Continuing with my trend of blogs that aren't really blogs, I just thought I'd get some outside opinions for a name a thought of for my new Youtube channel (for video game reviews and such).

The name is "Video Mages" (lumped as one word though, because it's Youtube). It's not entirely clever, I just swapped the G and M in the word game to make it mage, and I like wizards and such so I thought, y'know, why not. I already made the channel, but nothing is up there yet, I feel the name is quite important so I thought I'd get some feedback before I made it official.

So...any thoughts?

Naming is everything. Some names are just iconic.

'Smosh'

'JamesNintendoNerd'

Yeah, actually, I like the new name. It's short, catchy, and it fits. However, keep in mind that people might not quite know what your channel is about at first glance.

@ShadowofSonic Oh believe me, I've had a website about movies and video games called SloganYams for the past five years...Not exactly a name that reflects the material.  I actually didn't want to use this name originally, but my brother knew I wanted to start a site of some kind and registered the 'SloganYams' domain name (the name itself is derived from an inside joke of sorts between us).

My website took a while to gain any viewership, in the earliest days I only got a handful of page views a month (and I think those few were my friends and family). But I'm happy to say my perseverance paid off, and I now have a decent amount of hits (around 5,000 to 10,000 views a month). Not exactly a large number by many internet standards, but all things considered I think I've don alright for myself, relatively speaking. It got me into E3 for the past four years, that's something I only dreamed of before, so I'm eternally grateful about that.

Anyway, I'm rambling. My point is, I know a lot more about what I'm going into this time around.

And glad you like the new name! Good to have my first bit of feedback be on the positive side.
