Tomb Raider is the reboot as you can say and I shall be honest and say that I have been looking forward to this for a very long time and so far it hasn't dissapointed.

The game takes you to before Lara Croft became the world known treasure hunter she is and is seperated from her collegues after falling off when the ship falls apart. She is left battered and bruised and fighting for her life.

Whilst some will say the gameplay is to similar to Uncharted then maybe we could say that game was pretty much similar to Tomb Raider like finding trasures, puzzles and taking out enemies and climbing. I feel though the shooting and the camera in the old games like Underworld and Legend were a bit annoying at times and the shooting sucked as well but that has been sorted out now.

What I really love about the game so far is picking up tools as you progress because you had equipment with you at the start but hear you gain certain weapons and items for helping you progress. Also you get currency called Salvage which let's you upgrade your weapons and taking down enemies rewards you with experience which you can spend on various skills througout the game. Another thing is if you press the L2 trigger it does like a similar sort of thing to Assassins Creed 2 where it can show you certain things like enemies better by the red glow on them and that really helps in dark places.

What makes it really stand out is it's design the way Lara is actually physical adds to the game and it shows that she is really having a hard time being alone. It has things also that you find like artifacts and also various treasures. What I like about Tomb Raider unlike Uncharted is Lara is hardly accompanied by anyone I mean when your playing with Drake I love it when he's alone but majority of the time he isn't. I aren't saying Drake couldn't handle the whole adventure by himself I am just saying I just want Drake to be on his own more whereas Lara has mostly well from what I have seen in this game having to fight off enemies together.

Are there any things I don't like wll I have stumped across certain button prompts and to be honest I haven't really had a puzzle that's had me scratching my head. I haven't played the multiplayer yet but from what I have heard from critics it wasn't needed and to be honest I agree. I perfer my single player games.

Overall at the moment the reboot of Tomb Raider is excellent and I can't wait to experience more.

I am also enjoying the game, haven't tried multi either yet, but I agree that if the singleplayer is good multi isn't needed.

I am excited for this game, but I haven't picked it up yet. I need something to do this weekend for a few hours...

Ugh don't even bring up Sonic 06, that game was too terrible for words. I'm about 1.5-2 hours into the new Tomb Raider and I'm really enjoying it. For whatever reason there is an expected blizzard tonight/tomorrow and college has already been cancelled. I'm betting we'll get little to no snow but regardless, they already cancelled so I've have more time to raid tombs tomorrow ;)

Nice to see her reboot is good.  I know sometimes a series reboot doesn't always go so well. *coughcough Sonic 06*

Well this isn't the first "REBOOT" Lara has had and the others didn't really go that good either.

Although I will say LEGENDS was decent and when it came out, everyone was saying how Lara was back to form, but it seems now that this game has come out people are now disregarding LEGENDS.

Shame. While not as bombastic and thematic as this new Tomb Raider, it was still a decent restart to Lara and more in line with the traditional Tomb Raider games and could have kept going to spin out a lot more good games in the same vein.
