The Hunt for the Elusive Fanboys -ep. 1 Akshaidatta
This week we're on the hunt for the elusive fanboys, exposing their ways, and highlighting their recent escapades that earns them the title: "Fanboy."
Our fanboy of the week is, Akshaidatta. This specimen was discovered, along with many other of its kind, desperately trying to cover up his own insecurity with an insult. Here is the analogy used by our specimen:
"Sony reminds me of a cocky football player back at school. Wait until he gets his a** kicked and he'll never show his face again." -Akshaidatta article
Refering to Sony as "a cocky football player," could expose old "wounds" of the past, and or perhaps current situation. Though, this does not stop him from joining in the mindless bomb throwing.
Upon further inspection of Akshaidatta's profile, we find something that was expected. During E3 2006, Gamespot gave it's members free live coverage of Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft conferences. For each conference watched, Gamespot added a "Virtually There" button. Unlike true and normal gamers, who tend to view all three conferences, Akshaidatta lacks one button: Sony's. Although this does not reveal a whole lot, the content of his posts certainly back this up. We found this post from within a XBOX 360 thread [which can be deemed as an illegal post, due to it's system wars-like nature]:
"I'm sure Sony stabs themselves in the back everyday. I don't think anyone has thought about the fact that the very computer they develop games on are running on Windows OS. Unless of course they are spiteful enough to switch over to Linux once Microsoft entered the game industry. It must be so depressing booting up your comp at Sony and seeing the competitor's logo daily." -Akshaidatta thread
Once again, more sad and pathetic blasting of the Sony gaming corporation. Though Sony may have used a Windows operating system prior to XBOX's debut, it's a perfectly fair and wise marketing descision to switch their operating systems to Linux once Microsoft stepped foot into the gaming scene. Something Akshaidatta tried to desperately use inorder to sling mud at Sony.
As we draw to a close, we bid farewell to our specimen, Akshaidatta. We hope he, and many other fanboys, can harness whatever neurons they have left in their frontal lobe and change their ways. But of course, somethings are just too much to ask for from these people. See you fudds next week!
