Since when was Spyro a challenge?

So I invested in Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon for PS3, it had been on the 'To Do' list but I'd just never got around to it. When I remember Spyro games when I was younger, they were fun and engaging with relatively easy game play. However, I realised that this game had become more challenging and not like the Spyro I remember. Maybe they intended for harder game play due to their target audience had aged?
I cannot echo enough the frustration at the camera controls on games such as Spyro and Tomb Raider, and apparently this has been a tedious issue for many players but the makers have just chose to ignore this.
What happened to good old fashioned game? I bought this intending to achieve an easy game requiring little concentration; I simply bought it for past memories and fun. The competition in the game market seems to all be following a mainstream type of game now involving combat and lengthy quests, well, think I will stick to LittleBigPlanet for now.

The Sims Medieval - Worth The Wait?

So I pre-ordered The Sims Medieval back in January and thought it would be the best game ever. First to annoy me, play.com were late delivering it, alas, when my game arrived, I was ecstatic. I imagined a cross between Age of Empires and The Sims 3, and with my love of middle age times, I thought this would be the ultimate gaming experience. Well of course, it wasn't, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this, I'd probably still be on it.
So when the game doesn't crash, (would love to know if this is a problem for many users?) quests become repetitive and after completing one kingdom, I feel like I am just doing it all over again...with a few extra quests. The game can be good, the first few times around. I've figured that if I give a couple of months between each time I play, I should still be happy.
All in all, I think they should have just made it an expansion pack for The Sims 3 (which graphics blow my mind after the Sims Medieval) and the choice of which periodic age to start in.
