All About gemi9

Have you ever thought of why the classic games that you played growing up and defined how big of a gamer you would become in the future haven't been remade for the next decade. The most exciting news of this entire year isn't the release of Halo 3 even though it's highly anticipated but the release of the new Starcraft 2. The anticipation of Starcraft 2 would make me throw any game i currently have out the window. I played as much Starcraft years and years ago that would easily match how much Halo 2 i've played. It's hard to beleive how long ppl have been addicted to Halo 2, but then again people are still addicted to Starcraft. With the new relase of Starcraft 2 i will be addicted to the title once again. However there were many games before Starcraft that made me continue to by games. One such known as Pod. The first 3-D game i ever played on the PC. Also the first racing game i played. I played that game for a long time considering how basic it was. That would be my number one game to see redone and recreated on the XBOX 360. My other besides Starcraft would have been Tiberian Sun, but that has recently been done. I'm just glad Blizzard has finally set a side Warcraft for one second and is doing the Number One RTS game ever, Starcraft. I must go now pick up the game i haven't played in years to be ready for the release of it's long awaited sequel. If anyone knows how i can find and old copy of Pod for the PC, you should let me know.

    First Game Ever

So i was at work today browsing at playable games online, finding the usual golf, pong and pool games when i ran across something quite unusual. F-ING Commander Keen. Now the crazy thing about that for most people who don'thave clue what the hell i'm talking about, it was the first game i honestly remember playing. Now the version i found was the original and it looked similar but i beleive the version i played was the 2nd or the 3rd it had to be about 93' 94'. Which would put me around 4 or 5 years of age, yeah as you can tell i know where my roots of gaming came from and that would be from the original windowssystem. People twice my age laughat us today havingall this great computer resources so i laugh at them for us few lucky b*st*rds who actually remember windows, let alone dos. Forsomeone who is still agamer today playing on the 360 and Vista, to remember that far back and know where the roots of gaming camefrom, that's pretty amazing.

    Strategy on Supreme Commander

I've recently been on forums all over the place reading about what different people have to say about their strategy involving the game Supreme Commander. Ive read everything to people asking question about Teching, Rushing, Nuking, Defending and managing resources. The one comment that really got me was in a forum about Defense Strategy. The comment made was that a good defense is a good offense and you can not win a game without one. I however disagree. Someone that can find all the major chokepoints and completely seal themselves off from and ground raid and has very good Anti Air coverage from Bombers and Nuclear warheads, can make a small fleet of gunships to take out any long range artillery, but other than that can spend there whole time teching up to build T3 stationary artillery that can shell the other players base from all the way across the map, destroying their shields, anti air turrets, T2 artillery turrets and eventually there factories. During the time they start to all out attack your base knowing if they don't destroy those one or two T3 artillery stations youve built their base is gone, you start to mass a good enough army to counter attack them and take them out in one swift move. It takes a very smart player that can move quickly and manage their power source along with the mass to do this. However even though your T3 artillery can only be stopped by a shield, if your power drops you may find that nothing can stop their nuke.

    Crysis

If Crysis doesn't end up on the PS3 the system is done for. The only good shooter the PS3 has coming to it that the 360 does not is Metal Gear Solid. If the 360 ends up with Crysis and Halo 3 this fall that is the end of console war for atleast this year.
