 2, Fracture, Golden Axe, Left 4 Dead, Farcry 2, Fallout 3, and Saints Row 2. That's just a taste of my 28 game list from now till the first week in December.
This week will be a repeat of last week. I'll be gone this weekend so I gotta try to squeeze in some Pure, Baja, and BIA: Hell's Highway. I need a vacation to just get caugth up on the games.

Weekend Gaming - Week 08
A very busy weekend but I was still able to get a few things done. I wasn't in a rush since there isn't much coming out this week and nothing next week.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed: I started the game after reading quite a few reviews and user comments on how buggy and how unfair it can be at times. Thankfully I ran into that only twice. The first was the Star Destroyer and how I ended up having it just a second away from the cut scene so the right stick was actually wrong. It told me to go down but the only way for it to work was go all the way up. A very annoying but that I'm sure that can be patched. The other time was the first section on the last level. So many guys and if you didn't pick away at them then you would easily die. Those purge guys need a nerf. All in all, the game was very fun and I even went back and got a few more achievements. I'm quite proud of having two of the 500 kill ones. Having co-op would've sold more copies.
Fracture (demo): What a great demo! I see a lot of things like Gears of War but this game goes beyond that. The weapons are cool and actually accurate and the whole terrain changing is great and fun to do. I highly recommend the demo.
Pure: As the demo, the visuals are stunning, the air is insane, and the MP is a lot of fun. Sadly, the AI goes from easy to very hard in one jump. You have to learn all the short cuts and perform nearly perfect to have any chance of winning. Thankfully you don't need to get first in all the events to unlock the next set but it sure kills the fun when one mistake drops you from first to eighth. I would recommend but be prepared.
There are some other games I played but it was for a very short time that I don't really have a opinion on them and rather not waste time. Hopefully the new Brothers in Arms is good and I heard that the Baja game can be a tad tough to learn. We shall see.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PC) T-Hunt
Just a short video of myself doing a terrorist hunt and just quickly moving around. Not the highest quality settings since my rig is old. I had to reduce the resolution by 1/2 and my first video so quality may not be as high.
