Your business life and your personal life, two parts of the same conundrum or do they deserve to be accepted separately? Recently I have had these two worlds collide when people who know me personally have taken it upon themselves to reveal personal information in regards to myself and my family. They have revealed names, adresses, locations and even confidential information relating directly to them. This is something that I will honestly not tolerate as not only is it ilegal (by English law) but it infringes on my rights as a human being.

I understand that there will be some socially inept sub intellectuals who will take it upon themselves to exhaust all of their anger and frustration at the world unto me. Using your free time to tell someone in no less than 43 comments why you hate them is a rather bizarre pass time indeed. Let me just say that I can't stand football (or soccer as our American cousins call it) however you will never see me posting repeatedly hateful comments on Fifa videos or classic matches.

24 hours seems like a long time but in fact it's not, considering most of us get up around 7:00-7:30 arrangements not withstanding of course. Now take into consideration that most will be in bed around 11:00 and theres not many hours your left to play with. In conclusion only a complete and utter deluded idiot with no social struture would waste time hating on a video or person just for fun. Then again these are the type of people that believe the word syntax is an insult, yes this actually happened to me.

And so the worlds collide and keeping them separate seems harder by the day, internet acquaintances become friends and friends become close friends. In the end it seems nothing separates my real life friends from my internet friends and vise versa. As my popularity on youtube and twitter increases I can expect this sort of insident to become more frequent.

Until ultimately there is no business life or personal life, there is simply my life...

So many rumors and embellished conjecture are the decorations for an otherwise fantastic event in gaming history...the reveal of a new console. No matter how you want to look at things there is an undeniable fact when it comes to multimedia company's, they all want that magic box that can deliver all types of entertainment medium to you instantly. It's much more cost effective to them and you the consumer.

People will play on the misconstrued fact by stating we want a console to play games and only games in case people forget Nintendo actually applied this theory with a little console called the Gamecube which simply played games and nothing else. The console failed once people realized it would not play their DVD's or CD's, no one wants several little boxes littering your home that all deliver various types of media.

We have become a society of people that wants..NO demands every form of entertainment medium instantly. When I was a child and I was stuck on a particular game I would have to talk to friends who had the game or wait until an edition of Gamesmaster and hope they at least mentioned something of my plite. Now however you can take out your phone and instantly discover how you attack with 550 HP damage on that new sword you found.

Instant gratification is the order of the day now, films, games, apps, even food can be delivered to your starving senses within minutes. People may mock the new pizza ordering app but to MS and it's customers it's an extremely cost effective and smart business move. Times are changing and so is the demographic, consumers want instant delights and instant thrills, they care little for leveling up or difficult gameplay.

Hence this fact gaming has become easier and completion times have decreased, it is simply companies giving YOU want YOU demanded.

YOU demanded extra content now know as dlc, and the companies were only too happy to feed your aching minds.

YOU demanded games to become easier by using the internet to spoil boss battles, and checking youtube so you can have the best time on Trials.

YOU demanded shorter games since as a society we are more active and have less time to play games, when we do play we want the quick thrill of feeling like a god after a 12 hour shift.

Stop living in the Neolithic age come out of your cave and stop carving animals at Gobekli Tepe, realize and understand that the future is here and if you don't like it...well have fun with those stone age tools.

As for the rest of us we will enjoy a new age of not just gaming but a new era in the consummation of this new entertainment medium.

A little heads up however from now on I'm going to be doing things MY way and maybe not the right or wrong way. During my time away from youtube I have learned many things both concerning the REAL gamer and the casual gamer. All will be expressed in time however I wanted to make this blog so that you are all aware of what is going on.

Thank you all for reading and I hope to see all your comments soon

First of all my new twitter account @RealENGDragon

Now onto some truths and recent goings on in the gaming world:

So Cliff Bleszinski wants us all to deal with it regarding the current always online rumor of Microsofts new console. First things first, the man is fully entitled to his opinion regardless, people should be tolerant towards any infringed ignorance that may be on display. Me personally I see good points and bad points to an always online console.

    The good points first:

It (almost) eradicates piracy since when the internet is not detected any app or game will fail to execute. Though I'm sure our hack happy friends will find a way to bypass this issue (they always seem to)

Actually...I honestly can't think of any other good points regarding a system that fails to work should an internet connection be non detectable.

What if your internet is down for maintenance? This does happen it's not a myth Mr Cliffy B

In this instance what are you to do other than rock back and forth possibly frothing at the mouth before you get your fix of GOW 4, or Halo 5?

The real truth surrounding this issue is not as simple as some what like you to belive.

As some of you may be aware there is a new version/remake/re imagining of the beloved Double Dragon 2 sitting snugly on your new arcade titles list. Being a huge DD fan (my favourite was always Return on the snes) I decided to download and play the demo and hope that it erased the horror that was Double Dragon Neon from my mind.....oh how wrong I was.

A truly awful combat system coupled with nasty visuals not to mention a below average frame rate (I'm sure it was doing no more than 30fps) made me go back to the dash and check that I had downloaded the right game. Turns out I had downloaded the right game and this piece of clunky clumsy excuse for a videogame was a new version of DD.

