Zanarkand.A city dead for 1000 years.A city I had to see with my own eyes. The end of Yuna's journey. The last chapter in my story.
My favorite game is Final Fantasy X(that probably wasn't hard to guess)because it's the most beautiful and emotional game I've ever experienced.I love games with an emotional or deep story or games with a lot of spirituality, which is why Final Fantasy VII,Final Fantasy VIII,Shenmue 2,Lost Odyssey,Heavy Rain are also amongst my favorite games. My favorite game genre is RPGs and I think Japan make the best RPGs.I like to collect Japanese games because I find most of them fun to play or very charming.
I love anime, whether it's romance & comedy, drama, action, and the more story oriented ones.I also love the ones with a lot of atmosphere(such as Cowboy Bebop). My top 3 favorite anime series are Rurouni Kenshin,AI Yori Aoshi,Suzuka. Some of my other favorites anime series include:-Cowboy Bebop,Macross,Love Hina,Air Gear,Akikan,Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040,Dragon Ball Z(including some of the movies),Gantz,Rumbling Hearts,Mobile Suit Gundam 0079.
I love Asian movies.I love many films from China,Thailand,Japan,Vietnam,Korea.I love Asian horror films,some of the Asian horror movies I like include:Nang Nak(Thailand),The Eye(Hong Kong and Thailand version),The Eye 2(Hong Kong),Suicide Club(Japan),Tale of Two Sisters(Korea),Shutter(Thai version),The Grudge 1 and 2(Japanese version),The Ring 1 and 2(Japanese version),Koma(Hong Kong),Isola(Japan).
Other Asian movies I love include Mah Nakorn,Curse of the Golden Flower,Hero,House of Flying Daggers,Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon,The Myth,Casshern.
My favorite Japanese bands are M.O.V.E,Japan-X,Morning Musume,Gazette,Blood Stain Child and I like some of Erica Hashimoto's songs.I also like female Korean pop groups,J-Pop,Thai pop music,Chinese emo/pop music,Marilyn Manson and I like the song Wind of Change by the Scorpions.I also like soundscapes and new age music. My favorite classical music is Johan Pachelel's Canon.
Some blogs are too personal for me to post on Gamespot so I'll post them here:

On my second playthrough of Atelier Totori,I managed to get to diamond ranking quite easily, with a year left to spare, however,I was unable to get the normal ending because I didn't do just one event and to get the normal ending, you have to do a bunch of events/objectives and without a guide it's nearly impossible to get the normal ending because you have to be in a certain place at a certain time to trigeer some events. The reason I didn't follow the guide to see which events I needed to do for the normal ending was becaue I assumed if I got my license renewed,it wouldn't need to do much afterwards to get the normal ending and when I read the guide I was mostly reading the segments on how to earn points for my license.Fortunately,I kept a save file before the event I missed out on because I had a feeling I might need to backtrack but it means I will need to redo a lot of work and do a lot of monotonous fetch quests and battles.I want to at least get the normal ending so I can feel like I actually beat the game. The true ending can wait

I made it up to platinum ranking for my adv. license but I needed to go up one more ranking(diamond ranking)and I needed another 240 more points.I don't know what I did wrong, but I'm playing through the game again and I'll try to be more conservative with how I use my days in the game.Atelier Totori is still a fun game though,it's charming and lovely to look at and it's story has a good mystery/emotional side to it because you can try to find out what happened to Totori's mother and whether she's still alive or not.
I will keep playing Atelier Totori for a while and at least try to get the normal ending so I can feel satisfied I at least beat the game and I will try to get it's true ending and plat it later on.I don't feel like playing any other game at the moment, but I can get in the mood to play Atelier Totori because it's beautiful and colorful and it's music is relaxing.I'm waiting for my copy of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex for PSP to arrive and I will switch over to playing through that game and I should be able to beat it quickly (it's a short game) and I will go back to playing Atelier Totori.

It has things that old school JRPG fans will like such as towns with people and the artsty1e is colorful and charming.Atelier Totori is different from most other RPGs because it's story progresses as it's in-game time passes by(as well as when you travel to new locations and talk to people). You have a time limit to complete your main objective which is to reach a certain rank for her adventurer license. To increase the rank on her license, she can do things such as fighting monsters, doing sidequests, exploring areas, alchemy(which requires you to find or buy certain items) etc.You have 3 or 4 game years to reach that ranking(different people have said different things),which doesn't look too difficult, but you'll need to manage your time because you'll need to do a bit of level grinding and travelling through areas uses up days, and alchemy uses up days too(but alchemy can be a quicker way to earn ranking points, same with sidequests)and if you want to restore the health of your characters by having them rest,it will use up days too.The battle system is turn-based but you can do things to increase the speed(turns)of your party members(just like in Final Fantasy X).
I really like the visuals for the game, especially it's combination of lush countryside beside beautiful blue seaside.
I'm too early into the game to judge the game's story, but the story already has a bit of emotional drive and some of the characters are funny and some characters from Atelier Rorona and other Gust games are present in this game.
Most likely though, you'll need to be a big JRPG fan to enjoy this game.

