GSPN: Game Night - Terraria Part 2

With Hell-a-vators built and a base in the firey depths we are almost ready to take on the Wall of Flesh and enter Hard Mode for Terraria!

We will be getting together at 7:30pm PST and will be trying to take on the Wall, the goal of tonight's game night is to enter hard mode, which should be fairly easy given that some of you already have twinkish characters that you're dying to show off.

Hard Mode features a bounty of awesome shiny additions, including but not limited to EVIL UNICORNS! Seriously, these things will mess you up.

GSPN Game Night - Terraria Part 1

To celebrate Terraria being a part of the Midweek Madness deal on Steam we'll be playing some Terraria this Thursday at 7:30 pm PST.

    Terraria-steam-wiki.png.jpg

The game is currently less than a cup of overpriced coffee (3.39) and worth every penny! We'll make a server and dig down to the depths to see if we can enter hard mode!

The deal is only going until 4:00 PM PST today.

To sweeten the deal if we can get 50 people to sign up and participate in this two part game night I will make us an emblem.

MadElk will be assisting with the server, I will be posting details about how to join later this evening. Unless of course he decides to grace us with his presence and inform us in the comments.

We'll be using a chatzy room for communication up until the event happens, then we'll be moving to a group steam chat.

News and pseudo spoilers for Pokemon X Y

This is why I still think print is amazing
So in a  CoroCoro Comics magazine that was recently released, thee was some news pertaining to Pokémon X /Y along with some  "spoilers", specifically, news about the Pokémon that are going to be a part of this next gen. The issue is a June issue and it revealed four new Pokémon along with other tidbits of information about the upcoming games.

New to the team we have Yanchamu, Gogoto, Yayakoma and Erikiteru.

Yanchamu, a fighting type Pokémon who is a part of the "Naughty" species. This little fella is pretty cute, and has a trademark leaf stuck in his mouth for what I assume to be his first form.  Next we have Yayokoma, a "Japanese Robin" Pokémon (normal, flying type). So far we know that one of it's moves is "Nitro Charge" aka "Flame Charge". Then there is Erikiteru which is classified as an electric, normal type Pokémon, the other info shared about this one is that it can generate electricity by absorbing sunlight. And finally, we have "Gogoto" your ticket to ride since he's a riding Pokémon. He's a grass type with "Horn Leech".

Bulbanews also shared the new region that was spoiled the magazine, along with a map of a location called "Miare City" which is located in Karosu (the new region Pokémon trainers will be adventuring in). According to the article, the new city is so big that you can ride your Gogoto to navigate it. This makes me wonder if getting a Gogoto will be a pokemon that you're simply able to "unlock" via some sort of quest or if they'll expect you to go out and catch one of your own.

Information about the Starter Pokémon was also reveled though it was mostly flavor text for the Pokémon. Information like; Chespin, the chestnut Pokémon has a "tough shell covering its head and back". He is able to learn moves like tackle, growl, vine whip and rollout. Fennekin is very hot, running at approximately 200 degrees Celsius though not much info about moves it could learn was shared. We also learned that Froakie, the bubble frog Pokémon is able to jump tall buildings in a single bound.

These new Pokémon seem interesting, though I'm curious to hear what the experts might have to say about this. Since as some of you may know, I took a long break from Pokémon back in 2001 and only recently started trying to get back into the swing of catching them all.
