My Game of the Year 2009

End of 2009 is a upon us, what will 2010 be like for everyone? I just hope that 2010 had better be worth it mostly because I want to get a job at least. But then again there's a few other things to look foward to for 2010 at least.

My Game of the Year for the past few years were-

    2006- Kingdom Hearts II

    2007- Okami (UK/Europe Release)

2008- The World Ends With You

So what was my Game of th Year for 2009?-

1- Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Suit

    WTF?!?

    I'm just kidding it's actully-

    1- Uncharted 2:

Since Metal Gear Solid 4 was released there hasn't been a really good Next-Gen Action Adventure until Uncharted 2 which was just released back in October. I loved the first Uncharted and the story does pick off where it let off. Fans of the series have been wondering what treasure will Drake find next?

    • First it was El Dorado,
    • Then it was finding Shamballa
    • Where will it be next?

My favourite part in Uncharted 2 was fighting your way through enemies on a moving Train. There were alot of other memorable moments in Uncharted 2. You can also read my review on Uncharted 2 as well.

Best and Worst of 2009 Part 2

From where we left off, here's part 2 of my Best and Worst of 2009-

July: Still no job, what is this world coming to?, My 20th Birthday but nothing new.

    Sir Bobby Robson Funral 4

Sir Bobby Robson (Newcastle UnitedMaganer and The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation- 1933-2009

I did got to St James Park to pay my respect, and yes there was alot of Football shirts everywhere.

August: My 60GB crashed and caught the Yellow-Light of Death, and my copy of Valkyria Chronicles stuck in too

    Death Note: L

    DSC00087-2.jpg picture by BenLeslie5

Had a fun month as well because in Newcastle there was a Death Note Manga on the Saturday and then a Naruto Manga Event 2 weeks after. Yes I did draw these because there was an Art competition as well.

September: Probably one of my saddest months I've had this year. Because my Grandmother wasn't feeling well she just turn 79 before she passed away at the end of September We buried her ashes a few weeks later.

But I had friends who helped me get me back on my feet at least and plus that Drama course I did back around March and June was back on again. Plus I would have to thank everyone here on Gamespot as well.

    Tokyo GameShow 2009

October: Went to see Green Day down at Shieffiled with my sister, it rocked!, almost passed out near the end of the show because the Arena was like an Oven.

    File:Terra's Darkness.png

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and the the TGS trailer for Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep wonering how the story will end for the 3 Heroes Terra, Aqua and Ven.

Halloween myfavourite theme but I don't go out Trick or Treating that much.

November: Still no job over the past months, I've applied for a few jobs but no reply back. I did get help from the Job Centre but I still did alot of Voluntry work for Oxfam.

There isn't much to talk about for November.

December: It's already December and it's gone to quick!? I did not see that coming?!? Christmas just came and went for me.

My Grandad was still abit upset because every year I always had Christmas dinner down at my Grandparents but I had it at home instead. I didn't mention this on my last blogs, my sister had her Nintendo Wii downstairs and almost everyone in my family were using it which was surprising because me and my sister would spend hours on Gaming, played Wii Bowling and Wii Golf for hours on Christmas day.

My Drama performance was a success as well.Based on a Chritmas Carol. But We called it Miser Rock (As refered to Scrooge)set around our time 2008-2009 during the Credit Crunch, he takes alway everything from other businesses and familys. But one days he takes away his own family's home andpersonal belongings and making them live on the streets. But Miser Rocks finds out that he gets fired froman email from the Queena and loses his business to his employees. So Miser Rock hits Rock Bottom and these 4 random ghosts try and help him redeem himslef with abit of Y.M.C.A. In the end Miser Rock turns to his family and returns the key to his Brother to his home and has a wonderful Christmas.

The roles I had to play was a Banker and a Ghost. Overall the performance was a success with many laughs and turns.

Now for my Top 5 games of 2009-

    5- Batman Arkham Asylum

"Quick to the IdiotMobile"- Na Na Na Batman. Sorry got the Theme tune stuck in my head. I havn't played a good action game since Metal Gear Solid (PS1), because Arkham Asylum had a few moments that reminded of MGsS 1. Halfway through Batman Arkham Ayslum your TV goes blank just like on MGS 1 but your captured by the Joker and get shot.

    4- Killzone 2

The game that stoled my hours for addictive Multiplayer. Like Call of Duty 4 the story was short but the Online Multiplayer is fun and addicitve. So much has changed since the E3 demo back in 2005 but it also had some of the best graphics for a First-Person shooter.

    3- Dissidia Final Fantasy

Always knew that one day there would be a fighing game based on Final Fantasy charcters sooner or later. Looks like alot of people were right. No matter how many times you've beat him Sephiroth will just keep coming back for more. Dissidia also had some of the most memorable Heroes and Villians in the series including music.

    2- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

"Xion, Who esle will I have IceCream with?"- Roxas, "Got it Memorized"-Axel. I've spent over 358 Days fighting Hearltess and eating Ice Cream. But expect I've beaten 358/2 Days under week. Most of the graphics reminded of some of the graphics look like somthing out of the PS1 close to Final Fantasy IX if you think about it, on graphics wise but no the standard PS2 cutscenes. I liked the story as well it explained a few things what happend between KH COM and KH2, and what Roxas was doing while he was in the Organixation.

Most of the Missions in 358/2 Days were also fun and addicitve, you can also play as your favourite Organization XIII charcters including Axel, Xemnas, and Marluxia. I really want one of those Organization XIII Moogles

So whats my Game of the Year for 2009? Sorry you'll have to wait until my blog.
