It's funny how sometimes you get the urge to write something even if you don't really know what to! The title doesn't really mean anything by the way! This has nothing to do with the developing world, or the ps4 for that matter. Just something i wanted to get out there.
I got my ps3 in 2010 and have gone through a lot of games since then. I was a gamer before too but the amount of games i have gone through in the past 2 yrs blow the rest of those years away. The proverbial glitches i experienced due to lack of hardware knowledge on my pc and the frustration of non-availability of high end stuff (I was the first one in my town to get a graphic card for my pc in 2007 for no one lives forever 2) restricted me bad.
Now of course it's all good. Largely though. There has been a huge distribution of console games for past 5 yrs (not counting the days of absolute piracy) and online stores galore. Money was never an issue so i could buy all the games i wanted. There isn't much of a used games market since gamers are still a rarity in my place (excluding the counterstrike and angry birds group) but that's not really an issue for me. Console games are a luxury item since they are all imported but for gamers who want it get it! Anyway going by the exchange rate they are sometimes cheaper here like 55$ or 57$ somewhat and prices drop really fast if you wait a while. There are tons of games to play any way.
I am an offline gamer though sometimes i wonder if that's by choice or compulsion. DLC is the trend these days and not being to able to access even free stuff like ps3 exclusive missions in Assassin's creed games often disappoints me. That is perhaps my own fault though but with scarce wi-fi providers and data caps of 10 gb, inconsistent connectivity issues i m not sure it is. I don't think i will never get into playing online but not being able to get stuff i want even though i have the money to pay for it blows!! I was ready to buy arkham city on launch day but i would have felt cheated çause i would not have been able to access catwoman even after paying full price!( But still geat decision to wait for GOTY edition çause it was a sweet deal). Even though things should change a lot in the next two years until i decide to buy a ps4 ,it's focus on online sharing stuff kind of bums me out a little.
So that's about it. Like i said nothing to do with the title
P.S. This blog is not meant to hurt the sentiments of gamers of developing countries or troll the ps4. It's just expressing a personal viewpoint.
