I haven't done a blog in just over a year now, I thought I might do a new one. So here it is, a new blog. I hope you enjoyed it.

I went to my mate's house today - the first day of the school holidays. Ee sat around playing COD4 on his PS3 for a while, then set some stuff on fire, and then went for a bike ride around the street in front of his house. Being the first time I rode a bike in what must be 2 years now, I was a bit unsure at first. I had to get used to riding a bike again and also his was different to my old one.

Only a couple of minutes into our bike ride we decided to race down to the end of the street which has an L shape turn in it. I was just behind him when we got to the turn he then turned, but for some reason it didn't register within my brain to turn as well. So I was heading straight for the curb at high speed, I didn't have enough time or distance to turn properly so I had to brake, keeping in mind I had about a second to do so and go through all this:

I first went to back-pedal, which on my old biike, meant brake. Then I realised, this bike doesn't do that

I went to press down the right (front) brake, realising as I had learnt earlier that this only touches on the front tire and is for a very slow stop.

And just as I had started to push down on the left brake for the back tires I hit the curb. I didn't go over the bars but more on my left side and flew through the air. I landed on my left arm on the concrete in someones driveway right next to the NATURE STRIP GRASS!! It would have been nice if I landed on the grass!

A man, a lady and a young girl who just happened to be in there driveway behind the gate saw it and seemed a little shocked. The man said "Are you okay?" I was laughing and said "yeah I'm fine" and I got up. I wasn't feeling any pain until a short time later in my arm.

My shoulder is fine, and my wrist and elbow but it's just the muscle in my forearm. It's really quite sore. No outer bruising, doesn't hurt when I press on it hard though, it's just the constant soreness or when I bend it at certain angles.

Bit of a long story there, and I know nothing major happened, but it was a great stack and I wish it was filmed. Also makes you wonder about how fast the brain works in these sorts of desperate times.

After the school feast day (which was kind of meh) today, mates and I went to see Inglourious Basterds. Very typical obvious Tarantino traits in it, really great film, almost as good as Rexervoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. However, my enjoyment of the first half of the film was somewhat lowered by a group of young annoying pricks in the row behind us, probably in year 10, the year below us.

They would not shut up and not stop screwing around and I was quite ready to get up and tell them to 'Shut the f*** up or get the f*** out.' But freek said not to worry. While I didn't understand this at the time I realised later, about half way through the film, when they got a little rowdy he told them to 'shut the f*** up'. Thank god the left soon after, little jerks.

Really kick**** film though, filled with the many seemingly pointless little conversations that are regular in Quentin Tarantino films.

I never thought I would actually make it to this level. Seeing other people with it I always thought that it was years away, but here it is... YAY!

I'm writing an essay on essentially the beginning of the cold war from 1945 to 1955, for history due tomorrow. Well too be honest I'm actually writing a blog on how I'm writing the essay right now. I should get back to it, I've done an intro and 4 words of my first paragraph, might be a good essay. Pretty interesting stuff.

Nothing new, apart from, I'm going to see f***ing SLAYER AND MEGADETH in Melborune in October. F*** YEAH! That s***'s gonna be sweet.

I went to the shops today. Grabbed some stuff. Slayer's 1988 album 'South of Heaven' for $16 at JB, Stephen King's 'The Shining' for $20 at the book shop, QBD I think it's called. And I picked up Prey for $20 at Big W, so that was a cool find.

South of heaven. The Shining, Prey

While I was hanging around at the other Shopping Centre, talking to the girl I used to work with who now works in Rebel Sport, I found these pants. I figured I need a new (and at the least decent) pair of trackpants, got them for $45. She gave me a discount.

    Pants

They're pretty comfy and South of Heaven is good. I spent $101 in a day. I think that's the most of spent in one day. It's weird how the money just disappears like that. But I shouldn't be needing anymore pants anytime soon.

All I have is three moderations

One on System wars a long time ago for exceeding the 5 quote string limit, got a warning.

A warning for 'Trolling'. I asked if auser was 6 years old, he made a stupid comment, whatever.

And another warning this year for quoting someone who had made a censor bypass in their quote. I don't understand that though. Couldn't they just edit my post, not delete it entirely? Oh well.

And that's my Moderation history, it's just too short.

I actually stayed up for some of E3 this year and watched the Nintendo conference and it was pretty good, a bit too much babbling and crap about their sales and such but they announced some good stuff. My net stuffed up when Sony started showing MAG gameplay so I just went to bed at about 4:30am. I also saw the Ubisoft conference which was really kind of average.

