    Music Store Trials.

    Hey there people,

For awhile now I have been looking for a new guitar...and I wish I could go all the way and get some of the models I'd like to but I am on a budget..atleast at this point and time. I have been looking for a versatile guitar..mainly a shredder with a good clean for all of the clean stuff I do...not a hollow body type of sound of course, otherwise I'd be forking out thousands..just mainly a shredder with a good, jazzy sound on the clean channel.

My dad was willing to help me pay for one so we decided to go to a local music store that was having a two day sale on their guitars..some of them you got extreme deals on, others you got totally ripped off. But while we were looking I of course plugged in all of the Gibsons. Plugged in a '76 Explorer and an SG special, both played great through the meh Marshall amp..I was actually more impressed with the Explorer then the SG and I am usually an SG kind of guy through and through.

But I also had kind of a scare when I was there. Literally seconds after I got up and put back the SG I was playing, an employee accidentally fell and with him came tumbling down a few amp speakers and heads...in the same exact place I was sitting. I could've gotten seriously hurt...it was really hard to say but that amp seaker was huge and those heads were heavy..so I could've probably walked out of there with any guitar (or guitars) I wanted so I didn't sue them Part of me is bummed that I didnt take a little pain for Grade A instruments and the other part of me is glad it didn't happen..in the end I am glad it didn't..I could've suffered serious head injuries.

I wanted to convince my dad to go halves with me on an ESP at musiciansfriend..one that basically had everything I wanted and needed in a guitar but he wasn't really down with that unfortunately I'll just have to fork out my own money when I have it to get the internet ones. But I ended up finding a Schecter V marked down a good deal due to their sale. I was a little hesitant on it because it was so inexpensive. But I plugged it in and it sounded pretty awesome, the EMG's had a great clean and the distortion was pretty stellar...but what do you expect from EMG pickups? I still have to make payments on it so it isn't rightly in my posession yet but it is still pretty solid from what I previewed..very fast but the neck is a little thick...and V's are awkward to hold..Im just really hoping I don't regret getting a hold of it..they had a freaking ESP viper up there for 700! Wish I could've gotten a hold of that..the freaking VIper is a sick guitar and the gold hardware was a beautiful touch.

So other then almsot getting crushed by equipmet it wasn't a bad trip Again I just hope i don't regret the Damien V purchase..but it is Schecter so where can you go wrong? It is also kind of cool to own another V after having to unfortunately sell one I had a lot of years ago.

    The Best V player...period.

    Fire!! And Acceptance..

Had a fun day yesterday....even more fun today lol.

I am usually the type of person to get up rather early to practice or read or take careof thing searly on so they aren't dwelling on me the rest of the day. Well yesterday morning I was feeling a little lazy and felt like sleeping until about...7:00 AM which is late for me beleive it or not (I'm an early bird). However, my hopes of sleeping in were dashed when I was woken up by my sister at about 6:00 to tell me that there was heavy amounts of smoke coming from our basement and we all had to get out of the house. I threw on a pair of pants and a jacket as quickly as I could and rushed outside to meet the rest of my family. Less then a minute later (surprisingly) about three firetrucks show up and they rush inside. Turns out that our washing machine had a loose belt inside it that caught on fire and the damage was minimal which is good because we have a lot of cats and would lsoe a lot during a serious fire.

So we have to get a new washing machine. The good thing is that it is coming tomorrow (Had to put out about $540 for it, on credit of course) but the bad thing is that laundry has been piling up...hasn't been odne in a litle while and I am running out of pants and whatnot lol but thankfully that will all end tomorrow..or so I hope.

And in exciting news (for me anyways) I got accepted into the university I plan on attending. I am still getting scolded by a few people for waiting so long to go to school...but they don't udnerstand what was going on my senior year and I just got caught up in other things this past year..no shame in going to school at 22 (which I will be next year). I am excited though, I really don't have to pay much for it since I am handicapped and because of that, get a lot of benefits from the state and from the OVR (office of vocational rehabilitation). I met with a computer tech as well ths week (who is completely blind but a very cool guy) and I guess if thigns go according to plan, I'll be recieving two laptops (one for class and a stationary one for my dorm) that will be equipped with all of the tools I need to read the books and use specific programs it is all fun stuff just very, very stressful on me.

I also really like the last.fm addition on Xbox live..I just wish you could game while listening..but I turned on a Frank Zappa radio satation while studying chord theory and man, I was having a blast doing that..music + studying music + Lulu= awesome times for me.

I have been addicted to Mors Principium Est lately...so I end this blog with them. Take care everyone.

    I Have Returned!

Well it has been slightlyunder a month since I left....I see not a lot has changed here lol.

Things picked up for me a little but not by much. I made a return because I figure if I didn't do it anytime soon I never would. I am not particularalyl nuts about gamespot but it is a place with good friends and a palce where I can share designs and whatnot so I will stick it out here. How have you all been? Hopefully not too much has gone downhill in the past month.

Halloween went pretty well as usual. I was surprised I still dressed up but I love the holiday, did a whole glam metal thing which turned out pretty well.

Last week one of my cats died, we had him for about four years Died of some sort of seizure..none of us were around when he passed but he was found..we all cried of course because he was a great cat and my cats are like family to me. I miss him but am done being terribly depressed about it. Was a great cat nonetheless...may he rest n peace .

Still getting ready to go to school and all of that fun stuff...always a hassle of course, since I have a dsiability I have a lot more to plan for...fun, fun..but worth it nonetheless.

I don't really feel motivated to get into what has been going on in my life...maybe will post it in another upcoming blog (if anyone is still reading these of course).

I have been involved even deeper in my music playing..focusing a lot on acoustic guitar slapping (which is advanced tapping, basically) and it actually sounds pretty cool. I am no Erik Mongrain but if I keep practicing it I will get better. I am always evolving as a player but I still don't consider myself much good lol...still playing is what keeps me alive so that is why I still do it heavily.

I will end this blog with Air tap...and I'll be sure to write more soon.
