  Spore

  I've been playing Spore.

  I can't believe it.

  I've had this game preordered for 2 years and now I finally have it!

  Crazyness.

  Spore is an incredibly vast game. By that I mean INSANELY vast.

  You develope a creature from a tiny multi-cellular organisim up through multiple stage of growth until you crawl out onto land where you continue to evolve further. Eventually you will become the highest form of life inhabiting your planet and will learn to band together into tribes with your fellow creatures. At this time you also get to arm you creatures with axes, armor, hats, clothes etc. Conquer all the rival tribes on your continent to become the dominent species of your world and move on to the civilization stage. In the civilization stage you fight the other tribes of your own kind who have also conquered their rival species for total dominance of your planet. As you go along you will build cities, tanks, cars, boats, battleships, planes, figther jets and learn more and more powers unique to a species who has evolved the way yours has. Eventually you become a single unified planet and develope a space program.

  Space......this is where the game really seems to take all that came before and puts it together into one MASSIVE, and virtually endless experience. You start out exploring your planet.....then your solar system...then your neighboing system...then systems within a short distance of you and so on and so forth as you gain more and more powerful interstellar drives for your spacecraft and are able to cross not only your part of the galaxy, but the WHOLE MASSIVE THING! Every single star in this vast ocean has its own set of planets and each planet has the possibility to already hold life. Some of this life that you meet will be as advanced or more advanced than you and you can try to forge alliances or wage wars with the other races living amongst the stars. You can gather spices and artifacts and become a cosmic merchant to fund upgrades for your ship.....and man, there's a LOT of upgrades for your ship. The upgrades that you buy include more and more powerful weaponry to crush the stars or defend your people, abduction beams to transplant creatures and plants and artifacts from one world to another for study orterraforming. Did I mention terraforming? You can unlock tools that allow you to sculpt planet. produce atmosphere, paint planets, cause natural disasters, and even a Deathstar ray to let you put an end to planets. Eventually the game comes full circle and your species starts genetic experimentation and bio-engineering where they start the evolution of a new species.

  There's more....I haven't seen it all. It's insane.

  This game wants to eat all my free time.

  I'm fighting myself to keep this from taking over and making me fail a class >_

  120 Blogs.

  Wow....I just went and checked all my stuff across the internet and found that I've written 120 or more blogs in the last couple years.

  I had no idea.

  It's interesting to see how far I've come in my ability to rant.

  Alrighty

  Well, I'm officially all setup in my dorm now with the exception of my shiny new PS3 not yet being online due to SFA's ridiculous internet security wackyness.

  It's only a matter of time til I figure out how to do it but it's rather annoying.

  The trip itself was way longer than normal because our van with all my stuff in it lost a layer of tire..so we had to stop and put on the spare....and then the spare was flat....and then my dad had to drive til he found a gas station with a working air pump (conveniently the first one was broken)....because he didn't want us to just do it the easy way and buy some $3 canned air....

  Anyhow...

  Well, finally got up here and tried to check in but they told me I needed to go get my school ID first to swipe and get into my room...*walk all the way across campus....ID place is closed til Monday. Great. So I walk back and they tell me I'll just have to get my roommates to let me in.

  Well I go eat with my family before they leave and sure enough when I get back all my roommates are out. Yea....locked out. So I go wander around town since Casey is at work going nuts** and thus unable to hang out.

  I found the local comic/D&D/Rogue Trader/game store. It's only 1600 feet from my dorm! This is awesome. Of course it started pouring rain for dramatic effect the moment I figured out I was locked out, forcing me to DRIVE 1600 feet rather than walk.. -_- I then found the GIANT local Wal-Mart and a GameStop with a super competent/knowledgeable/friendly staff.

  Now the question is do I go to Taco Bell and risk getting locked out again or do I just not eat until tomorrow?

  I'm sure I had some other rant to make too....*shrug* Oh well.

  **because the university massively overbooked all the dorms because not everyone shows up....but this time most of them did, and as Supreme Commander of Resident Assistants[or whatever] she had to deal with all the angry homeless people.
