    Love!

Yes my dear friends, Wiitendo is offically in love! And I gotz lots to share with everyone so grab a chair and listen to my story.

So in real life my name is Garrett, I got to school, play videogames, write stories, the usual stuff. I have a good bit of friends, not alot, but about 7. Well, before I met these wonderful people I was really self-centered, and read alot during lunch periods and stuff. On the first day I school I sat alone on a bench at lunch minding my business and reading a novel, well I looked over at the end of the bench and saw a beautiful girl sitting there reading the last Harry Potter book. Our eyes crossed and sent us in a retreat looking away from each other in embarrasment. I later found out that she was in my Spanish I class, her name was Julia. I don't know why, but I guess the saying is true, their was such thing as love at first sight.

Well months went on and I could look across the room and see her reading her books, not caring for the subject at all, somebody who could just put the world away, like in her pocket and escape to a different world of her own. I truely grew feelings for her, but soon I met my great friends and we really became close. Andres, one of my best friends, encouraged me to never be afraid and it really helped me today. Anyway I getting ahead of myself. Soon Christmas time came and I knew that she loved books alot so I decided to get her one of my favorite books, Watership Down. Love makes you do crazy things and I went and spent nearly 30bucks for a hardcover edition of the novel, and wrapped it myself. On the last day before the holiday break I saw her walking to the Gym to take the exam for that class, and with great courage I tapped her shoulder, grabbing her attention. With my eyes looking striaght into her's I took the gift out of my bookbag and handed it to her. All I got was a smile with a small thank-you and we went out seperate ways.

When we returned to school Jan.8 (The day after LSU kicked Ohio's ass!) we only made eye contact a few times, but I was afraid to speak to her in class since one of my friends, Alex was sitting next to me, and I would feel embarrased. One day Alex was absent so I got a chance to ask her if she read the book and she said, "Sorry I havn't been able to even read it, my sister conviscated it from me." I just smiled and told her it was alright, but I felt a little sad. Still I was determined never to give up, my friend Andres helped me carry on. My brother soon left to go into the Marines so now it was just me and my sister at home with both brothers in the military. I knew that they had both started new chapters of their lives so it came time for me to start my own. That next week I decided to talk to her. While in Spanish Class, we were in line to get our work checked so I looked over and asked her if she had heard of a book my sister had been reading called, Twilight. She was happy to say she had all three books and that she'd be glad to let me borrow it, so she did and this was only the first step to getting close to her. I talked with her a little each day about how the book was, but I wanted a chance to see and talk to her more, and that chance soon came.

Earlier this week was of course Valentine's Day week, and the school was going to allow us to dress-down (Not wear uniforms) on that day along with a double lunch. (Our lunchs are split into two different times) I had 2nd lunch while she had 1st, so this would be a chance for me to see her for atleast an hour and a half. For someone very quiet I thought she'd have no friends so nothing to distract her from me made me glad. Atlast the day came, and I wore my best cloths walking into school. Well lunch soon came and for the first time I went to 1st lunch. With my buddies I searced everywhere and finally found her with some friends of her's sitting on a bench. I was too nervous and shy to say hello so I chickened out and sat alone while my friends went to see other people. I instead began reading more of Twilight while also keeping my eye in the corner seeing her. I couldn't help but notice that she was constantly looking at me and atlast I saw her walk over to me. I looked up to see her with her pretty smile. I welcomed her to sit next to me and she did. We talked about stuff, making eye contact, and feeling pretty loose. It was great, and I knew that their was a dance this Saturday so I had the mind to ask her but before I could the bell rung. The hour and half of lunch flew by like seconds. She told me that she lived down a street real close to school, and I knew she took the bus everyday. Well while driving home a sudden thought told me to go there, and so I did. (Yes it'd look as if I were a stalker. ) As I passed down the street I saw the bus coming down the street knowing she was probably dropped off, I continued and then I saw her walking towards an apartment building, probably where she lived. After that I was in such a good mood that I passed my a store and picked up a cute little valentine's gift, a small monkey plush (Her favorite animal) and would decide to give it to her tomorrow.

