  Finally building my Blu ray collection!

  I haven't been able to add many Blu rays to my movie collection in the past few years since they've been out, but now with Blu ray being the lone high def format, prices have dropped, and the buying has begun. I've probably got about 50 Blu rays now, which adds to my 26 HD DVDs that are starting to bepushed aside. Don't get me wrong, I love my HD DVDs, and I don't see any difference in picture quality between the two, but the difference is definitely in the sound. If you have a decent surround sound system(powered sub please), then you will love Blu rays lossless audio!! I just recently picked up Appalloossa on Blu ray for only 19.99(awesome movie) and Robocop(classic) for $10. My love for high def movies is almost as strong as my love for gaming, therefore making it a little difficult on weekends, when I have a little bit of extra cash after all the bills are paid, to decide whether or not to buy a game($60) or 2-3 Blu rays.I've also noticed that Wal-mart has a pretty decent selection of 10.00 Blu rays, although their overall Blu ray selection is a little slim, which leaves me spending most of my shopping in the wonderful world of Best Buy! I guess I'll buy as many Blu rays as I can before GE comes out with this so-called new format that supposed to be capable of holding 300gb?? Until then, I'll be slowly adding a couple movies each week.

  Did Sony copy Microsoft on a couple of things?

  I've been wondering a few things. Since Microsoftreleased their 360 far earlier than the PS3, would it be safe to say they copied them on a few things? One would be trophies. Of course everyone knows how popular the achievements were on the 360, so now Sony implemented trophies to give gamers a sense of accomplishment, which also evens the odds for consumers who own both systems, and would usually pick up the 360 version simply because of achievements. My second inquiry, would be the fact that the Xbox 360 has a button in the middle,which is used to pull up the dashboard,turn off the system, turn off the controller, etc.. Now Sony's button is placed in the center also, and serves the same purpose. The reason I bring this up is the fact that a lot of PS3 fanboys always seem to bash Microsoft, saying they copied Nintendo with the Avatars and such, but Sony looks to be guilty ofcopyingas well.I know they are minor likenesses, butIt seems like all game companies take successful ideas from other companies, notjust the big M.

  Gamespots' police will Rodney King you!

  Be careful of your errors or editorial mistakes, or else Gamespots' police (moderators) will come looking for you. I accidentally said GameSTOP when I meant GameSPOT in one of my topics, therefore having a moderator police come busting down my door and demanding a quit this intolerable abuse or risk being taken down a level, or much worse, getting banned! I found this quite amusing when I visited the moderators profile, but I won't put that person out there like that. So it seems like the topic I was heading was about how GameSPOT reviews games with a little more harshness than most other sites and I think that is what really got the moderator upset, seeing is how he/she works for them and won't tolerate someone posting negative posts abouttheir website. I explained it was a simple mistake and I clarified it with a later reply, but that wasn't enough. So be careful with your opinions andkeep those mistakes @ a minimum or you might just have to go to another website to post. lol.
