Unlike my parents, I am a homeboy so its best to celebrate it with some of my best friends and gf in this patriotic day. We went to the State's capital Washington DC and this is where we spent the 2 days. We had BBQ, played football (soccer), visited and showed respected to the various monuments and colored the night with fireworks. In all, it was really fun.
As for other news, I am pretty pissed on Sony these days, they still dont have the 2.40 up and the lack of content in PSN weekly updates is a shame. Hope to see some sort of good news this upcoming E3.
I am tagged by "grace87" so that means I have to list 10 interesting stuff about me, well the problem is my life is hardly interesting these days, but I'll try my best:
1: First of all, for the first time, I am revealing my name: Vincenzo Montella (not the former ROMA player..lol), anyways friends call me Vince or Vinni for some reason.
2: I live and born in Las Vegas, but my parents are from Milan Italy. They work as private contractors in the fashion industry. So even though I know a **** about fashion and stuff, I can regularly hitch a free ride to Milan and watch games at San Siro
, provided I have done me homework.
3: This blog is mostly done by me, but rarely it is shared by my best friend, Adnan. He is the one who uses PSN and XBOX LIVE! ID- acmilanboy. As for me, I dont get online with consoles...meh. The real competition lies in online PC gaming.
4: I like to pimp out of my PC to the max, adding vinyls, leds and **** In fact, I have my own mini shop which I do in free time.
5: I play in Minor League Soccer, a team called "Vegas Venturers". Its a soccer club, its great. I play as the bridge between the striker and midfield, one of the reason i like this role is flexibility.
6: I HAVE THE MOST PRETTIEST and NICEST gf ever, her name is Krissy, she'z a kicka** gamer. She can go toe to toe against online opponents anyday. She'z my life 6: I LOVE ACMILAN AND ITALY
7: I love pizza, pasta and icecream.
8: I am learning Karate, I am in green belt with 2 stripes, so blue, purple, 3 browns and 1 black awaits....yep.... its gonna take a while..
9: I donated blood last week, first time.... I felt....a bit light and.........great!
10: During Winter, we sometimes have legal organized street racing. Mostly sponsored by Mountain Dew, I had taken only part in 1 tournament last year, but hope to do alot better this year. Again my gf steps in to help alot, she'z really great in how cars work and ****.
00: I had only 1 hero, a person you look upto since u r a kid, its.............Solid Snake.
The PS3 2.40 update greatly enhances the PSN aspect of the PS3 and really closes the gap between Xbox Live!... but.... if you look closely, most features are not "out of the box" if you will:
1: Custom Soundtracks and Trophies- Yeah, it may sound good on paper, but to utilize it all the prior games have to be patched to support this, so its a question whether developers will go through the trouble of implementing the patch, but there are still plenty of games that is confirmed to be patched like most Sony First Party games, e.g Uncharted and Third party games like Burnout Paradise. While you can guarantee we can expect all the fall games to include trophy and custom soundtrack support, even if not out of the box... I hope we get the support for these features in two of the year's biggest games: GTA IV and MGS 4.
Metal Gear Solid 4:- It has big potential, Konami could tie the trophies with the special emblems in the game. And with Hideo behind it, expect something different.
GTA IV- 360 shows us how achievements can push the door to open the competitiveness inside a gamer, however 360 has a capped 57 or so achievement, for a game as big as GTA IV, its kinda small. However PS3 trophies are not capped, the only thing is capped is their "values". So we can get most out of it with lots of Bronze trophies, some silver, very few gold and 1 platinum.
2: Cross-game invites:- This was sadly missing, hope they implement it sooner rather than later. Those you used 360 knows that this is such a convenient feature to have. In-game invitation feature, like the one in GTA IV only is as good if a player is playing GTA IV.
3: Personal Voice chat and Voice msg- Again, while the Text messaging in PS3 is alot easier than Xbox 360, but then again... why will you text messaging when u can send voice message or start a live conversation no matter where you are, whether in the game, watching movie or listening to music. Not so for PS3, despite in-game XMB, this feature is disabled.
4: In-Video XMB- This is sorely absent as well, you cannot use XMB while playing videos, but rest assured, PSN director in PS blog reassured us that this feature is not far off.
Well, there you have it, these are some of the things that needs to be fixed in order to fully reach the Live! status.

With in-game XMB, I can now communicate with you guys efficiciently, thus my PSN friends will actually be my friends. So if you have a PSN, add me with a msg including ur Gamespt nick, its gonna be easier to know who is who that way.