All I can say is COME BACK RISE OF THE ROBOTS ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!

Your a game designer and you have a choice for the direction of a new RPG you are creating, do you:

A: Create a huge open world completely non linear however with little attention to detail

B: Create smaller more richly detailed areas with no open world

I personally love the idea of smaller detailed areas as huge open world games can sometimes have rather bland scenery.

However in this instance the choice is yours so comment away

The first part of a three episode documentary was uploaded to youtube and many of you have been asking questions, that whole countdown blog didn't help matters I guess. The truth is...well the truth can be an objectionable thing, however suffice to say I can't really say yet. Part two of the documentary will be uploaded to youtube sometime next week, and features a short interview with me.

There's no doubt that people want to see me back on youtube and I can say that the dragon has heard your cries. More will be revealed in the following weeks but for now I'll love you and leave you

I know your all wondering what that video was all about You must be asking yourselves so many questions right now.

Is the dragon going to return?

Why did he do another video after he said he never would again?

Why am I even interested in this guy?

Maybe all your questions will be answered in time.....maybe but for now....

Honestly what the hell is going on here? People keep asking me about dragons, what are my thoughts on them where do I think they came from it's getting silly. I've already said I have no intention of doing youtube videos again and I've stated on numerous occasions why. I mean yeah I was very polite when asked about it the guys even had a camera in my face but I just don't get it. I counted at least 34 messages in my facebook fanpage inbox asking me the same question, is this someones idea of a joke or something?

I mean if it is well I don't find it funny in the slightest, at first maybe I had a giggle about it but now no. It's strange that the first blog from me in a while focuses on things such as this and what on earth is going on in the world of gaming?

Sim City is plagued with problems, Tomb Raider has silenced all the doubters, and on top of that Team Ninja proved they no nothing regarding their fanbase or their beloved franchises. This however is nothing compared to the almighty reveal of THE PLAYSTATION 4 which will be called...umm...the Playstation 4.

So yes there you go my rantring is over feel free to comment and stuff

As most of you are aware I have stopped uploading videos to my youtube account, my last video uploaded pretty much explains my reasons. However I am currently in the midst of a new project that seems to be taking up all my time. Imagine for a moment history's greatest fighters/most prominent figures fighting to the finish in different eras like Victorian London or The French revolution. The idea has garnered a lot of interest on different sites (though not this one lol) and very soon a Facebook fanpage will be set up and developers contacted.

I honestly feel that 2013 is going to be a defining year for me, quiting youtube feels like a huge load of my back and I can finally move forward and be a little more creative in my approach to things.

Thanks for reading and let me know how you guys have been doing

It's almost here, that time of the year where we pretend to forget about that office affair or the ignorant guy that you work with and celebrate the Mass of Christ. Well that is to say those of the Christian faith celebrate for this reason but what about everyone else? I for instance am not a Christian although I'm not an atheist either I'm what you would call agnostic in this area. Do I believe in a God or a creator of sorts? Yes, do I belive in the Christian version of God? No I do not.

Although I doubt many people today celebrate Xmass for the true meaning of the event, and people such as Sinterklaas have merged with company's such as Coke Cola to create a New Christmas if you will. For instance did you know the first recorded history of a santa was a Danish man dressed in green not red? It is strange that we merely accept these new traditions as if they have been there for centuries, when in reality they are relatively new.

Think back a moment to the amount of money you have spent over the years on wrapping paper for xmass time. Did you know that in 2010 it was calculated American buyers had spent $9.36 Billion on wrapping paper alone? Thats enough money for a huge family to live on for generations.....still wanna gift wrap your Aunt Molly's ankle warmers now?

I'll be celebrating this xmass as I have every other, by not celebrating it at all, maybe I'll have a retro day on my PS2 or watch some classic films I've not seen for a while (Terminator is due a watch)

However I will be creating a rather funny xmass video for youtube next week to be uploaded on xmass eve, keep an eye out for it as I think you'll all love it.

So what you guys up too at xmass time?

Dead or Alive 5 is the fifth fighting game from Tecmos new Itagaki-less Team Ninja, and comes complete with upgraded character models and...well not much else. You see DOA was a rather dark horse back in 1996, the action was fast and fluid and borrowed heavily from Sega's Virtua Fighter series with one unique difference The Counter. However DOA had a few tricks up it's sleeve to give every fighting game at the time a run for their money. First of all the game contained over 100 costumes a number that was absurdly higher than any other fighting game at the time or before. It also contained special danger zones where the player would be knocked higher into the air and be ripe for juggling.

The game was followed up by several updates and console versions and the series had been going strong until now. You see DOA5 tones down some of the rather interesting features of the previous games, gone are the customizable avatars/lobbys from DOA4 replaced with dull bland generic lobbys that leave a lot to be desired. Gone too are the bright colorful stages of DOA2/3/4 replaced with darker moodier levels lacking a color pallete. However maybe the biggest disappointment are the amount of glitches/bugs that the game comes with out of the box (however some updates have fixed these issues) such as a language setting not saving.

