Movie Moment - No Country for Old Men
I gotta say, I wasn't a fan. It's been a long time since I watched a movie, and was really blown away. I think the last time a movie really impressed me was the Bourne Ultimatum last year. Maybe I'm picky.
(EDIT: I realized this isn't 100% true. I did like Wall-E)
Anyway, the movie was not shy of good actors with great performances. Javier Bardem (the main bad guy) was an awesome character. If anything makes the movie worth watching, it's this guy.
The flaw of the movie was it's long scenes of very little substance. There was a lot of watching barely anything happen. It was just over 2 hours long; I'm sure I could edit it down to about 85 minutes. Perhaps the director was trying to stay true to the book, but it was tiresome for me.
That much waiting to get to the end was upsetting, as I didn't find the end very fulfilling. I don't need a happy ending to enjoy a movie, but this movie left me saying "That's it? That's one of the longest trips to nowhere I've taken."
It had it's highlights, but not enough to ever want to make me watch it again.
Gaming News:
I am now 77% complete J&D:tPL. It sounds like I'm progressing quickly, but the game does move rather fast. That's okay though. I'd rather a short game where most of the time I'm having fun, then a long game where I'm constantly frustrated.
Everyone was in bed early tonight, so I had a chance to pop in Killzone. Whoa. Now I remember why I had put it down. I was stuck on Level 8 part 1. After re-acquainting myself with the controls I finally past it (just part one mind you) although it did take me an hour to do it. Still a good game though. I hope the rest of it doesn't cause me quite so much trouble.- Posted Sep 3, 2008 5:06 pm GMT

Evil Dead: Regeneration FINISHED!
Well, I wanted to finish Evil Dead: Regeneration before the long weekend was over, and I just finished. It was a fun game; My review is posted. I think I may finish off Killzone next. I'm not positive but I think I left off on mission 8 of 11. I'll find out next time I put it in.
I still have Jak & Daxter: tPL as my E rated game to play. I WAS at 60% the last time I posted an update. I am now at 66%.
In other news, I've inherited a Union. The Leader had decided to hand it off, and to my surprise it was given to me. So, I'm figuring out what to do with it, and working on some ideas. Hopefully I'll have it ready to go with a new look and theme within the next month.- Posted Sep 1, 2008 5:06 pm GMT

CRASH! Good morning!
So this morning I get down stairs about 7am, look out my kitchen window and see this.
Notice that white ball on the ground? That's from the lamp post that USED to be beside the car.
To the left of the car (which I couldn't get a picture of due to the trees obstructing the view) is a very large truck of some kind, that looks like it belongs on a construction site.
Apparently, two 13 year old kids stole the truck this morning (before 7am remember, on a Sunday), drove it down the street, busting up a few cars along the way, pull into our parking lot, started backing up, and drove right into the lamp post, and this nice old couple's car.
Gaming Update:
Evil Dead: Regeneration - I'm on the last level, and I'm nearing the end of it. Hopefully I'll get it finished off tomorrow.
Jak & Daxter: tPL - I don't remember exactly, but I'm 60-65% complete now. Weee!- Posted Aug 31, 2008 4:13 pm GMT
