All About TheSacredFlame

  • 9Feb 13

I'm going to leave Gamespot for a bit.

For weeks now, I've only seen topics that are about religion or "which brand of console is best". I've grown acustomed to these due to the great community, but lately everybody seems either stupid or cynical.

I'll post my reviews every now and then, but beside that the only activity I may do is union related. I know most of you don't care, but I've known this site since 2006 (besides the fact I  joined in 2011; my brother was here awhile back and we used to read topics together) and I feel that the site has grown to an all time low.

Maybe it's because I'm maturing, but all know is that I'm fed up with this place and I'll probably spent more time in different places.I'll probably return in a month and see how things are going, but leave for another or not at all after that.

    So long.

Review wise: I think I'm ready.

For the past month or so, I've been reviewing games with the two paragraph format. Today, I finished my Where's My Water review and after looking at my previous reviews, I realized that I improved.

Now, I feel that I can review Demon's Souls, which I've putting off in fear of not giving it the recognition it deserves. I will not use a two paragraph format for the upcoming review and will type out several paragraphs to expand my thoughts. The only times I'll ever use the two paragraph format is when I review a game that needs a minuscule amount to describe it.

    A 2001 Redemption

Recently, I watched, 2001: A Space Oddessy and The Shawshank Redemption.

The Shawshank Redemtion is easily one of the best films I've ever seen (which is not saying much considering I don't watch films very often). I loved watching every minute of it and I would recommend it to anyone.

On that note, 2001: a Space Oddessy was dreadfully dull throughout the movie. I didn't enjoy the long stretches of watching a spacescraft land or enter into the frame. The music of the film is certainly the most memorable part of the movie besides the ending. What a weird experience that was! Overall, I would recommend this film to a select amount of people.

The meaning in both films were fantasitic (especially 2001).

"Boring" Electroplankton had potential, but after 30 minutes, you'll realize it shouldn't qualify as a full fledged DS game. Continue »