I just found out there's a new Mafia II trailerfrom E3and it's a damn good trailer. It looks like the cutscenes will be really emotional and epic. I also saw some of the gameplay videos Gametrailers have and the game is looking really good. I just hope the gameplay and the story are as good as the original.

I went for my first drive on Sunday. In an industrial area near where I live there's a place with a fairly large car park and my dad was getting me to park along an imaginary curb and i was driving around the car park for about an hour. It was good, not easy but not hard and I found it to be fun.

School is closed until friday due to the Swine flu and I started playing GTA San Andreas again. I'm really getting through it but still heaps to go. I've been home heaps considering I had a week off when I shook my mate's hand who was diagnosed with Swine Flu the week before last. Now I'm homethis week, and then in a couple of weeks time is the semester holdays so there's another 2 weeks .

I watched some old Jackie Chan films recently (damn he is awesome) and Robocop which was really ****ing over the top and awesome. I swear if hollywood remakes it I'm gonna kick some arse. I have Dr. Strangelove, City of God, Bullet in the Head (another John Woo film), Casino and Once Upona Time in America allhere, still yet to watch.

Time to relax and read Medea... for school... for an outcome next week.... and then an exam not next week but the week after.... *sigh

Haven't blooged in a while. Er... not much has happened. Got the Orange Box, it's mighty swell. Today I made an appointment for my Learner's Permit test. Next Thursday at 3:30pm (I finish school early on Thursdays) I've been 16 since mid-october so that's about 7 months now. Looks like I'll be older than 18 when I get my P's but I don't think I mind so much, I doubt I'll be going anywhere when I turn 18 anyway.

    That is all.

Well it's about damn time! It's been in development hell for quite some time now and I remembered about my half-finished review today and decided it was time to finish it off, add a couple of things and touch it up a bit.

It's a little long but please, read it here.

I don't post enough anymore. I managed to get about 20 posts just today and yesterday. I'm on here everyday and all I do is lurk and not post. WTF is the point of that?

Anyway, today I went to 3 JBs in the one area to find the CDs I wented. I got Megadeth's Killing Is My Businessand Black Sabbath's Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Really good albums.

The final JB I went to was at the relatively new Plenty Valley shopping centre. I was dropped off by my mother who then went elsewhere. So I was at this shopping centre for about an hour and a half with nothing to do after I bought my CDs. Luckily, a girl I used to work with moved to the Rebel Sport there so I spent most of the time hanging around in there and talking to her. I think the older lady was getting suspicious of me by the end as I had spent probably over an hour in there.

I'm getting a little tired of listening to the samemusic over and over, it's all great but I need some new stuff. Not really new bands, but a bit more from bands that I have.

    Black Sabbath:
    Paranoid
    Master of Reality
    Vol. 4
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

    Megadeth
    Killing is My Business
    United Abomniations

    Slayer
    Hell Awaits
    South of Heaven

    The Jimi Hendrix Experience
    Electric Ladyland
    Are You Experienced?

I'm going to Epping Plaza tomorrow. I should be able to find what I want considering there are 3 JBs in the one suburb, well one in the next suburb but close enoughto the border.

My holidays have been going along alright. Haven't done much. I finally watched Goodfellas which was excellent. I watched two John Woo films. A Better Tomorrow is great and Hard Boiled is just plain awesome.

AND, I decided to change my avatar after having this same Master of Puppets album cover picture for about a year and a half now. It'll show up... eventually...

On Friday, there were thunderstorms over Melbourne, well at least the northern suburbs anyway. At one point there was a bright flash of light coming through the windows of my home and a massive thunder clap. It must have been right over our house and it scared the crap out of me. We realised the internet was slow and the VoIP thing wasn't working and the modem/router was very warm even though it had been off for a while and then turned back on again. So we believe the lightning fried a component or two in the modem. We sentit awayto either get fixed or get a replacement. So I waswithout internet on Saturday and Sunday and most ofMonday. wewere able to get a spare modem/router off someone we know. But those three days werea littleboring and I learnt that I can't lastvery long without internet. I would have been okay if it weren't for the fact that I have run out of movies andTV shows to watch and games to play.

There was a plus side with the games I did play.I started playing DBZ legacy of goku 2 again and I'm up to the final boss battle now. Just got to train all my guys up.

Started playing Far Cry again and am finally past the first mission with the boat, but now I'm to the mutants and stuff and I'm losing interest.

Went back to CoD 2 and finally passed the first part of the American Campaign which I have been stuck on for months now.

And I started playing Company of Heroes, very good game.

Last week, I beat FEAR, it took me a week to beat the entire game and it was great. Started playing Extraction Point but it's not as good.

