So Gamespot has finally released a review for New Super Mario Bros U, and to me it's a pretty big surprise. Rating is higher than I was expecting it to be, but much more importantly, the review itself was a lot more positive than I was expecting. Heck, they didn't even have one negative point selected at the beginning of their review. Only positive points, which is incredibly rare for a Gamespot review, as far as I know. And the Video review has some content of the later half of the game that looked really awesome. Jeez, I really can't wait much longer now, the game is looking so good. Though here's a warning, if you decide to watch the Video review please know that there are some spoilers in it!

It's been getting good scores right across then board. It's a bit worrying when you see that Nintendo are launching a new Nintendo with a minigame compilation and a Mario platformer but as long as they are still getting it right then I should just go with it. Well done Nintendo.

since I'm not getting the Wii U, I can't bring myself to get interested in the reviews...

Yeah the WiiU is having a fairly decent launch and while some are tiring of the 2D Marios, it does appear that this new installment found a way to keep things fresh.  Mostly I just adore the fact there's a level inspired by Van Gogh's starry Night painting.

Doesn't surprise me, I'm not wanting a Wii U right now none of the launch titles sound the least bit thrilling to me.

That and Nintendo Land also got a surprisingly good review.  I honestly expected Nintendo Land to get a lower score, but I'm pleasantly surprised.

It's almost as shocking as Epic Mickey 2 getting a 5.0.

@Asagea_888Didn't read that review yet, though I watched IGN's video review for Epic Mickey 2, which gave the game a 6, and it really seems like it still carries the same unnecessary flaws it's predecessor has. I was kinda fearing that, though.

I'll be the first to admit that I was able to look over the first Epic Mickey's flaws and had an enjoyable time but it is a bit disappointing they didn't fix the twitchy camera and after playing the demo the AI controlled Oswald is going to be the biggest pain of the game.

I was also surprised. Makes me want a Wii U even more.