I bought a copy of Moero Downhill Night and last night I installed it and when I tried to play it,it asked for an activation code and I typed in the activation code that was included in the manual but it says the activation code is invalid.I've tried to type in that code many times with and without caps lock on but it says the code is invalid.I've emailed the distributer of the game(Peach Princess)and asked them can they validate my activation code or give me a new activation code(I don't know how I can prove to them I bought a genuine copy of the game besides sending them my copy of the game but I don't want to do that because it will cost more money than what I paid for the game to do so).I also emailed the activation code provider named software defender who you can pay money to and they will put an activation code on any software you own to deter people from making copies of your software and I told them I purchased a genuine copy of the game and gave them my invalid code and maybe they can check it or something and I hope they can they can validate my code or supply me a new activation code.
This is what I hate about PC gaming, many times when I've tried to play a PC game, something will prevent me from playing it such as an invalid activation code or my PC hardware is too modern or not powerful enough or some games don't support newer versions of windows or require windows vista or something like that.
I am still waiting for a response from both of them,I wonder if I will ever get one.Oh yeah, incase you're wondering,Moero Downhill Night is like a visual novel, hentai version of Initial D.You play the role of a guy who's a navigator for some hot female driver/s and you can make decisions during races that will affect whether you win or lose a race and you have a limited amount of time to make those decisions because you're in a race!

Final Fantasy XIII-2
I love FFXIII,I love it's world/setting and I'd really like to learn what the characters have been up to since the end of FFXIII and to see how they've changed.I like how Serah will be a playable character and will play a bigger role in FFXIII-2.Noel Kreiss sounds like an interesting character because he comes from 700 years in the future and he's the last surviving human and he's travelled back in time in an attempt to save humanity.Hope returns but he's grown up now(people complained they didn't like Hope because he was a kid and was sad and scared a lot because his mother died right before the start of FFXIII's story)even though it's unfair to blame Hope for being upset because of that and I like how FFXIII tried to use characters who are like real people. But anyways,I'm interested to see what a 24 year old Hope will be like.Snow returns too.FFXIII-2 is designed so it's story is going to be more darker and less cheerful than the original.
The Last Guardian

Tales of Graces F

Ni Nu Kuni

I'm looking forward to it because I want to see an older-sty1e charming JRPG come to a current gen console(I know it's going to be released for DS too). It's artsty1e looks stunning.
Atelier Meruru
Atelier Totori received mostly positive responses from western critics(which is a good sign)so I don't see why Atelier Meruru can't be a great game.
Neptunia 2

I liked Hyper Dimension Neptunia, and even though Neptunia 2's battle system is supposed to be quite different,I'm confident Idea Factory/Compile Heart made Neptunia 2's battle system fun too. Also, unlike the first HDN game,Neptunia 2 doesn't have random battles.Dragons Crown

Vanillaware did a great job with Muramasa and many people say Odin Sphere is a good game and Dragon's Crown looks like another fun 2D JRPG and it can be played in single player mode or multiplayer mode or online. It's gameplay ideas sounds interesting, because after you die,an AI party member or human party member can revive your character. The game have very busty female characters not wearing much clothing too.Yakuza: Dead Souls

Using Kazume and Akiyama to kill zombies sounds awesome, and they have to rescue who's been kidnapped! The Last Story
Written and designed by the creator of Final Fantasy and Lost Odyssey.Tales of Xillia

Final Fantasy X HD

I'm excited about my favorite game of all time coming to HD.I'm looking forward to experiencing it's story again and going on another great adventure in Spira and seeing all the beautiful locations in HD and experiencing the beautiful music again.I know this isn't a HD screenshot of FFX,but I thought I'd show Tidus and Yuna together in the lake together because it is one of the most memorable moments in gaming I've ever experienced.
Mass Effect 3

Dragon's Dogma

Possible Final Fantasy Agito
The cinematics and battle system for FF Agito looks awesome,I hope it gets localized and soon.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII ?
I keep waiting for it every year, even though it never comes out.Could this year the year? I hope so,I like how it's cinematics look(I like how it's world has a more modern sty1e look and it's got a darker sty1e to it)and the blonde-haired female character looks pretty because she has Asian features. The music for the trailer is relaxing and beautiful,I hope it's used for the game.

