  #7: Lara Croft

  Games: Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Tomb Raider: Legend, etc.

  

  Can you get much cooler than having guns, and being a chick?Lara Croft has got to be one of the most amazing video game characters ever created. She's got the beauty, the brains, and the brawns. Seriously, this chick is so strong, she puts The Incredible Hulk to shame. She has guns attached to every hip, and always keeps her hair neat in a ponytail. You've got to admit that a character is pretty cool when she's created after so much controversy about what her name she should be, what gender she should be, or even what nationality she should be. I'm not joking, go see it yourself on Wikipedia.

  #6: Cloud Strife

  From: Square Enix

  Games: Final Fantasy Series

  

  The Final Fantasy series has several cool characters in it, but none of them are really as cool and styIish as Cloud. Well, maybe Sephiroth, I don't know. Although I may not be a big Final Fantasy fan, I still think Cloud is pretty cool, even though his hair may make him look a little Emo.He's got attitude, kick-ass (or just plain weird) hair, and has a sword that's even bigger than himself.I mean, just look at that sword, IT'S HUGE, I don't even think Superman could lift that thing. The main reason I put him on this list is because of the unforgettable scene from Final Fantasy VII. (Sniff), I'll never forget that moment.

  #5: Ryu

  From: Tecmo

  Games: Ninja Gaiden (NES), Ninja Gaiden (XBOX), Ninja Gaiden Black, Ninja Gaiden II, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Dead or Alive Series, etc.

  

  Just listen to this, Ryu spoke very little, kicked everyone's ass, has never been in a bad game (NEVER), is a leader of a Dragon Clan, always wore black, and was a ninja. And ninjas are always cool. He was cool on the NES, and he's still badass today on the Xbox 360. This dude has been around almost as long as Mario or Sonic, and may have a connection with a certain armor in Halo 3, the Hayabusa armor, which just happens to be his last name. To be a ninja, and all of that and more is really cool. Ryu may have been put higher on the list, but you need to wait and see what I have in store for you guys next. Thanks For Reading!

  SS67's Top 10 Coolest Video Game Characters: Part One

  #10: Sonic the Hedgehog

  From: SEGA

  Games: Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure, Sonic & Knuckles, etc.

  

  Although Sonic may not have had a really great game in the past eight years, he sill is a pretty cool dude. He had some of the best games of the '90s, and really showed a thing or two to Mario. He's fast, got spikey air, and some kick-ass shoes and attitude. His theme song even says "He's the fastest thing alive!" (from the Sonic Saturday cartoon, for those ofyou who didn't know). So nowadays, he's taken as a joke, but he was alright back in the day. Well, let's just hope he find his big break soon enough... Can anyone say, "Project Needlemouse?"

  

  #9: Mega Man

  From: Capcom

  Games: Mega Man 1-9, Mega Man X1-3, Mega Man Legends

  

  He may be the most abused andmost made fun of franchise ever, but this dude was a big hit back on the NES in 1987. The blue bomber, Mega Man was original, had a cannon for an arm, and had a robotic dog, and that's cool. Even though the last relly good Mega Man game was X 3 . But even though he was small, after he kills you, he's gonna take your abilities to use them against you. The only reason he's not higher on this list is because of his voice in Mega Man Legends, oh God, it was terrible.

  #8: Meta Knight

  From: Nintendo/HAL Laboratory

  Games: Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Air Ride, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, etc.

  

  He'sround, short, and has a cape and wings growing out of his back, that's both weird and cool at the same time. Both in the anime and the games, Meta Knight spoke little, hada sword as big as his body, and always had that sinister glare in his eyes. I would've put Kirby on this list instead, but for coolness and styIe I had to go with Meta Knight. Plus, if you've ever played as Meta Knight in Brawl, you'd know why I really put him on here. To be honest, MetaKnight is one of the main reasons that I really like the Kirby series.And that glare, it's begining to freak me out, I'd better end this blog now before I have nightmares.
