CoD 5

Well, CoD5 is being made by Treyarch...

My chances of buying CoD5 just went from 99% to 0.05%.

THIS SUCKS!

A New Year!

Yes im late but whatever.

I just got my beta key to the Battlefield: Bad Company closed beta and I cant wait to get in a game and blow stuff up. 27 hours is way to long for me, I cant even sleep!

Any way, I was tired of seeing that out dated post so this one should suffice for another 6 months or so, so see ya then!

360 is down for the count...

Well, I went to play Guitar Hero 2 this morning, only to have it crap out on me.

I'm not sure really what went wrong. After signing on XBL it asked me to update my 360, so I let it do its thing. After the console started to reboot. 3 red lights. After letting it sit for 10 minutes I powered it up, yay it works but I did not have the HDD plugged in. So turned it off plugged in the HDD and powered it on. 3 red lights. I was able to get an error code of "0020" by holding the SYNC button in and hitting disk eject. "0020" has no official meaning, but according to some sites it may be overheating. So at the moment I'm letting my 360 cool down under an air vent, if it works I can jam, if not I will try the "Towel" technique that I posted below.

Please note that all of this started after the update that Microsoft released that was "supposed" to make the 360 compatible with the Guitar Hero IIIs wireless controller.

Wish me luck

360 3 Red Lights CURE FOUND

Note: I DID NOT make this tutorial and I HAVE NOT tried it. I am only reposting and IT HAS worked for other people.

For an Xbox 360 owner, seeing red rings on the face of the console is more terrifying than facing down the Covenant with almost no ammo and low armor or freeing Pacific City from the grasp of crime with only a level one agent.

Usually red rings mean at least a week of no gaming while you ship your box back to Microsoft, but some big thinker has come up with a new and unique way to save your box from an untimely death utilizing nothing more than two common, ordinary towels.

1. Detach your hard drive, disconnect your controllers and place the console on a flat surface.

2. Rest your Xbox 360 on a towel and then place a second towel over it. Make sure that every side is completely covered with the towels.

3. From the outside of the towels, turn on your console and leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes before turning it off.

4. Wait fifteen minutes and turn your console back on. It should now run just fine.

This really speaks to the ingenuity of mankind. Now, if we could only stop blowing each other up (outside of the Halo 3 beta) we'd be living in paradise.

Steam

Well, I just got the steam '06 holiday pack. For those of you who have no idea what that means, I just bought: Counter-strike source, half-life 2, half-life 2 deathmatch, half-life, half-life deathmatch, half-life 2 lost coast, and half-life 2 episode one for $50.

It is good stuff! I also got a copy of "Garry's Mod"; it is a sandbox mod for all steam games. My XFIRE is: "cyberxwarrior" if you want to play.

Now if you will exuse me, I am going to strap a rocket booster to a bathtub

High Def Goodness

I had to find something to blow my $15 Best Buy gift card on, so I traveled to Best Buy. Sitting on the bottom shelf I found an open box Microsoft VGA adapter for the 360. It was marked down from $39.99 to only $19.99. So I bought it and hooked it up to one of the old computer monitors I had laying around. I set it up to run at a resolution of 1280x1280 or something like that, and now I am enjoying Oblivion and Lost Planet like they are meant to be played.

Question of the day: Would 1280x1280 be considered 1080i, 780p, or something completely different?
