  Official World Number 1 Champion

  To any who read this,

  As of 12.03am on June 24 2008 I became apart of xbox live history.....sort of

  After 5 hours of Slugging away i have the top score on xbox live arcade game crystal quest. World number one xbox live crystal quest champion.

  Why? I have no idea what made me put myself through it, at first i played for boredom but slowly realised i could potentially play the game infinitly by alternating between sacrificing lives or bombs. And finally i had some spare time and decided to give it a shot.

  Now there are 2 ways to get a high score, buy the extreme pack which 10x increases your score, but is extremely difficult. Or take time and go through the motions. Well after 45 minutes of trying the quick way and falling short the 2nd option was the only way.

  548 waves later, which is over 215 levels more then the next closest person (who currently is 6th) and im top convincinlgy with a total score of 1,106,415,380 beating current record by 30 million points. That lucky bastard probably got his in 5 minutes .

  at the time i broke the record i had (and im not kidding) 256 lives left and 209 bombs left. And i could of gone longer but frankly i think ive done enough and i had to manually kill myself 256 times just to end the game to upload the score!

  i am not lying my score is there for anyone to see (and admire or shake there head in disgrace). Now im left with a few personal questions. Does it really mean anything? Is it as big as i make it out to be? yes its an average or slightly below average game that not many people play anymore but does that take away from my achievement? out of the approximaltely 400 xbox 360 and arcade games online i can proudly say i am world number 1 in one category of them.

  And on a personal note id like to thank 'slapshakle' who sent me a message halfway through just as i was about to quit he randomly popped in saying "good luck getting #1! F**k your good". Quite frankly i was at the point of his message about 300 million points away and had begun the process of killin my 100plus extra lives to upload my score to 4th or 5th spot until he sent that message. I never told him i was doing it he just saw my progress and helped me along and for that i say thanks!

  Oh my god!!!!

  Ok it is 7.51PM (in australia) on 3rd of May 2006 and I have done something i never hoenstly thought i could do in my life.

  I dont like to put myself as a real good player  but i have been playing games since i was 5 starting on the nes and there is barely any game i cant beat but still online im always 2nd or 3rd in any game never on top of the world....until now

  Geometry Wars.... getting to 1000000 points i truly thought never i would ever get there but if i did i would at least say to myself 'you do have some skill' well i just got the achievement and i am stoked!

  Before that i had gotten 964185 the day before but it wasnt recoreded because of the live update and i thought i was screwed well today i blew it out of the water 1,592,660 point game. just to be held currently in poisition 3281 in the top scores in the world in geometry wars is a huge accomplishment.

  Just had to get it out !

  wow the 360 is awesome

  ive never had so much fun so much with a console as much as this one the whole experience is a blast from gameplay to graphics to games to online to players online to marketplace content to arcade games to achievementsi can't get enough of it!

  usually i would log the happenings game wise and ill include updates 360 console wise as well.

  well ive bought a few arcade games and actually had a blast with gauntlet and 3 other players the other games hexic,crystal quest abnd geometry wars are also very fun. and im hooked on all the games the 360 console has to offer every game so far has been fun and im hooked on achievements with some games too to help me push that little bit further and get full value for dollar.

  well it took me a long time to setup everything i had to save for and i am more then pleased with my setup with everything except for 3 things 1. i still havent built my super computer which i will finish hopefully by the time vista is released, a high definition tv is also on my cards and finally a faster bigger broadband plan. Thats all the hardware news for now, i will add a few more wireless 360 controllers but not yet.

  just today i got my 100th achievement a little milestone for myself and currently 3960 points. ive no longer playing p2 or xbox games as im looking to forward to the future only 1 title on ps2 will be bought when its released here in Oz and thats kingdom Hearts 2 in september (my god whats wrong with the world) I played call of duty 2, need for speed most wanted and king kog until their all completed. I'm currently trying to finish perfect dark zero, gauntlet, hexic and geometry wars. Ill buy fight night round 3 and smash tv within the next 2 weeks too!!  

  games and things im looking forward to Prey which now has a release date in July, Half life 2: episode one in late may/early june, Gears of War when it is and the inevtible Halo 3 or whatever it will be called. And just today i finally figured out how to get all 3 consoles without paying so damn much! My bro is going to buy the ps3 and ill have the revoloution in the lounge room!! gaming bliss im really looking forward to the ...wii? The 360 i believe will take my main gaming time, the ps3 for ps3 exclusives (that applys to PC games as well) games and the revoloution for my family who dont play games as much, wow i never realised how game oriented i was...no wait i knew for god sake im doing 5 computer courses to become a game designer after all hehe.

  well thats it finally got that off my chest and ill be able to reflect on this in the future happy gaming!
