To be honest, I never thought I'd make it to 300 blogs. Back when Gamespot got a makeover, when a huge chunk of my original friends on here left, when I had bloggers block for over a month, when all of my favorite unions disbanded, I had serious doubt that I'd be active on Gamespot much longer. But hey, here I am still blogging twice a week and enjoying myself while doing so.
I blog because I enjoy talking about games, movies, music, and whatever with people who have mutual interests in those things. Those people range from people I know personally, people I've met on here and became good friends with, and complete strangers. I figure, as long as I still enjoy talking about games, movies, music, and whatever, I'll probably be on Gamespot. It's good escapism, a break from everyday life. As long as people still read my blogs, why stop blogging? It only takes up an hour tops of my day and I enjoy doing it.
Of course, all good things come to an end when you have other priorities or interests. I start college in two weeks and even though I am commuting every other day, it will still take up a significant amount of my time. Along with homework, a part-time job, hanging out with friends, and all the other everyday activities that I do, I fear that time will be more precious than ever in my life and I may need to cut down on the blogging. Maybe once a week, once a month, maybe a long or even permanent hiatus, or maybe not cutting back at all. I don't really know.
Whether my last blog is a few months away or a couple years away, I just want to say thanks to all of you who have read my blogs, posted blogs that I've enjoyed reading, had conversations or debates about games/movies/music/sports/comics/politics in unions, compared PSN trophies, and dealt with my unrelenting countdown lists (which are going to continue being so). I've had fun on Gamespot and you all are the reason why. Thanks and cheers!

1 Like Wow, 300. Even with my countdown list of every game I owned in my collection (at that time), I still didn't crack 100.
I've been wanting to do an update blog myself, given that my last blog was in September and was more of a copy/paste of a story I had read anyway, but I haven't found the time or desire to sit and do it yet. I also start college this month...actually I start in just a few days, on the 7th. I'll be going two days per week for algebra and English, so it isn't much. Still, I'm nervous about it due to the fact that I've never set foot in a school in my life, lol. Consequence of being homeschooled. I passed the college placement test with good scores however, so I should be alright.

How come you are staring college in January? What's the course?
I held out the first semester to make some money for a car. I'm glad I did so, I made a good sum of cash at a full time job over three months and got to experience what it's like to work without a college education. It's just not for me. I'm motivated now to graduate college with a degree. I'll be majoring in business, though I might switch majors at some point.