I'm waiting for my copy of it to arrive. For people who don't know,Atelier Totori is a JRPG developed by Gust the sequel to another JRPG named Atelier Rorona.I haven't played Atelier Rotona because it has certain things that look/sounded offputting to me.Atelier Totori looks/sounds better to me because it has prettier female characters(I don't like the way the female main character for Atelier Rorona looks)and Atelier Totori requires you to complete only 1 assignment before a deadline and you get 3 years of game time to do it and it's easy to do,where as Atelier Rorona, each chapter has an assignment which needed to be completed before a deadline which restricted your free time that you could use to explore the world or do level grinding.Unlike Atelier Rorona which has a single guage for MP and HP,Atelier Totori has 3 guages for HP,MP and LP(a character's LP is consumed when they travel the world and is needed to perform actions during battle and when a character's LP gets below 25% they'll receive some sort of penalty).Atelier Totori has received good scores from many western critics, which is a good sign when a JRPG receives good scores from western critics.

I've finally beaten Kingdom of Paradise. It took me 22 hours. It's a lovely JRPG with a strong Chinese feel to it.I won't ramble on about all the great things it has because I've talked about them in other blogs, but I'll say it has some beautiful locations in it and it's combat has a great fluid,real-time,martial arts sty1e to it and if you like JRPGs and own a PSP,you should pick it up,especially since the game is cheap.I will review it later on too.

----------------------------
The big news of the day is Zelda Skyward Sword's review. Many people(including me)are very surprised it scored only 7.5,especially since it was scoring so much higher with other critics and has/had a metacritic score of 95.But,scores have become almost meaningless to me,especially after I played Nier and it became one of my favorite games of this generation but scored only 5.0 on Gamespot.
Yakuza 4 is my favorite game of the year even though it scored an 8.0 which is lower than many other games this year but it doesn't bother me.People have their own opinions. It's just like how Gamespot often gives FPS games higher scores than JRPGs,even though I love JRPGs and find most FPS games boring.
Zelda Majora's Mask scored 8.3 but some people say Majora's Mask is their favorite Zelda game.My favorite Zelda game is Windwaker, but saying so is sacrilege to many Zelda fanboys because they think a person is supposed to either have Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past as their favorite Zelda game. After a person plays Skyward Sword, they might like it more than other Zelda games that scored higher than it.

I've mentioned in previous blogs that it's a movie that I love and it's a great,Japanese fantasy movie from the 1980's and that I hadn't watched it in a long time but I ordered a copy of it.Well that copy arrived 2 weeks ago and I've watched the movie 3 times and I love it.It has 2 romance stories, and a fantasy feel/elements,blended with Japanese cultural elements and the way the scenes are acted makes the movie feel like a role-play at times.the movie has emotional moments and it's quite an adventure too.Too bad the version I bought only has the English VO's,but I paid only 1$ for it.I tried to find a version with the original Japanese VA,but the only seller who sold that looked dodgey. But,at least the localized version has great 1980's music,I can't remember if I've watched the Japanese version of it,so I don't know what music it has.The picture quality for my version of it isn't that great,I'm not sure if it's because the movie is from 1983 or because my version might be a pirate(if it is,I didn't intentionally buy a pirate,I bought whatever eBay had). But anyways,JustAdam wanted to know what I thought about the movie after I watched it again,so this is what I think about it

I need help getting the trophy for 3 straight wins in ranked mode.I've read on a guide you and a friend can help eachother get that trophy by both using the matchmaking feature for ranked mode simutanously.Basically, you beat them 3 times in a row and then you let them beat you 3 times in a row.I know it's morally cheating and other players might get inconvienced if you drop out of a match if the match making puts them against you,but not many players seem to play Blazblue during certain hours anyways.Plus, when I tried to start a match with some people when I played Street Fighter 4 online, many of them dropped out of the match before the match started, probably because I didn't have Japanese,or Korean or Spanish of French as my language.Or if another person has a low level,we can try to find eachother by using the custom matchfinder because I have a low level(I am level 1)and it will try to help me find someone with a low level. And if you want me to help you get that trophy,I will let you beat me 3 times in a row too.Other than that trophy, the other trophies/platinum look very gettable.I've already beaten the game on Hell difficulty.I just suck against human players. -
10Nov 11
An hour before I went to bed,I put my PSP on charge(because I've been playing the great Kingdom of Paradise)I decided to give Blazblue a try.I first selected story mode, but there was so much dialogue it was like watching a visual novel,so I quit story mode and tried arcade mode. The first time I played arcade mode, the character I selected was Tager and I left the difficulty on normal difficulty(which is the default)and I beat the game on normal difficulty without using a continue. To beat arcade mode on normal difficulty with Tager, all you have to do is make him do that attack where he makes himself into the shape of a giant bullet/shell by pressing down and X and I did this constantly, and none of the CPU characters were able to beat me.
Then I tried ranked mode online.I played 2 matches,I selected Tager for them both and lost them both, but I managed to win a round against both opponents and came close to winning the deciding rounds and one opponent was level 26 and another opponent was over level 40.My character was a lowly level 1 lol.I decided not to play anymore matches online because if I managed to win a match I didn't want the fact I would be only 2 more consecutive wins away from the ''3 consecutive wins in ranked mode'' trophy on my mind when I had to go to sleep or work the next day.
When I played Street Fighter 4,it was easy for me to go on 3 match winning streaks in ranked mode because many noobs play SF4(maybe because the Street Fighter series is one of the most popular fighting game series around) and many of them use Ken or Ryu and spam hadoken or shoryuken and it's easy to beat those noobs by using Blanka to do a forwards/vertical roll over the top of their hadoken or I just wait for them to spam the shoryuken and block it and counterattack them and if they got desperate they'd try to do an aerial attack and I'd counterattack it with a vertical roll. But I'm not sure if Blazblue has as many noob players as SF4,so I don't know if I can earn a 3 match winning streak on ranked mode in Blazblue
I've heard you can easily win 3 consecutive matches in ranked mode by meeting somebody online and working together, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to work.