Well tomorrow was TODAY and I was nervous. I came to school early to see her, and walk her to her homeroom class, that was next to mine. Today we got our interm-reports (kinda like half-way report cards.) I got passing in everything but AlgebraII (I hate math). Later in Spanish we watched a dumb movie, and afterwards I ignored my friend's yadda and went to her. With a striaght face I asked her if she wanted to go to the dance, sadly she said that her dad wouldn't let her, since she was failing everything. I WAS BUMBED! Heart-broken I went to my C-5 class...where my mind started working. I knew now that I couldn't go to the dance with her but I had to give her the gift. I thought I'd get to her street after school befor the bus and wait for her. I thought it was a silly idea, but I then said to myself, "WHY NOT!?" I didn't want to just give up, I was crazy! In gym I waited for the final minutes of the day, as my friend Andres told me not to give up, but surguessed that I go and ask her if she wanted a ride home instead of the bus. It was raining and I could drop her off right at her doorstep, so I decided to go with that, Plan B. After school I raced to the front of the school, but I suddenly saw her enter the bus right as I got there. I didn't know what to do...but then I said, "%&$^ it! I'm going with plan A! I raced to my car and hopped in turning it on, and dashed out of the parking lot and onto the road. With time against me I hurried through Friday traffic with nothing but sheer will to make it there. Atlast I reached the street and waited by her house in the car. I thought many times of just leaving and forgeting this, but I remembered Andres' advice, I couldn't fear what I truely wanted, and right now I wanted her and nothing was going to stop me! That's when I saw her, walking in the rain towards me.

I calmly stepped out of my car and removed my shades, with a smile I waved to her. She stopped for a second and gave me a look like, "Holy cow! ITS YOU!" so with a smile I walked up to her and said hi. She looked glad and surprised to see me. I told here I just passed by to say hi, and then she quickly asked for my number saying, "I wanna call you if my dad changes his mind." So I gladly gave her it and then I gave her the gift. Her eyes lite up and it looked as if her heart had melted. So with that I said goodbye and wished her luck with her father. With smilies we both parted and thus I returned to my car where I celebrated by playing, "Panama" on my stereo. So I got home and an hour later she called, with GREAT NEWS! Her dad she she could, but I'd have to meet him tomorrow! I agreed and we said bye for the night.

So that's the story, and I'm in love my friends. But tomorrow I have alot of work to do! I gotta met this girl's parents, and take her to the dance, so I gotta lot on my mind. If I'm absent for a while you'll know why, but I'll be sure to always stop by a little bit everyday even if I'm busy. Okay g-nite.

12/21/12: The End of the World Pt.3

Researching futher intothe prophecies I came accross info about finding the exact date. 2012,a year that is saidforEarth's end. Many go even further to saythat December 12, 2012 is the exact date. Still I could not believe this, but asI read more and more books it became clear that all these predictions came to one conclusion. The end is in 2012.

    Part III:12/21/12

[Well it's finally come to the last chapter of this article series. We've looked into the possible ends of the world, the people or man that may cause it, the prophets who brought us these predictions, and some who've proved wrong with their "end of the world." theories. But now it comes down to the date, 12/21/12, the very date that strikes fear into those who have learned of it's perpose. Wheither fact or fiction the amount of theories is endless, no one truely knows what will happen. Join me one last time as we look into the date of...]

    About2012

The big question, of course, is what's going to happen in 2012 - in particular on the winter solstice, Dec. 21.

Here's what is known: The ancient Mayan long-count calendar - a calendar that spans more than 5,000 years - comes to an end on Dec. 21, 2012. This coincides with a galactic alignment in which the sun will align with the center of the Milky Way galaxy, an event that occurs once every 26,000 years, which could have potentially catastrophic consequences. The galactic alignment has the potential to create a shift in the Earth's poles, which would cause disastrous environmental events. Many view this, in conjunction with the end of the Mayan calendar, as a sign of the end times. Viewers of the History Channel should be familiar with this theory, as the channel has featured the doomsday scenario in numerous programs.

