Has it always been like that? :| I don't recall any restrictions except for user signatures. At least the site is running smoothly. A year or two ago it wasn't even GameSpot; it was GlitchSpot. That's seriously what everyone called it.

Yeah, those restrictions are rather lame. Although that said, I recall back in the day when those restrictions weren't in place, and how crazy things were. Off-topic was 2048x the cesspool it is today(actually, OT today isn't too bad...so that's not saying much, but in 2004 or 05 it was an abomination, and arguments in system wars held more logic and relevance). I do think that past X amount of posts, you should be set free. I suppose they expect folks to fill out their profiles to gain points, but most people don't.

Wow, I never knew this rules exist. :lol: Guess I wasn't really "chatty" Oh and when you type the @ don't put a space between the names, since we don't actually receive a notification if you put a space there.

Too many people to respond to one by one so I'll just say thanks to all for your input, I know in the end my concerns will be rendered moot once I level up enough, still annoying however. :P

I'm just the opposite. I post so relatively little that I am always afraid I do not have enough posts given my level (level 39), and having been here for about 5 years, I don't think it would be enough. I never knew these restrictions even existed. But I wish you success. Remember, if you want to level up faster, use every part of the site, not just the forums!

Yeah it can get quite annoying but we will be to the required lvls soon hopefully.

Be glad we have such rules around here. The idea of getting spammed and cussed out by some cyberbrat doesn't seem too appealing to me. lol Thank God this isn't youtube. :P

I see and yes the rules are a pain to follow and to be honest I have been complaining about the rules but you just need to do your best to follow them to avoid moderations because too much moderations will result in a ban, that's GameSpot for you.

Yeah, I know, it sucks, but I put up with it and now I'm all good, just hang in there, you'll be free someday, and I would love to see that! As a Level 35 about to be a level 36, I should know that.

yep, there are all sorts of rules around here, flaky features and ban hammer happy mods. All in all though it's a solid place to hangout.

:lol: I remember whn i was round you level i used to hate these damn restrictions at different levels but you can make it to level 10 fast so enjoy that fast leveling up while you can although i agree with you the newbies need some freedom