The the more I play Kingdom of Paradise, the more I like it,even though I'm only up to Western Byakko,I've invested 6 hours into this game(and keep in mind this is a game that can be beaten in 15 hours)and I've been level grinding, exploring the locations and upgrading my weapons and accessories. It's towns are quite big and it has some nice places to travel through, whether it's over mountains, through countryside, forest, towns etc.I liked it when I was travelling over high mountainous terrain and I saw a beautiful view of either the sea or lake sure below and some stunning scenery.

I've levelled up my wood chi to level 3 and to charge up a level 3 spell takes about 3 seconds but it unleashes powerful magic to all/most enemies within a certain distance/radius.
I prefer Kingdom of Paradise more than another popular JRPG that was also released in 2005 named Dragon Quest 8.If it wasn't for Jade Empire,Kingdom of Paradise would be my favorite 2005 release.Jade Empire is another RPG that has a lot of Chinese influence/mythology.
I hope I can make it through Kingdom of Paradise because I've been in a bit of a gaming rut lately.I haven't been able to beat most games I've started lately.I was enjoying Xenoblade Chronicles a hell of a lot but then I couldn't find the way to where I need to go next(even though the game has a pointer that directions you where you need to go next)because the environments have many passages you can take but many of them don't lead where you need to go and I don't feel like having to watch a youtube guide to see how I can get to where I need to go next.I was enjoying Phantasy Star 2 Portable, but I don't like how I need to do lots of level grinding during sidequests to be strong enough to do the story quests because it makes it take too long for me to be able to watch story scenes and you need to do certain things to unlock the story quests.I beat Deus Ex Human Revolution and it really drew me into it's world and I want to playthrough it again and experience it's detailed, dystopian Sci Fi world again.I mentioned the problem I had with Majin and the Forsaken kingdom in a previous blog and it's a shame because it's a great and charming game.Skies of Arcadia Legends is a great game but it's time consuming because the enemies are very strong and I've spent a lot of time level grinding but the enemies can still wear down the health of my party members quite quickly or I will use up all my magic quickly and will need to return to a place to heal my characters and restore their magic, plus it can be time consuming trying to find where I need to go/what I need to do next and I don't want to have to watch through long sections of walkthroughs on youtube.I will play it again when I have more time.
I wish I was one of those rich people who don't need to work very much,so I could invest more time into gaming, such as into long JRPGs or platinuming more PS3 games.I really would like to platinum FFXIII but I don't want to have to watch a guide to see where all the Cieth Stones are(if you've played FFXIII,you'll know that the Cieth stones are scattered throughout Gran Pulse and it's a HUGE place)plus doing all the farming to get the trophy for having all weapons/accessories and spending lots of time levelling up to level all my characters to the max will take a hell of a lot of time. The thought of spending over 100 hours to earn a platinum trophy for some games sounds very daunting when you have to work/study plus have other commitments such as looking after your kids or trying to have a social life.
After and if I beat Kingdom of Paradise,I might play another Code R,because I want to play something where I can sit back and relax and experience an interesting story and beautiful scenery, and I know that game has puzzles but I just want a break from RPGs and action games.I also wish more visual novels would get localized because I find them relaxing and enjoyable and I like making story decisions.

Kingdom of Paradise has been a very fun JRPG so far.The game has influence from Chinese and Japanese culture, but it has more Chinese cultural influence than Japanese cultural influence.
It's an action RPG,and the battles are in 100% real time and are very fast paced. You can do hack n slash sty1e attacks or perform chi(magic)attacks. The chi system is interesting because you can use chi as long as it's charged up and you can charge up your chi at anytime and it only takes about a second to charge up chi attacks and chi attacks are quite powerful,to the extent they make your weapon attacks redundant and chi attacks can hit multiple enemies too.
I love the way the world looks, the towns have a traditional Asian sty1e to them, and you'll see waterfalls and beautiful scenery and areas that look like they're rice fields. The music is relaxing and has a traditional Chinese sty1e sound to it.It has other things I like such as village people wondering around the towns and my character named Shinbu is being accompanied by a cute Asian girl named Sui Lin who's my other party member so far and during cutscenes the characters move their lips when they talk and actually move their body. The game has an option for Japanese VA and this game is impressive for a game released back in 2005.

