GranPosho's Blog Of NeverEnding Questionable Questions!!

My very own Halo 3 Hands ON!!
Yeah, that's right, last year I was able to get an invitation to the gears of war presentation in spain, so guess what?? I did it again... and this time is Halo 3 goodness. The event was both a press event and a contest to find the best Halo player in spain but I only got second place which is fair enough! I only wanted to play the game, I had no interest on the contest. Also, it was the final version of the game which is not bad at all, it's pretty awesome indeed! I'm 3 times more hyped than before! Also, there was a guy dressed as Master Chief and I "sort of" hot chick dressed as a Marine so I took some pictures of my brother and some friends of mine with master chief. Sad thing is, I only got to try the Zanzibar MP level of the final version for 30 to 40 minutes but if it was up to me... Man... I would camp in there and Keep playing all day long! Anyway, it's only a few weeks and we can get to "Finish the Hype" on Halo 3! Man, two long weeks... That's going to be a great day, not only because september 25th it's the day where we get our official games on our homes, but because we'll even be able to try ourselves Crysis for the very first time! Now that's a great day to remember!!

The Return Of The Walking Evil Poshos
Yeah! It's not really the title of a horror flick, more like a horrific post! Came back from the dead I did, It's been way too long, how long was it? December? Man, sure miss this. You may wonder what was going on with me, or maybe you don't, It's a bit simple, had a car accident and my parents had to be hospitalized, so I had to take care of things back at home. Let's just say it didn't leave room for much gamespoting. Did bought me a PSP though, to keep those long hours of waiting for results at bay. Anyway, they're all safe and sound and I'm back into action. It's good to be back at posting!!!

One Helluva Weekend!!
Hey guys! Long time no blog post, huh? I know, I know, I should post
more often on my blog but there wasn't anything substantial enough for
me to write about... but trust me, I have some great things to talk
about.

First,
this last saturday was my birthday, it was a cool one, but rather calm.
I was mainly with my girlfriend, she spend the whole weekend at my
house with my family and I, watching movies, playing halo in coop and
so on. She's not a gamer, the last game she ever played before meeting
me was blood, and that's a rather... old title, but she's adapting
somehow, I'm converting her! Soon she'll join my ranks of evil
gamers...! The best part was the day before my B-day, you see, first, I
received my new home cinema for my room, is a new Sony A/V receiver
with a 7.1 speaker system... Man, after a whole afternoon connecting my
pc, Xbox, a new DVD (it has HDMI HD upscaling, the main reason why I
bought it), digital tv... when I first turned it on I was blown away.
Yesterday I made an official test, inviting my parents and my brothers
to my room for a moment, I made them watch for a moment War Of the
Worlds, when the first tripod appears... Man!! Beautiful sound! Just
Beautiful! I already had a 5.1 A/V Receiver but crappy speakers, just
so you know, they were old 30 w speakers, now they're 150 W. Cool huh?
Huge difference, and playing Halo2 on Coop was great, I noticed a huge
difference.

But that's not all, I also got my hands on a copy of
Double Agent, I couldn't test it so far, it's still wrapped, but soon
my friends, soon... Anyway, what was really exciting though, was the
fact that I received a message that I was invited to a limited, private
party for Gears Of Wars, an event here in madrid organised by
Microsoft, the official presentation of Gears Of War in Spain where
I'll be able to play Gears of War a whole hour, I could do anything I
want with it, play solo or MP, of course, I'll play MP with the other
winners. Man... I couldn't hide my excitement, tomorrow is the
presentation so expect my Hands on this thursday! All of this a day
before my B-Day, huge contrast, in comparison, my B-day didn't hold any
more surprises! So, guys, some report huh?

The Return Of The Evil Evil
Well well well... It's been a long time since I left, but, as we all now, just as good could never die, so does evil! So here I am, refreshed, back into bussines and with some juicy upgrades! Yes, as in "I've just level up!", or "My cycle now does 120 points of damage instead of just 30!!", but all of this refered to my pc that is. First, I bought a new case, the aerocool extreme 3t, it was an improvised purchase since I had planned to do so by the time I buy an entire new pc, component by component, but since that case has some really 'cool' cooling (and effective, I must add) and my rig was... well, let's just say that you could boil an egg if you wanted (not really but...). And then, my evil minions, I am a creature who believes in temptation and I try to run from it, (but extreamly slow so I know for sure it can catch up) I came across with the all mighty xfx geforce 7950 gx2 Xtreme edition and man, I got tempted, as I looked at it I couldn't help but approach and speak to it "I shall embrace you as my son and use your power to inflict maximun damage on are enemies as we march our united forces into conflict!". So I ran home, did some numbers and every arrow pointed to a new realm of bloodshed... BUT (there's always a but) there was some motherboard list, and mine wasn't listed as either compatible or not! So, being the kamikaze I am, I bought it anyway and it worked like a charm... Fortune favors the Evil!! Muahaha !

And I also bought another gb of ram, that makes it 2. So far, my jump from my great 6600 gt to the 7950 gx2 is speachless, I couldn't do a lot of testing since I took the oportunity to change the paste of my processor too, but fear run with all things maxed out, ALL, highest resolution and it never ran lower than at 35 fps, oblivion also maxed out at the highest settings (even res) and it also went great. The only negative point I've found is that it can't run aa and hdr at the same time... that's it.

So... quite some return, isn't it??

Problems $uck big time too

Hey guys, been a long time without a blogpost from dear old posho, well, I may be off for a while, nothing out of the ordinary, it's just that I can't be sure if I'll be able to log on daily... I'll try to do my best to keep my officer duties. Anyway, let me give you a heads up, there's been a lot of activities in my office today, lots of important figures of the company love to stop by often and whenever they see me at gamespot... well, they leave me be but they don't like it, and at my home I'm kind of busy preparing my self for exams and so on, I will get online every now and then, I love gamespot and I love too to post on your blogs and so on, hopefully things will change this week, but I felt you guys deserve some explanation for my not that often posting. So, let's keep our fingers crossed so I can return to be as evil as I am

Man... Long waits $ucks

So, since I didn't know what else to post and because it's been some time since my last update... and because I want you, my dear fans, to have something of mine to read... I fear I will tell you about my recent online shopping.
I've found some month ago and online store which I became addicted, it's play.com, and not only sales almost everything very cheap, but also they have free shipping. I used to have whatever I bought at my doorstep in about 6 days, but... after I bought a movie... it became even longer, 6 days is nothing, but my last acquisition came home 20 days later. Afterwards I bought some baldur's gate games, Icewind dale too... and also, Over G fighters for my 360. I really love aircraft, so I'm desperate for playing such a game... It should have arrived last friday. Anyway, patience is a virtue...

One day I was playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent when this funny thing happened. One of the enemies just came and started shooting at me while I was in the corner staying still.
