    Helpful Player Reviews

I enjoy reading player reviews. I've decided to make a post here with links to player reviews that I come across and enjoy. No ranking or order...

Review Thanks to foszae for posting this review of Sniper - Art of Victory [1.5/10]. This is a game that looked interesting to me so I'm glad that this review steared me away from it.

BentSea Arx Fatalis Review great, informative, well written...Far Cry Review

Thief: Deadly Shadows Review by biggest_loser

    Journal: Nicotine Cessation

Day One: Monday, September 22, 2008, 11:19 AM:

I've been sick since Friday and while resting at home I realized that I was not helping my body by ingesting nicotine on an almost hourly basis via tobacco and/or gum over the past 3 years and 8 months (start date roughly January 2005).

11 PM Sunday, September 21, 2008, was the last "dose" of nicotine my body received. It's been 12 hours now and I want something with nicotine in it.

The plan is to go 72 hours without nicotine and then enroll in this internet site for moral support on the forum...in the meantime, self-help/education are important and this website is a good resource.

I've tried doing this probably 4 times in the past and failed (1 relapse or loosening of standards=failure) but this time I'm ready.

The number one reason why I'm quitting is my sleep schedule; nicotine addiction does not help with sleep. Another reason is that tobacco stinks and is horrible for my health; tobacoo is for losers...that's my new motto.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 11 PM will be the 72 hour mark. I'm planning on making an entry on this blog every 12 hours I go without nicotine, not because anyone will want to read it but more because I need a place to keep myself accountable.

    Don't worry about commenting.

Day Two: Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 1:25 PM

    So far so good...

Day Four: Thursday, September 25, 2008 12:57 PM

To my great joy I have much more energy and the mood swings that I had started developing under nicotine gum have completely disappeared.

Day Five: Friday, September 26, 2008 12:48 AM

    Not so bad...

Day Five: Friday, September 26, 2008 10:30 AM

This is as good as I have felt in years. Amazing...

Day Eight: Monday, September 29, 2008 10:19 PM

    It's not so bad...

Day Twenty One: Sunday, October 12, 2008 8:06 PM

I feel like I've had an important organ removed from my body. There is the sensation of a vacuum, as if there once was a critical piece necessary for the functioning of my body that has long since gone. I'm too far along to go back, but I'm not yet out of the woods. It's good, though. It's worth it.