As for my purchase of Blazblue Calamity Shift, some people say Blazblue Continuum Shift is better, but I found Calamity Shift for dirt cheap,so I decided to pick it up to see why many people say it's such a great fighting game.I don't play fighting games much anymore, but I liked the Guilty Gear games, which Blazblue is supposed to be influenced from. It's story sounds interesting too. It's platinum trophy doesn't look too difficult to get either, the only trophy that I'm worried I won't be able to get is it's trophy for 3 straight wins in ranked mode.

I'm enjoying the Persona 4 anime.I've watched the first 3 episodes of it.It has the feel of the Persona 4 game.Chie looks prettier in the P4 anime than she does in the P4 game.Nanako looks adorable in the anime.Just like the P4 game, the P4 anime has a good mixture of humor and dark, chilling feel.I like how a calender is used to show the beginning of each new day(just like in the game).

In Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom,I'm stuck in chapter 3 because I don't know how to remove a barrier that's blocking a door in the Big tree.I've even watched a youtube guide and did what the person who did the guide did to remove the door but it didn't work.I read a guide and it said to do what the guy in the youtube walkthrough did.I don't know what I did wrong or if I've done something wrong(it wouldn't be the first time a glitch has stopped me from progressing through a game). On the youtube walkthrough and on the guide, you're told to destoy an object that creates a barrier that creates the barrier to the door in the Big tree.I destroyed that object and it even said the Big tree barrier has been removed but when I went to the Big tree, the barrier is still over the door.If it is a glitch,I'm not going to restart the game again, and it would be a shame because I really enjoyed the game and I believe I can platinum it and I want to earn more platinum trophies for Japanese games.

I bought a copy of Skies of Arcadia a week ago and it arrived to my house and I've been playing it when I've had free time and when I've been feeling well(I've been sick lately)and I love Skies of Arcadia so far,I like how it has the good old JRPG elements such as a world map and towns and it's turn-based sty1e combat gives it a c1assical JRPG feel. The concept of people living in towns that are on floating landmasses that are very high in the sky is very imaginative and I like how when you navigate your flying ship you'll need to adjust the altitude of your flying ship because some landmasses float higher than others, and the giant waterfalls that are high in the sky are stunning and I love the beautiful view of the blue sky and clouds.

I've bought Madden NFL 2011.It's cheaper and scored higher than Madden 2012.I don't mind American football because it has intricate stratagies/formations,but I only like NFL and not college football.

I also bought the PSone version of Resident Evil 2(it's on discs)because it's not available on PS store in my region and I know it's available on Japan's PS store and I don't know if it's available on other PS store regions but I want to own a physical copy of the game anyways.I've never played RE2,but I've heard many people say it's the best RE game.I've played RE1,RE3,RE4,RE5,RE Outbreak 2 but I have not have played RE2 and it's something I should do something about, since it's c1assic sty1e RE and it's regarded by many as the best RE game.RE4 is my favorite RE game that I've played so far though.I've only recently learned that Resident Evil 0 is a good scoring Gamecube exclusive RE game that has the c1assic RE sty1e to it and I've seen copies of it for cheap so I might pick it up later.Copies of RE2 that are in good condition are quite cheap.

Super Mario 3D Land and Zelda Skyward Sword are due out this month. The prices for the 3DS are about as much as 2 new release games now(for where I live anyways)but I'm on a tighet budget but Super Mario 3D Land looks so fun and it's levels look creative and it's tempting me to buy a 3DS.Zelda Skyward Sword looks breath taking when Link flies around on top of that flying creature. But I'll wait for Zelda Skyward Sword to drop in price a bit because I have other games to beat first.

10.Zealots(Resident Evil 4)
Zealots are enemies in RE4 who wear robes and hoods and what scares me about them is they'll continously chant a creepy chant and you can hear it from far away and as a zealot gets closer to you, you'll hear the chant getting closer and closer and look at their horrifying looking smiles. Some of them carry shields that can block a lot of gunfire and they will attack you with hook-shaped bladed weapons or a spiked ball on a chain weapons or sometimes crossbows and they laugh as they get close to you and it's creepy!

9.Psychotic village people(Resident Evil 4)
I remember how the psychotic village people in RE4 tried to kill me on sight and they terrified me because I didn't know why they were so psychopathically hostile towards me and to people who came from outside of the village and because they behaved like normal people until they saw me(they did farm work and other actitivies just like normal people)and I still remember the psychotic expression on their faces and the way they came marching towards me in big numbers and they'll use everyday objects such as farmtools and knives as weapons and will even try to outflank you/sneak up behind you.

