Having heard postive feedback regarding it as a downloadable episodic title I thought I would give it a look myself and here are my thoughts on the first episode of The Walking Dead.

What I really liked were most of the characters in the game it felt like you really cared for them and you were given some difficult questions to answer as well. What I also liked was how it looked as a downloadable title. My god the presentation is very good as well. I also liked the atmosphere and also you didn't have firearms that you had to basicaly use certain tools to defeat the monsters in the game. It felt like it had a bit of stealth so they couldn't see you and you also had to make a really tough decision at the end of the episode between saving 2 people. I also liked the stats at the end of the chapter showing you what other people did who play this game. Plus the little teaser at the end was like a good build up and wanting you to see what happens next.

I might do an Episode by Episode update of this game because I am really liking it and I just bought Episode 2 off the Playstation Store but haven't started it yet.

I just got into The Walking Dead too on the XBOX Live Arcade. I have only played Episode 1 and I loved it. I bought Episode 2 some weeks ago immediately after completing Episode 1, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Hopefully tonight because I loved it.

I had no idea what kind of game The Walking Dead was. All the trailers looked like cutscenes. I was like, is this a point and click, a first person shooter, a third person shooter, just a quick time event game? I was so confused. But I like how it plays. I did not want a shooter and this isn't it at all. I love it.

I have no idea why this game works with the public though. They seem to shun quick time events now, even though God of War still heavily relies on it, but with this game, it kind of sneaks it in in a way where people are okay with it. I love quick time events and I love how it is implemented in this game. I love the menu system and how everything you do is done through the very intuitive in game menu options. Somehow you still don't feel limited at all.

It's all really weird. Especially since the majority of gamers/hardcore gamers would consider something like this not a real game or casual but yeah. It's good.

Episode 2 is the best bit of the series.
