Games I'm Hyped for at e3 '08

This is a list of games I'm most hyped for at E3 08. They may not be the priority for others but they are for me. Once E3 comes along, I'm sure my hype list will expand greatly but for now...

sh5Silent Hill 5

Last generation, the PS2 has 4 separate Silent Hill games released for it. We're about one third our way through this gen and we have yet to see how this gen will handle and present a Silent Hill game. So far survival horrors are a rare genre. The only one, Alone in the Dark 4 is a very mediocre game. I'm hoping some more information for this game to be released because it will a very anticipated title for not only survival horror gamers, but every gamer alike. I'm sure the graphics will kick ass because the PS2 games really pushed the system's power. Prime example is Silent Hill 3 and 4.

re5 Resident Evil 5

If you're not hyped for this game, then something must be wrong. Resident Evil 4 shocked the gaming world and I'm hoping its sequel does the same. With the limited footage I've seen for this game, it looks awesome, even though it's still far from complete. This game will definitely be one of contenders for game of the year 2009. I just hope for two things: 1. Capcom doesn't use entirely the same gameplay system from Resident Evil 4, because we want something different, 2. The Xbox 360 can handle great number of enemies on screen at a time without slowing down *cough*NinjaGaiden2*cough*

ds

Dead Space

Any game where you can amputate enemies is a good one. This may be a new series, but I have high hopes for it. From what I've seen, the gameplay looks somewhat similar to Resident 4 and Dark Sector, however it appears to be more bloody than the two mentioned games…A LOT! I just hope the developers don't screw up this game. October 20th 2008, mark that day on your calendar.

g2

Gears of War 2

One of the Xbox 360's flagship titles. No explanations necessary. Even if this game retains all the same gameplay components from the previous, it will still kick major ass.

___________________________________________________

These are some games I hope are announced and some information revealed at E3 08. This is like my own personal wishlist of games based on previous titles

Mass Effect 2

This is another one of the Xbox 360's flagship titles. It's also no surprise that a sequel will be made. I just want to know when it will be released. Also several downloadable content for the game was announced, however the really disappointing 'Bringing down the Sky' was the only one so far. I'm also interested to know when or if we'll get more content for the first game.

Onimusha 5

Last generation has 4 Onimusha games on the PS2, each title drastically better than the other in all departments. When will we see Onimusha make a debut on this generation?

Dead Rising 2

Capcom has proven that they are the masters of zombie games, Dead Rising was a prime example of that. This was an early Xbox 360 title and was an instant success. I'm shocked Capcom didn't cash in on the franchise because a sequel to this game would be awesome, especially if they can fix the horrendous save system from the first game

Assassin Creed 2

After the unpredictable and lame ending of Assassin Creed, its no surprise that an Assassin Creed 2 will be made, the only question is 'when?' It's true Assassin Creed may have gotten a little repetitive, but that doesn't change the fact that it was a superb game. Once the developers can work out the minor flaws from the first game, I'm sure the second game will be nothing but perfection. I have really high hopes for an Assassin Creed sequel.

Elder Scrolls V

I seriously doubt a new Elder Scrolls title may be released this generation, but it would be totally awesome if another was. I still have yet to complete the storyline in Oblivion and there is still so many things to do.

...and yes I'm totally aware these are all based on Xbox 360

Anime Recommedantions

I'd like some anime recommendations. It doesn't matter the genre. I prefer if they are English dubbed, I hate reading subs. I prefer series, but if you want to recommend some movies, that's find too. I want to get this list together by weekend because I want to do the shopping early next week

So far I've backtracked some of my blog enries and I've come up with:

  • Death Note - english confirmed
  • Trigun - english unconfirmed
  • Cowboy Bebop - english unconfirmed
  • Neo Genesis Evangelion - english confirmed
  • Helsing - english unconfirmed
I need more because I know I'm not even going to find half of them that I set out for.

Prey and The Bourne Conspiracy

I have to add 2 new games to my Xbox 360 gaming queue: Prey and The Bourne Conspiracy. I actually got Prey a few days ago and Bourne Conspiracy today...soon I'll add Battlefield: Bad Company (once I locate a copy)

I haven't played Prey yet, but I did spend some time with Bourne today, the game is okay so far, however the graphics is crap. It looks like a very early Xbox 360 game.

Tired, Angry and Upset

I'm tired, angry and upset of how fustrating Ninja Gaiden 2 is (both the game's difficulty and camera angles). After reaching the final bosses, hours of fighting and countless retries, I just gave up.

If the game wasn't actually good, I'd just abandon it, but I'm going to restart it on easy mode. It might also give me a chance to catch up on some of the achievements I missed.

I love Bleach

I picked up Bleach volume 4 to 10 yesterday. That's all I've been watching reciently. I spent most of yesterday evening-night watching it and the majortity of today. So far I've reached episode 27 and I might possibly finish up to volume 8 before the day is over. This is by far one of, if not THE best anime series I've seen to date (even though I don't look at much anime )

I managed to come across the first Condemned game for 360, but I was out of cash and didn't walk with my card. I was looking for that game for a long time now! I would have picked it up today, but it's a holiday here so I'll go pick it tomorrow.

I'm still trying to complete Ninja Gaiden 2, and the game is still a pain in the ass with those fustrating camera angles!

You'd think that her untouched powers would be something cool or at least worthy of the build-up, like a new spell or an added ability. But no. Instead, something I could've easily obtained via level grinding.
