    PlayStation HOME beta.

It's been a little busy lately for me, during this last week I had chance to play Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Brothers in Arms and I'm still having tons of fantastic time with Silent Hill 5.

I'm also, for few for days, participating in Socom: Beta which will end soon.

Resistance 2 beta should be out any day now (Qore) and on top of all that:

Last evening I got a e-mail to participate in HOME Beta!

Well, all I had been doing for the last 18 hours was playing pool and bowling time to time.

My friends list went from year and a half of humble 8 to freaking 25. I was so surprised just how many folks like to just chat about gaming.

So far I'm really enjoying. I have to admit that HOME will be great once it's finally released.

If you're in the Beta, give me a shout.

BIA Review + Eternal Sonata anticipation.

Last evening I finally ended Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway and It was enjoyable to the very end.

I had enjoyed previous BIA games on my PC back in the days and I have to admit that Hell's Highway is best in series for myself personally.

The story is well done, gameplay and atmosphere really show you how hard is to be a solder and how much stress and struggle you must endure, and what happens when you can't take it anymore.

The game surprisingly hasn't ended, and I'm happy that this is not the last time I'll see Baker in action.

Now, onto the very exiting debate.

    Eternal Sonata.

I understand that XBOX 360 owners have had lots of time to enjoy the JRPG, however after experiencing the demo, (and finishing it for the forth time), I'm left with utmost anticipation for PlayStation 3 version that is due to be released on October 21, alas the same days as many great games.

After few hours of research, I'm pleasantly surprised with good addition of extra content that will make its way to PS3.

    In particular:

    • New Games Endings, extended story.
    • New Playable Characters and Costume Changes: You can play as Crescendo or Serenade and change some of favorite character's costume.
    • New Dungeons to explore.
    • Exclusive New Music by Chopin and Motoi Sakuraba.

What this basically means - that the already great Xbox version will include more of everything that will make original 35+ hours game longer with different endings for replay value.

I'd had been personally happy with original game, but I'm now without a doubt exited even more.I enjoy the hybrid gameplay system of turn-based/rel-time battles and the game artwork gently reminds me of Folklore in some parts.

This is shaping up to be very enjoyable JRPG that I had fallen in love numerous times during PlayStation 1 and 2 era.

Personally, I'm just glad to finally enjoy JRPG that is worth my 60$ on PS3.

With Valkyria Chronicles, highly anticipated White Knight Chronicles on horizon and of course FFXIII + VS XIII, my favorite genre is slowly, but surely coming along nicely.

There are still few others as well, however they are still time exclusives.

For now, I'm eagerly expecting Eternal Sonata. (Goes back to demo, again..)

Socom beta update, Hell's highway impressions.

October had just arrived and it seems like we'll have lots of games to enjoy this month.

To start off, I decided to stop playing Socom: Confrontation Beta until the full game arrives. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the game for some time now I had been crashing from the game numerous time, my PS3 gets frozen quite a lot during the gameplay and I have to manually reset it, which is not something that should be done to the console.

I fully understand it's a beta, however it came to the point that the two large patches that had been received didn't really do much good for me, in fact it gotten worse with more lag and glitches.

I really do like the game - when it works well that is. It's one of the best experiences since Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter.

The game release date is fast approaching and I'm truly hopping that the full version will bring smooth, enjoyable gameplay - in which case I'll gladly enjoy it even more.

Time will tell, for now I'll sadly have to stop playing it since it's bringing me more frustration then fun time, regardless if it's a beta or not. Certain aspects need to be given to players.

On the positive note, I'm about half a way through Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway and let me tell you, it's a great ride so far. The story is hard to follow at the moment since most of it has a long connection to previous games.

Regardless, the game is very enjoyable and it packs quite a punch, especially if you're playing it on Veteran difficulty. It really makes you take 95% time in cover and use your squads with brains.

It's not easy, but this is a thinking shooter, not another run-and-gun. (Thank you)

It's very satisfactory to flank enemies, toss that grenade just at the right time, or score that perfectly laid face-shot across the quarter-mile field. It's a enjoyable game that really won't be everyone cup of tea since it does require more tactical and strategic approach that needs to be utilized with your squad.

You will die a lot, if you don't use cover in every opportunity since you can take 1 or 2 shots at most and majority of the time you will encounter lots of enemies that all take cover and shoot pretty darn accurate, even from distance.

So far, so good, if you had a chance to play Hell's Highway, share your love/hate.