Another problem are the amount of recolors and unoriginal costumes in the game, the fact that one has to pay to gain access to some classic costumes feels rather cheap when you take into account the lack of content in the game to start with. Why all the hate however, shouldn't we judge the game as it is and not expect anything too dramatic? The fact is we had to wait seven (yes seven) years for a true squeal to DOA4 and the game we get is severely lacking in content and falls far short of the levels set by other fighting games.

Street Fighter X Tekken allows you to create your own recolored costumes for free, Virtua Fighter 5 FS allows you to create over 254,000 different costume combinations per character for free. Tekken Tag 2 brings back classic costumes and allows you to recolor them as well as in depth customization and decal creation for free. The question is why has Team Ninja not offered any of this content, and the content it does offer requires you to pay extra? Was it laziness on Team Ninjas part or could it be a more alarming case of talent lacking?

Whatever the reason fans are divided on the issue with some happy that customization has not been added and buying the dlc costumes.

The question you must ask your selfs however is... do you want a very good looking game with a lack of content or a good looking game with tonnes of it?

So as many of you guys will know I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan and today marks his 72nd birthday. Bruce Lee is probably known as one of the greatest martial artists of all time, however he was more then just a fighter, people forget he was also a husband a father. His impact on the world of martial arts and the world in general has seldom been achieved by any other. However I'm not one of the fans that belives in hero worship on any level, it's unnecessary and simply not needed.

So today I made a video for youtube showing some of my Bruce Lee merchandise you can find all my videos by going to www.youtube.com/dragonps

Later on today I'll be sitting down and watching his movies and playing Bruce Lee themed games, some of which are not that bad lol

Hope your all doing well and have you all started your Xmass shopping yet?

Do we love or hate those ridiculously hard unlockables in games? You know the ones, where you have to play as said character X amount of times or get X amount of headshot kills. Case in point DOA5 I'm currently trying to unlock the OP as hell boss character Alpha 152 by collecting 300 titles. The titles are similar to those found in SSF4 to decorate your fight card online. However the requirements for them are insane to say the least:

Play as said character 1000 times online

    Win 1000 online fights

Perform 100 Hi Counter Holds (hardest counter in the game)

Bloody hell might as well have an achievement where you have to meet the pope and discuss world peace. Hell why don't I fly to Africa and try to solve world hunger whilst I'm at it? Actually I tried to solve world hunger once with a giant tomato idea that I robbed from an episode of the Simpsons.....didn't work by the way.

So what are your thoughts on said unlocks? Love them or hate them?

Certainly has been a while since I blogged last but not so long that I forgot how to type as you can clearly tell. Had something really interesting happen to me the other day, got offered a contract with a channel on youtube.....for 5 years. Yeah it was actually the whole 5 years thing that put me off, I don't really wanna be tied to something for that long would feel like I was married

Gaming wise been playing lots of retro as modern gaming has bored me a little, managed to pick up:

Soul Calibur 2: Xbox version and looks amazing, even more so than the PS2

Outrun 2: Again on the Xbox

So how are all you guys? What you been up to/playing?

Two videos to take into account first:

    Now onto the blog itself:

I love retro games they take me back to a time when game development was young and lots of crazy ideas were becoming great games that we all know and love. Not all of them were great games though, in fact not every retro game ever made was awesome some were downright terrible. I can almost see the nightmares of E.T on the Atari or Rise of the Robots on snes/MD not mention the amount of terrible Mega CD games. Yep people forget that not all retro gaming was fun and memorable.

So when a company brings back one of those cherished games from my childhood, I want everyone to embark on that journey like I did all those years ago. I want them to get that feeling I get when I play a (good) retro game after so many years. Although most younger gamers will hate the old school difficulty the pixelated graphic's art style and generally speaking everything about the experience. I don't hate them for that (although a part of me cries ignorance) since I understand they are from a different time to me and expect something a little different, generation gap as they call it.

I want company's to release those classic games but give us a little something extra too, don't just give us a filtered upscaled version with online features that's just lazy (although easier for them I guess)

Take the Sega Vintage Collection: Alex Kidd & Co game recently released on XBLA and PSN. Sega actually included the option to change the region of the games so you could play the NA, EU or Japanese versions. Also Super Hang On is the arcade version with added 3D options. All in all it's a great package and worth the 800 MS points which comes to about 6 pounds and 80 English pence. A bloody bargain if you ask me

I want to enjoy those awesome retro games and I want company's to give me my money's worth is it asking a bit too much?

You tell me, but for now this is the Dragon saying sayonara

When people ask me "what is your ideal job" a few pop into my head. Games designer, astronaut, games designer but the one that stands out for me the most is community manager. I would love that job so much interacting with the gaming community, playing games before they get released, meeting all the hot gaming chicks and telling them of my stories as a level 59 berserk master on some RPG

It's the kind of job that you dream of but seldom ever get the chance to apply for, and when an opportunity does arise you would grab it with both hands feet and anything else that comes to mind.

Is anyone looking for a community manager at the moment?

    I have my own hair

I don't take up too much space

    I'm compact

I'm flexible (well I can get my left leg over my head)
