There is vast rumor spreading through the internet concerning PS3 Update 2.40. It is bricking people's systems left and right. Here is one example: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jmLFt4o6DyY
As for now, Sony has pulled the update from the servers to evaluate it. Their official wording:
UPDATE: 7/2/2008, the PLAYSTATION 3 system software version 2.40 has been temporarily taken offline and will not be available for download as our engineers examine any possible issues with this update. The Knowledge Center will be updated with information as it becomes available; please check back here for further details.
I updated after it was immediately released last night with no issues, but it's best off to wait for what Sony has to say on this before you update your PS3.
We have received a tip as to where our dog may be. We're traveling up to the vacation spot now to hopefully retrieve him.
I want to personally thank everyone who has been supporting me and my family through this. Your kind comments have meant so much to me. It's been a very emotional and difficult time for me and my entire family. I really hope I can make another blog post today with some good news.
Also, thanks for reading my review for Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
See you later... and hopefully with good news.
I play one of the worst games ever, Chicago Enforcer for the Xbox. Please excuse my horrible accent and long loading screens.
Today, I found out that my little pug, Mr. Miyagi is missing. We got him last year when he was just a little guy, and he has grown a little bit since. This past week, my family has been on vacation at a cabin and they took him with them. Since last night, he has been missing. My mother is devestated, as am I. My family and I have come so attached to him. Please come home soon, my little friend.
Also, I have reviewed Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which you can read here. As always, feedback is appreciated. It may have some weird things in it, due to me being shaken up over the loss of my dog.
Thank you and please keep Mr. Miyagi in your thoughts. ![]()
Welcome everyone, to another one of my video game ramblings.
Played a bit of TimeShift tonight. Actually went pretty smoothly. I had tried the demo long ago and wrote it off, but for $15, I couldn't pass it up. I've been pleasantly surprised with it so far. The time elements are what make it unique and fun. Without them, it wouldn't be very special at all.
The game starts off slow without time powers, and enemies take about 10 bullets to kill, so it can be very confusing in the beginning. I sat back for a moment and wondered why it would take so many bullets to kill a person. Then I received the time powers, and there's the reason. The game would just be too easy if it only took a few bullets per enemy. My favorite time power: Stop. From there you can go around to each enemy (preferably with a shotgun) and blow their heads straight open before they even know what hit 'em. You can also take their weapons as well, then use them against them. I feel like such a jerk sometimes, but that's the name of the game. I can safely say I wouldn't be having fun without these perks because it would be just another shooter, and also way too hard. This has to be some kind of sleeper hit or something.
That's enough ramblin' about that. I have also been playing some more Vegas 2 with good ol' Mike-Al. The game is still very thrilling, intense, and exciting. I want to get elite ASAP. The devs over at Ubisoft have decided to bring a new patch and three new maps soon as well. If you're at all interested, I recommend checking it out. Also, here's what my character currently looks like:

I think he looks pretty awesome. His camo is a mix of Crimson and Red. M8 is the usual weapon of choice, as is Team Leader and Villa.
This was intended as a video blog, but this will do as I am very tired. Thanks Everyone and see you guys later.