8.Crying ghosts(Fragile Dreams)
Sadness and despair can lead to anger and hate and that's what I think these crying ghosts in Fragile Dreams might be feeling.Perhaps they're sad that they're dead or perhaps they were sad when they died and their conciousness is trapped in a state of emotional distress, but when I hear these female crying ghosts crying and all of a sudden they try to kill Seto for some reason,it's very disturbing. It's like they're mentally unstable and it causes them to become psychotic.
(Cannot find a picture of the crying ghosts)
7.Silent Hill 4 ghosts
I'm refering to the ghosts in Silent Hill 4 that can harm a human from a distance and without even touching the human by using some psionic ability .When I played Silent Hill 4 and I saw these ghosts,I thought to myself ''I better run!!!!!''.I can't remember how they looked, but they scared me in a more psychological type of way, because I knew they could hurt my character from far away without even physically touching him!
(Cannot find a picture of the Silent Hill 4 ghosts)
6.The Engravers(Fatal Frame 3)
When the engravers were alive, they were tattoo artists who's job was to tattoo the painful thoughts of people onto a priestess's body(a priestess is a person who is choosen to have their body covered in tattoos that tell the painful thoughts/memories that people feel so those people don't have to feel the pain from those thoughts/memories anymore). The engravers must gouge out their eyes for the tattooing ritual and they must also pierce their hands for the ritual so they can transfer pain during the ritual. After the engravers completed a ritual, their arms were cut off.Because the engravers have no eyes, they react to hearing your footsteps and they use needle arms to attack you with.

5.Crawling ghost(Fatal Frame 2)
A female ghost who commited suicide by jumping from the top of a staircase. Her limbs were broken upon impact, right before she died and she chases her victims by crawling on the ground. Her horribly disfigured body really disturbs me.

4.Broken Neck Ghost(Fatal Frame 2)
Not much is known about her since she was a guest in the mansion, but her disfigured neck his horrifying and everytime I see her it scares me and makes me feel depressed in a sadistic way.
3.Sae Kurosawa(Fatal Frame 2)
She is a violent, female ghost who was choosen as one of the twins to be sacrifised for the ritual that prevents an ongoing darkness that spreads over landscapes and that causes crops to fail and people to die.Sae and her sister ran away but Sae wanted her soul to be joined with her sister's forever so she delibrately allowed herself to get caught but her sister didn't get caught so the ritual wasn't properly done.Sae was hung from the neck and her body was dropped into a deep hole in the ground refered to as the abyss where the souls of dead people can emerge from and where the ongoing darkness comes from.Sae's spirit returns to the village to get revenge on the village people and she slaughtered every person she came across and killed everyone in her old family home(including her own family members as punishment for letting her and her sister by sacrifised by the village people even though Sae wanted to be sacrifised)and she even went to the extent of searching the village for surviving people to kill. She can also possess people's bodies and get them to kill other people.Another thing that makes her scary is she has a lot of blood stains on her kimono.
2.Twin Doll(Fatal Frame 2)
A girl was forced to allow her twin sister to be sacrifised so the ritual that prevents the darkness from happening could be performed. The girl was so depressed afterwards that her father made her a doll that looked very much like her sister and looked life-like.The girl treated the doll as if it was her sister and eventually the doll becomes possessed by an evil spirit and the doll convinces the girl to kill her father.

1.Kyouka Kuze (Fatal Frame 3)
She is a ghost who can look like the typical Asian horror styl e,female ghost with pale skin and long black hair but she can change her appearance to sometimes have blood around her mouth and around her eyes and to sometimes have black around her eyes and the reason she is the #1 scariest villain for me is because of the way she can look beautiful but still a bit creepy one minute but then horrifying and grotesque the next. She is searching a mansion looking for the man she loves(named Akito)who wasn't allowed to stay with her when they were both alive. She had a child with Akito but male children aren't allowed to stay in the mansion and she had to smuggle the child to a village otherwise the child would have been thrown into a well and left for dead. She waited for Akito to come back to her and hoped to be with her child again before she died.

Right now,the games I want to beat next are Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom,Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles.
I started playing Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom today and I love it.I like the gameplay concept of giving Majin orders and he does what you tell him too while controlling Tepeu.Majin is a large, powerful mythical being who can inflict a lot of damage to enemies by pounding them and his actions are needed for some puzzles(such as giving Tepeu a lift to higher areas, lifting heaving doors and lifting heavy objects to use as weapons and blowing wind to move objects)and Tepeu is the human guy who can do platform jumping and can get to areas that Majin cannot where switches are.Tepeu is obviously much weaker and can die a lot more easier than Majin can in combat,Tepeu can contribute to combat by attacking enemies, and even though his attacks are much weaker than Majin's,Tepeu and Majin can perform powerful joined combo attacks on enemies.
The game has a nice Asian influence and has some beautiful visuals, including some lovely natural scenery.
The only thing I don't like about the game so far is the voice acting(I wish it came with a Japanese VA option or even a Chinese VA option).

------------
In Phantasy Star Portable 2 I'm only up to chapter 2,but that's because you need to do a bit of level grinding before you're strong enough for the story quests.I've been doing some of the sidequests but you need to unlock most of them first.I've beaten all but one of the sidequests that are unlocked, the one I haven't beaten is one that has a dragon boss.