But there is another theory, led by the likes of Jenkins, who makes his home in Windsor, and has spent much of the past two decades living and working with the traditional Maya in Guatemala. For him, 2012 is not the end. It's a chance for an unprecedented spiritual awakening. "It's an opportunity for human life to understand our true natures," he says. "There will be a great awakening to the greater potential that human beings have."

Some scholars believe the last day of the Mayan great cycle coincides with the Earth's destruction. A multitude of Mayan-calendar researchers and enthusiasts alike do not find the end of the "Great Cycle of the Long Count" to be a bad thing. Daniel Pinchbeck, author of "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl," further examines the word 'apocalypse,' as it is falsely used to describe only the end of the world.

"Apocalypse literally means uncovering or revealing. I think the process is already under way. We're on the verge of transitioning to a dispensation of consciousness that's more intuitive, mystical and shamanic," Pinchbeck told New York Times Magazine. The Mayan calendar is not as linear as our modern view on the passage of time. Rather, these ancient people charted repeating cycles based on the moon, sun and other celestial bodies. The mathematical calculations of the Mayans are still very accurate to this day, which is quite remarkable when one considers their lack of technology or modern tools. According to survive2012.com, the Long Count is made up of 13 Baktuns; the count keeps a continuous record of consecutive days and restarts about every 5,000 years, during which a new Baktun begins. Currently, we are in the 13th and final Baktun of the Mayan Long Count, calculated to reach completion in 2012.Despite the proposed end to be less than five years away, the general populace does not appear to be overly concerned. "I don't like to believe that anyone can predict the future," sophomore psychology major Caitlin Bizub said.

    More Relations to 2012
[Below are some info provided by armageddon online, with some 2012 relations.]

    • Terence McKenna's mathematical novelty theory predicts a point of singularity in which humankind will go through a great shift in consciousness.
    • The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, speculated that Pope Benedict XVI would reign during the beginning of the tribulation of which Jesus spoke, and sometime later a future pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", the last in this prophetic list, would appear, bringing as a result the destruction of the city of Rome and the Last Judgement.
    • Many new age spiritualists and philosophers ("new-agers") believe humankind will enter an age of enlightenment in 2012. There are a range of varying, generally positive, beliefs shared by a subset of spiritualists from the mundane to exceptional -- including a positive social shift and age of peace, mankind becoming psychic and connected by a collective, and/or an evolution of the human race into non-corporeal beings made of "spiritual" energy, or light energy. An alternative view is that we are already thought-forms (see also idealism) and will be realizing our true selves in this year.
    • Some alien-enthusiasts, along with some new-agers, believe 2012 to correspond approximately with the return of alien "watchers" or "caretakers" who might have helped the first human civilizations with developing their technology and may have been waiting for us to reach a higher level of technological and/or social advancement. Beliefs range from the extra-terrestrials having benevolent purposes -- such as to help human society evolve -- to malevolent purposes -- such as enslavement of mankind and/or manipulation.
    • The ascetic Buddhist monk Ram Bahadur Bomjon reportedly told his followers that he will return around 2012.
    • Some proponents of a peak oil catastrophe place major events in 2012. Richard C. Duncan's book The Peak of World Oil Production and the Road To The Olduvai Gorge claims that the Olduvai cliff will begin and permanent blackouts will occur worldwide. Several studies predict a peak in oil production in or around 2012.

    What do people think?

[As I said in the previous article many prophets such as Nostradamus have related the end of the world to be along that of the year, 2012. Besides that the true reason behind the 12/21/12 scare is the end of the mayan calendar, but that's reason enough to send the world into a panic. Here's what the online community are saying about the issue.]