And, I have finally decided what to do this gen. After seeing Madworld and House of the Dead overkill finally being released, I will be getting a wii.. As much as I wanted a 360, the main games I wanted on it are on PC anyway. Eg. Burnout Paradise, Dead Rising (DR2 will be on PC), GTA4. Now all I have to do is upgrade my freakin computer. I gathered prices from MSY on what I want and I'm looking at 800 - 1000 bucks. Problem is I currently have an 500gb IDE HDD that I want to use and apparently I think it was either the case or power supply I want aren't compatible with IDE and blah blah, goddamnit. I am slso torn between three cases and I'm not good at making decisions, this will take some time....

    I bought this!
    Epiphone G400 guitar

    guitar body

    headstock

(Sorry for the picture quality, I took it with the camera on my phone, which I also jsut bought about a month ago, Nokia 6300, now I see that everyone has it )

It's the Epiphone G400 gothic with a nice mat black finish. Billy Hydes were having a lovely sale last weekend so on Saturday I picked it up at 40% off, $380 or something down from $630. I wanted the regular G400 but they didnt have any stock and this gothic one was the only one they had left and it was the display model. So it has some scratches on the pickguard (which has plastic that I peel off on it) and one or two scratches on the body around the lead jack area. But it's no problem.

I'm getting a Roland Cube 20 watt amplifier. I ordered it on the day because they didn't have any left, it should be coming in tomorrow and I still get it at sale price, which is $300 down from $400. Which is also pretty cool. It's got a few effects with it and an in-built tuner! Woah! So I have been playing it without an amp, sounds stupid I know, but it's still just loud enough for me to play it sort of.

I know it's a bit late... well, very late, but I thought I would post my January pick-up. I haven't really done much around gs for a while so there's my reason for it being late.

    January 09 pick-up

(Check out my awesome bombers bed thing )
They are: (From Left to right) Lego Star Wars 2, Dawn of War, Far Cry, Call of Duty 2, Metallica:Cunning Stunts, Naked Gun 1,2,3, Joe Satriani double CD pack, Batrman of the Future: Return of the Joker, Black Sabath. Iron Maiden and Chaser's War on Everything Season 1 volume 2.
All really great stuff that I've enjoyed.

That's about it for this blog. THanks for reading.

I'll start off by saying that this Saturday the 24th of January will be the day that I have been working for a full year at IGA. No big deal, just felt like saying it.

Moving on, yesterday I went to the shops and got a nice haul IMO. Spending a total of $89.95 inc. GST, I picked up:

    DVDs

Metallica - Cunning Stunts live show for $25 at JB

Batman - Return of the Joker for $10 at JB

The Naked Gun all 3 movies set for an insane $15.92 at Big W

    CDs

Joe Satriani 2CD pack with 'Not of this Earth' and 'Surfing With the Alien' albums for $15 at JB

Iron Maiden (self titled album) for $10 at JB

Black Sabbath (self titled album) for $13 at JB

Well worth the $89.95 I think. I've already listened to the CDs and they're great, but the Black Sabbath album cover scares the **** out of me.

Stop Looking at me!!! ... AAHHHH!!

Other news, my cousin had to sell his internet and gaming café. L I spent a bit of time there on the holidays going there for some enjoyment, occasionally with friends. He's owned it for about 5 years now and I finally went to my first lock-in (12am - 9am) just last holidays with Freek666. We wanted to do another one these holidays but that won't happen now because I don't think the new owners are up for that.

I also still have a heap of holiday homework to do and this week is the last week that I have to do it. I'm really only worried about the Maths, which is a heap of questions to answer. For History I have to write half page biographies on quite a few political leaders. And Italian, I was supposed to keep a journal of the things I did on the holidays, but it looks like I'm gonna have to try hard to remember what I did (which wasn't much) and make some stuff up.

GAH! Stupid school. Stupid year 11. I mean, what a crock of ****, honestly.

*sigh* I better start on that homework tomorrow or this weekend or something.

    That is all.

Today is the second anniversary of me being with gamespot.

I believe I first found her when searching for a walkthrough for a game. This is eventually where I always went for FAQs, walkthroughs and some cheats (no cheats anymore though). Eventually I started looking at reviews and then started checking out the forums.

And so on a hot summer's day in early 2007, while on school holidays between year 8 and year 9, while I was bored, we finally hooked up. We have been happy ever since, although with our ups and downs. Sometimes I just couldn't get through to her for some reason, other times she was just boring. But overall, it has been fun. even with some of the stupid things she did, I still love her.

Got to it today, in a topic about Pop Tarts! But, those things are awesome, too bad we can't find em here in Australia. It's taken me almost two years to reach it (2 years on January 18th). Never really focused on a post count much, I just posted wherever I saw fit.
