I read an article on an anime website which was about women in anime. I don't know whether the point of the article was to address the portrayal of women in anime/manga or address the issue of lack of female mangakas in the industry. I wrote about the irrelevence of needing more female mangakas because gender has nothing to do with the quality of the content. I've also mentioned few examples of "different" and "unique" women in shoujo mangas/animes.
