First off my review on Lego Lord of the Rings (PS3) is up so feel free to check out my review- http://uk.gamespot.com/lego-the-lord-of-the-rings/user-reviews/805254/platform/ps3/
Thought I'd post my Top 10 Favourite Games for 2012 here is my list from 10-6

10- THEATRHYTHM Final Fantasy (3DS)
You can already tell how much I love Final Fantasy and of course a FF related game being mentioned on my list almost every year. This version on the 3DS however is a spin-off title to the series and its more of a Music Rhythm game then an RPG game, it has the same battle system idea but hearing the soundtrack is the best part about the whole series.

9- Angry Birds Space (Mobile Phones)
I wasn't a huge fan of the first Angry Birds game to begin with but I really enjoyed Angry Birds Space a lot more. It felt more of a sequel and had a lot of cool ideas to begin with set in space instead of having different themes or settings which the series has been doing as of this moment. When Angry Birds Star Wars was released you could tell stright away that it was borrowing half the ideas Space had to begin with.

8- Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3/360/PC)
I was quite annoyed half the time with its DLC content but thats always been a problem with Capcom half the time when it comes to DLC for games like these. I do love the idea of Street Fighter Fighter charcters fighting Tekken charcters which does remind me of that Japanese PS2 game Namco X Capcom (PS2) which was released a few years ago but had the same idea but based on an RPG game. Street Fighter X Tekken had a great line up of charcters from both sides even charcters like Mega Man and Pac Man made an appearance, if there's going to be more cross-over games please let there be a BlazBlue VS King of Fighters

7- Lego The Lord of the Rings
At first I would have thought it wasn't going be that great with it having voice acting in a Lego game but I was complety wrong and it turned out to be a really good game. I've loved the movies and still have not seen The Hobbit yet, but I was right about one thing back in 2006 after playing Lego Star Wars I kept thinking in the future there would be a Lego version of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings lined up. Looks like I was right on that one lets just hope they don't make a Lego Twilight next

6- Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (3DS)
I finally got aroud to playing Pandora's Box, Lost Future and Spectres Call around this year on my 3DS and finally got update to date with the series. Not only that I've actully cosplayed as Professor Layton quite a few times for Anime events and even picked up Miracle Mask on day of release. I'm still solving puzzles when I'm out and about with my friends or even when I'm in Newcastle and its Daily Download puzzles will keep making me come back for some more Professor Layton.
Hope you've enjoyed my first half of my blog, the second half will be posted up by tomorrow.