Yahoo Question: Will the Earth end on December 20th, 2012 by Mattew D
    Answers:
    1. "I don't think it will end on that day. But it could be the beginning of the end, toward the start of a new era. Although before this era begins there will be trouble. What probably will happen is major world disaster such as the impacting of and asteriod on the earth. Followed by a massive world war in which radical Islamics take over the Middle East unite it under one empire and proceed to wage war on the West by invading Europe. 2012 is probably the the date where things get started, although it may take some years for for it to fully develop. Biblical and Nostrodamic prophesies also coincide with the Mayan calendar. I believe it will happen." - J7

    2. "I'm not clearing my calendar for the day. What did the Mayans know? Their world ended a long time ago." - Snowglode

    3. "The 2012 date on the Mayan calender isn't the end of the world, but rather the beginning of a new cycle, much the same way that our annual calender ends on December 31. It doesn't mean that we should prepare for the end of everything, it just means that this calender has run out and a new one is beginning." - CowboysFan

    4. "The Mayans Calendar, which is not predicting the end of the world in 2012, but the start of a new era on December 21st, 2012. The year 2012 marks the end of the "Great Cycle." When it came to mathematics, time and calendars, the Maya were geniuses. Believing that time repeated itself in cycles." - Rachelle Cadence of Shangri La

Yahoo Question: Is there a way? (2012?) [Is there a way to stop the 2012 end of the world.] - Adam S
    Answers:
    1. "the world not going to end just cause some Mayan Calendar says it is . think about this back in the day when people were saying computers are going to crash and the worlds going to end in 2000, did it , no. and its the same with 2012. All these predictions about 2012 were most like made up by some wack rich people sitting in a trick apartment bored stupid. So they gets off by scaring the crap out of folks like you and me. so do worry about it. nothings going to happen." - abfreitas142

    2. "just become emo then don't care, if the whole world is going to be nuked ther is nothign u can do and if it is as the christions the second comming of christ again there is nothign u can do and dont' believe it will be a great flood bc nucular radiation will kill you beofer that. trust me when i first heard of that theory i was all upset thinking i'm going to be dead before i'm even 25 i'm 17 now and this thought scared the crap out of me but if you live each day as you last and to the fullest and just forget this stupid theory then it will be okay and if on that day and you forgot about it and nothign happens weill then nothign happens and if somethign does happen there was nothing you could do and you wouldn't expect it like being shot in the back of the head one two three and its over nothing special or painful and if u do remember the worst that could happen is you being all worried all day and u die anyhow or you spend a whole daying worring when nothign happens trust me i'll be better if u just forget about this idea" - LoveLustLife

Yahoo Question: 2012? Real or Fake? - Joel b
    Answers:
    1. "Not too long until we find out, Eh? No one really knows, apparently. Is it asteroid, Nuke, climate change, Aliens coming to either eat us or take us away? Or, Just the end of the calender because the carver died, or something. People have been claiming the end of the world for millenia, after every eclipse, earthquake or tsunami, so who knows? It may be the end of us, But I doubt the world will vanish. It will be here for the next race to live on till they ruin it enough to get kicked off the ride." - Nick Nameless

    2. "In truth 2012 as the Mayans describe it (or so i have heard) is more of a revaluation of the world as we know it and not a calamity or the end of this world. maybe is would be a good thing. we'll have to see" - ayhamco

    My Thoughts:

So there ya have it, from prophets to internet users the theory of 2012 is spreading. Time waits on no one, eventually the date will come, and wheither we want it or not that day is going to happen, but will it be a normal blue-skyed day, or our last? No one truely knows the answer, all we have to go on is predictions and ancient stuff. Like many have said, their have been many end of the world predictions that've failed, so why do us, as humans, always look forward to an end? Well it's like reading a book, we read to get to the end, infact we all know that we have an end, but what about the end to everything around us? Yes occasionly we'll all wonder when is the end to this earth of ours, and times we begin to look for answers, wheither they come from the sky or even from a book. We all that this world of ours can't stay forever, 2012 or not, this Earth shall one day be gone to the universe but should that make us give up? No! We all have lives that too end, and it's not for us to stare and wait for doom, we must live, move on and look forward to the future. When 2012 comes we must hold our heads high and live while preparing for the worst. I tell you now that I do not believe in an end in 2012, because I know that I'd do my damn best to prevent anything, I'd stand before the 7-headed dragon, I'd challenge the stars, I'd do everything in my power to protect this home, this world. I do not believe in an end, I believe in a future for all of us. Just like how we believe that there's more after a story, the story of our lives may end, but our souls carry on. My friends never be scarred, look forward to love, peace, and future and if a time ever occured in our life where our world is threatened then let us stand and continue to live on to a bright future.
