    Thanks a lot champ..

Over the past few weeks, i've been in hunts of a brand new PC. I've looked at major stores like Best Buy, Walmart, and so on and I found nothing. So I decided to check the net and saw places like ibuypower. Though those online stores are great, the shipping was murder, and so decided to just buy the parts from newegg.com and put the computer together myself! The thing was, at the time, I really didn't know how to choose right things.

So I posted at Gamespot and got some good advice. At least that's what I thought..

My post asked what to look for in getting computer parts and what could I get under 700 bucks. A poster then named "PunishedOne" answers my call and shows me a motherboard, graphics card and everything else. Well I follow his advice, and within 5 days, all my stuff is knockin at my door. Pretty cool right? WRONG! The guy had no idea what he was talking about. Not only was the motherboard he proposed, supposedly not a good motherboard, (Socket 754) the guy told me about a graphics card that WASN'T EVEN CAPATIBLE WITH IT. Let me get this straight.. You can tell me which card is the "ub3r c00l3st!" and not to get a 2800+ processor, and yet you couldn't even tell me that the card will even fit in the motherboard?

It just shows how some people don't get it these days. Everyone is totally bent out of shape over looks of games and everything, and don't even know what's important. It's rediculous. It's like "If you can't run Half Life 2 at 50 frames per second with all the graphic settings turned up, then your graphic card sucks." SERIOUSLY. I see posts all the time, hell I even made some of them. Here's an example of what I mean.

Say I am getting sick and tired of running World of Warcraft on my Intel Extreme Graphics card (semi true) and was looking at 2 newer cards. Say one was a Geforce 5700 and one was a Radeon x300. Both let's say being $120. I can bet out of 10 "hardcore PC gamers" I ask, 7 or 8 of them will say " They are both not really good cards, get a x600 or a 6600GT." (Which by the way can range 180-250 bucks) How about this guys.. "Try playing your games on an Intel Extreme graphics card. You'll be happy with a Geforce 4! It's either people honestly have too much money to throw around, their parents buy their crap, or they are just ignorant.

I mean even with console games like Forza vs Gran Turismo 4 duels that occur. If you say that one of those games have weak graphics, then you need to sell your games to a hobo on the corner of 12th and Main street. Because he deserves it more than you!

Well thanks to PunishedOne I did learn a lot. I learned what to look for, and what not to look for. But it's a shame he couldn't do that himself before giving me advice. Thanks a lot champ..