-----------
In Xenoblade Chronicles I'm trying to find a path that can get me to where I need to go.The environments in Xenoblade Chronicles are so huge and even with a pointer that shows you where to go it's sometimes hard to find where you need to go and I sometimes I'll run around in circles trying to find a path that will let me go to where I need to go until I feel dizzy and I don't feel like trying to find a walkthrough on youtube that shows me where to go and having to watch through it.
-----------
I also want to play Sakura Wars So Long My Love(which I've owned a sealed copy of for 5 months)Jade Cocoon 2 and Shadow Hearts Covenant(which I own copies of but haven't even started playing them). This doesn't even include my copies of Tales of the Abyss,Wild Arms 4,Suikoden Tactics that I haven't even started yet,and I also haven't played much of my copy of Shadow of the Colossus but that's because I plan to get ICO collection.I'm not even close to beating SMT Nocturne or Digital Devil Saga. This is what you get what you play many JRPGs lol. But,it's because sometimes I get bored of level grinding and move onto another JRPG for a while or because I don't have time to beat them because JRPGs take up a lot of time or because I get lost when I play them.
-------------
Next Wednesday I get paid, and I want to buy Skies of Arcadia and Tales of the World Radiant Mythology on that day.Tales of the World looks interesting because it has characters from multiple Tales series games in it.I know it scored only a 6.0 but I trust Gamespot's JRPG reviews as far as I can lift and throw a real sized car.I hope they're not sold out by then or the good deals for them on eBay aren't gone by then.Since I am on a tight budget, they're the only 2 games I want to buy in the next 2 weeks, and after that I'm thinking about buying Tales of Symphonia 2,but PAL versions of it are often close to or over 100 bucks!

It sucks Arc of Rise Fantasia isn't released for PAL region because I'd definately buy it if it was.I bought a copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles last night.I don't know how much I should expect to like it but I don't mind hack n slash RPGs.I even liked FF CC The Crystal Bearers even though it's combat is weird because I like it's story, characters, and it's world that's a mix of fantasy.Sci Fi and that has beautiful locations. The thing that kinda worries me about FF CC is Wikipedia says it has only 1 female main character and she doesn't look very pretty, where as FF CC The Crystal Bearers has a very pretty female main character(Belle)and The Crystal Bearers has lots of sex appeal.

Phantasy Star Portable 2 has been fun so far.I like it's battle system because it allows me to pick up and play the game without thinking too much(it's hack n slash styl e but I've heard it becomes more tactical later on).It has pretty cinematics, and Emilia is a girl who looks and acts cute and Chelsea is hot for a female elf.The game shows some beautiful scenery of space/nebula clouds and even though it has a lot of the typical Sci Fi styl e environments,it has some nice natural environments too.
It's quest system seems a bit like FFVII Crisis Core's where there's a certain place you can go to that immediately takes you to where your next quest is.The thing is,some quests need to be unlocked by walking around and talking to people and I like how the game allows you to talk to NPCs(something that's sometimes not present in JRPGs released this gen).In the story missions, the enemy difficulty depends on what level your character is so it's beneficial to do do sidequests to gain better weapons/armor.But in the sidequests, the enemies are a certain level, and you can overwhelm them by having superior stats but you can adjust the difficulty level of the sidequests if you want to keep them challenging. The game has the typical Japanese charm, for example,on a planet that's filled with dangerous lifeforms you can visit a store that sells candy and the store has pretty females working there. The game also shows the space channel 5 TV station on TV and I think the purple haired lady that is on space channel 5 on Phantasy Star 2 is the same lady from the space channel game.
The game allows you to select your gender, race,c lass and to name your character.
A save file from Phantasy Star Portable 2 can be imported into the Japanese version of Valkyria Chronicles 2 ito unlock Emilia in Valkyria Chronicles 2.
The new game I bought is Another Code R.It's the sequel to Another Code:Two Memories AKA Trace Memory.Admittedly I haven't played Two Memories and my DS doesn't work anyways. But Another Code R looks very beautiful and interesting. The story is about a teenage girl named 'Ashley' who's trying to solve the mystery of her mother's death as well as learning about a memory control device and she investigates things that have happened at Lake Juliet and it's a place she remembers being in before but she can't remember much about it.It's an adventure/puzzle game where you need to look for clues to solve puzzles. The game has a beautiful artstyl e.

