  I've turned to the dark side

  ive turned to the dark side....ive bought an xbox 360

  

  i decided to get myself a 360 so i could get ninja gaiden 2...which i still dont have since its been all mgs4 the last week. anyway i got it and had a quick go of prey and the ninja gaiden 2 demo and i must say im very dissappointed with it. from what i hear the fanboys saying i was really expecting some sort of super machine but its far from it.

  the menu isnt complicated but its just not layed out as easily as things are on xmb. the control pad is nice to hold though, i always though they had huge pads but they are fairly handy. anyway i stuck on prey and the jet engine started up. compared to the ps3 this thing is unbelieveibly loud, i bought the elite because i thought it was more quiet than the others but i was wrong. prey was a piece of crap but its old so ill forget about it.

  the xbox market place is great it puts shame to the playstation store. there is 100's of demos for all games out which was great i downloaded a good few demos there. while ninja gaiden was downloading i got to work on filling the 120gb hdd then i came across a snag...the piece of crap cant copy music and videos from an external hdd or data disc. if i want music i got to rip it from all of my cds and if i want videos i gotta buy them off the store..this is an complete joke. i have to rip over 1000 songs from cds that only have about 15 songs. i had my full music collection copied to my ps3 in a few mins.

  anyway i got over it and ripped 2 cds onto it and it took friggen ages there is not a hope in hell im gonna go and rip 1k tracks onto this. anyway started up the ninja gaiden 2 demo and i was able to listen to my music in game which was pretty cool unlike the ps3. anyway i started the game up and i really couldnt see a difference in the graphics from the ps3 version. this was supposed to be the best the 360 has got graphicly and all that but it really wasnt that great at all. the fighting was far far better though i loved chopping people in 2 and chopping all their limbs off.

  so at the moment i feel i have wasted a lot of money buying a console that really doesnt offer anything better than what the ps3 has. i can play music in game but getting the music the the hdd is a serious task. it has good exclusives but (at leased ninja gaiden 2) isnt as good as all the 360 fanboys make it out to be. i guess i cant really compare the 2 systems yet as i have 19ps3 games and 1 360 game but first impressions of it were bad for me

  Why dont i like GTA 4?

  yet another boring sunday and i have nothing to do. i beat heavenly sword yesterday so i wont be playing it all over again for another week or so. ive got gta4 and i have only beat 30% of it but i just dont wanna play it.

  ive played every gta game on the playstation and i have loved them all and have spent weeks after getting it playing the game non stop but not with gta4. i just dont seem to like the game and i dont know why. i think its because the game is so blurry it makes you feel like your playing in a small game. its funny but at the same time its got no real funny characters like all of the last gta games have had.

  ive spent most of the day playing pixeljunk monsters instead of gta which i have been looking forward to since it was first delayed last year. i dunno if its the game that isnt as good as the past games or have i gotten hard to impress since there are a couple of ps3 games that are so good that its hard for them to be beaten. i wouldnt go as far as saying pixeljunk monsters is better than gta but it is a lot more fun to play

  hopefully i will begin to like it because i want to like it and i have been forcing myself to play it but i just cant seem to get into it and its ruining the experience of playing the new game

  My Guitar Project

  well this is my last year in school and in construction studies (wood work or what ever else it can be called) we get to make whatever we like. so i decided to be a bit different, instead of building tables and chairs like everyone else in my class i decided to make an electric guitar.

  my reason for choosing an electric guitar was that it was easier but would still be a guitar at the end of the day. an acoustic guitar would requier the wood to be steamed and bent which takes a lot of time which i didnt have. so decided to make a guitar using hardwoods so the wood wouldnt chip and break easy and would look a lot nicer than softwoods.

  im using oak(white) and mahogany(brown) for it and the fretboard is rosewood. so far its takin well over 3 months to get what i have done so far. its takin ages since i can only do it in school and i have to do everything myself, this is my first time making a guitar or anything this hard so its hard and im taking my time to get it right because the deadline was the start of april and thats long gone. the teacher let me break the rules and bring the guitar home over the weekend to get as much work as possible done so i decided to take a few pictures for the report.

  as u can see i still have to cut out the body but other than that its pretty much done. ill have to wire up the pickups and of course put strings on which ill set up tomorow. so far im pretty happy with what i have done. the whole thing shape woods was a idea i didnt copy another guitar i saw i just took all the measurements from my fender strat at home.and if u look at the pictures you will see this guitar looks nothing like a strat. i know its a bit hard to see the shape of the body because its not vut out yet but this is it.

  well what do ye guys think of it? keep in mind im 17 and have never made anything this difficult before
