EDGE Top 100 - almost there
I have no idea why you, the reader, would wander onto my blog, but in the unlikely case you did just that: this is not a very interesting blog post!
Even worse, this post is rather a reminder for myself on which games I still have to find to complete my collection of the Top 100 Games of All Time of EDGE magazine. You can find that list here (http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/edges-top-100-games-of-all-time) if you're interested.
The ones that I'm still missing are these:
98. Sensible Soccer (original version)
83. Nights into dreams
80. Virtua Tennis 3 (still a bit too expensive)
73. Puzzle Bobble
70. Ridge Racers 2 (PSP)
60. Pac-Man Vs.
54. Chrono Trigger (really expensive boxed)
46. Quake III Arena (an official version)
43. Bomberman (first one)
38. Virtua Fighter 5 (waiting for it to go down in price)
37. StarCraft (still looking for big box pc)
33. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (money money money..)
31. Katamari Damacy (hard to find)
26. Advance Wars (GBA)
16. Street Fighter Anniversary (almost..)
Let me know if you want to donate any of those to me.
I would be grateful!

I finally got Metal Gear Solid 3
It took me some time to find a second-hand version of MGS3 but thanks to e-bay I finally received the game in the mail today. Together with MGS2 (the Xbox-version) and two copies of MGS (because the first e-bay dude ripped me off since one disc was missing) I can now, at last, experience what so many PS2-fanboys are going out of their mind for.
I'm curious to say the least!
PS: I also ordered 3 anime DVD's from amazon.com, really exciting and I'm looking forward to receiving them here in Belgium. Let's hope it doesn't take too much time to ship 'm. It really sucks though that we can't buy them locallly, and need to ship them from abroad, coping with the region being wrong and stuff. But hey, maybe that's also what's making them so cool ! -

Today is Halo day for Belgium
At last, all those US guys have been playing the game for hours in the mean time but here in Europe (and Belgium) HALO 2 was only released today. However, I must say that it wasn't such a hype like it was overseas. Okay, everybody is talking about it but I don't think anybody got up in the middle of the night to pick up the game a bit earlier... And for me, that's quite ok since I must admit that although Halo was a good game, it wasn't the best shooter ever.. at all. Halo 2 will not be the best shooter ever at all either, therefore I find it rather regrettable that the hyping of this sequel really worked and that gamers and journalists alike (especially those of the mainstream media) consider this release as the most important game in gaming history.. Not! But let's get things straight: despite the hype, it will be a good game and I'm sure I'll get my part of fun out of it.
Since I'm working (to be able to pay for all those games) I asked my girl friend to get a copy today so when I come home tonight I can jump in and start playing. It does scare me that I've been reading some negative comments about the MP of Halo2. Since I made an investment of about 150 euro to get me a wireless LAN and a gamecard to connect my Xbox and GC to it, it would be a shame if Halo2 doesn't deliver what it promised. U should know I'm a real FPS gamer on the PC (especially on HL and Battlefield) and at last it seemed a console FPS could offer about the same fun and possibilities a PC shooter can. Okay, I could go on about the max. of 16 players and the whole keyboard-mouse vs. controller issue but this is not the place and time.
So, just to conclude, I really hope Halo2 rocks in MP so that my 3 mates and me can kick some serious alien ass (including yours) in our newborn Halo-clan. If you wanna challenge us, be sure to be looking for the LRRP tag or my Xbox Live nickname: 'b00n'.