I wanted to start playing Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom today but it was cold today and I didn't wanna sit in front of my PS3.I wanted to lay under a blanket and play a game on my PSP instead so I started playing Phantasy Star Portable 2.I wanted to watch Legend of the 8 Samurai but it hasn't arrived yet.
When I get paid next week I will try to buy a copy of Skies of Arcadia for Gamecube. It's another good and rare JRPG I wanna play and own

You've probably heard about the flooding in Thailand on the news,it's horrible.Over 300 people dead,1/3 of Thailand is underwater. And the worst of the flood is probably still to come.Thailand is a small country in geographical terms(it's slightly larger than the U.S state of California in size)with an estimated 90 million people crammed into that space, and people are trying to get onto high ground or away from the flooding,so some people are living on overpass road bridges or are crammed into community buildings.100 000 people are now homeless from the floods.Things were finally starting to look good for Thailand, with semi universal healthcare being introduced to Thailand a decade ago and an end to most of the political violence and democracy reinstated but now Thailand has to deal with another disaster

It's horrifying how people so easily lose their lives in motorsport. He was quite a character too.Moto GP won't be the same without him.He most likely would have won premier c lass races(he was only in his second year in premier class) and he was one of the best riders around.

Deus Ex HR is an awesome game.Like I've mentioned in previous blogs,it has amazing futuristic neon city atmospheres that have a lot of detail when you explore them and you can even see the pollution in the sky that always keeps the sky dark.It has music that sounds eery but beautiful. And it's gameplay reminds me of cover shooting and Metal Gear Solid. The level designs allow you to use stealth a lot or to sneak through hidden passages to get past guards if you wish, but you can still shoot through bad guys.
I've watched 2 of it's endings and they use real life images to show beautiful and shocking things and both endings have interesting philosophical messages.Deus Ex may not be my game of the year but it's definately one of the best games of this year and even perhaps one of the best games from this gen.
I've bought Kingdom of Paradise and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It is an action RPG developed by Climax(a Japanese developer who developed some of the Shining Force games). It has breath taking landscape, beautiful waterfalls, traditional villages and uses influence from Asian culture, especially Chinese and Japanese cultures. From what I've seen of it's battle sysstem it looks fast paced and smooth. It has cute/pretty female characters who dress in traditional Asian styl e clothing(which I like). The game cost me 12 bucks(which is cheap for where I live)and it's PSP exclusive and scored an 8.0 from Gamespot which is good considering Gamespot often score good JRPGs lower than an 8.0

5 centermeteres per Second is a very heartfelt anime movie. It shows 3 different periods of the life of the main character named Takaki Tono.
It begins when Takaki is a young boy and he has a childhood friend named Akari who he has feelings for but she moved away but they stay in contact by writing letters and Takaki goes to meet her in person so he can tell her how he feels by giving her a letter but he loses the letter but they both spend a night together(because they was a snowstorm outside and they were stranded and took shelter in a shed at the train station)and they share a kiss together but after they part they lose contact with eachother over the years.
The second chapter of the story shows when Takaki is in highschool and he's close friends with a cute girl named Kanae Sumida.Sumida is in love with Takaki and but Takaki still thinks about and is still looking for Akari and I won't give away any more story info for the second stage.
The third chapter of the story is when Takaki is a man and works Tokyo(keep in mind he lived in a rural area when he was young so it's a change of scenery). And I won't spoil the rest.
5 cm per second is written, produced directed by Makoto Shinkai and has won Asian awards and was the 4th biggest selling bluray title in Japan in 2008.It's artwork is beautiful,I love the way the rural environments look and it even shows you the seaside and even the way the hectic snowstorm is shown is quite artistic. And you will see the typical, beautiful cherry blossom tree that's common with a lot of Japanese media. And I like how 5 cm per second takes you to Tokyo with all the giant buildings and how you get to see Takaki and Akari when they're kids, when Takaki is a teenager and when they're both adults. There's other things in the story that make it very emotionally felt but I won't spoil them for you.

I'm nearly finished the story quests for my first visit to Hengsha in Deus Ex HR and I've been doing some of the sidequests.I really like the Asian flavor in Deus Ex HR.I like how the quests in Deus Ex HR don't always involve killing someone or a fetchquest. For example,in Deus Ex HR there's a quest where you have to kill someone but make it look like the person you killed accidently fell to their death so you'll need to knock the person out(you can't shoot or drug them)and you'll need to drop the person off the ledge of a building. There's quests that involve hacking computers and there's a sidequest where you'll need to rescue a prostitute who's being held captive and the dialogue for that sidequest and story behind made me feel emotionally driven enough to want to help her, where as other WRPGs have never made me feel any emotional attachment to any of their quests.
The gameplay hasn't felt boring yet because there's enough stealth elements to stop it feeling like another covershooter and I like how ammo isn't plentiful like with most TPS/FPS games so you'll need to take advantage of stealth and using the take down ability.
The main story so far has been meh,but Adam Jensen is a cool character and the sidequests in Hengsha had emotional sidestories.

I'm looking forward to 2012 because the only upcoming game from 2011 that I'm interested in is Zelda Skyward Sword.Where as in 2012,The Last Guardian,The Last Story,Final Fantasy XIII-2 are due out.
I still need to finish watching the Freezing anime series. After that I will watch 5 centermeters per second which is an award-winning anime movie. It's artstyl e looks incredibly beautiful.
