Hello you!

Sony PlayStation Day

I'm currently sat in London's O2, waiting for Sony's PlayStation Day to kick off. I have my press badge, and the good news is that both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 will be here in some form, in addition to Home. The event itself is due to open in fifteen minutes, with the keynote at 4.00pm. I'll be live blogging it for the site, so keep an eye on the news page in just under an hour.

FormFiftyFive

Quite a few people have been in touch about graphic design before, particularly in regards to the awesome banner that Russ designed for me when I first joined GameSpot UK. That image be something that needs updating (ideas on a postcard or PM please), but as one of my non-games related interests, I thought I'd point to a rather excellent blog called FormFiftyFive that my brother is involved with. He's a student at the Edinburgh College of Art, and spends his free time tracking some of the cool design projects taking place around the world. Check it out and let him know what you think -- I'm sure he'd appreciate the GameSpot community's thoughts!

I'd love one of these crotcheted trees from Klas Ernflo...

The Crave Podcast

This week I was invited to guest on the CNET.co.uk Crave Podcast, so have a listen as we discuss new gaming peripherals and technology at large.

Also, kudos for giving me the best intro of all time:

"A wise man once said, "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back -- they're yours." And that's exactly what happened with our very own Guy Cocker, who makes a return to the Crave Podcast after a longer hiatus than the second series of Heroes."

Start/Select Episode 10

I've just finished uploading this week's episode of Start/Select, and after some technical jiggery-pokery, it's on the site. Check out the embedded video below, or head over to the dedicated page to download for iPod or to leave a comment.

NGamer label us 'jerks'

The latest edition of NGamer magazine features the same Guinness World Record Cosplay attempt that we covered on Start/Select last month. The downside? Me and Alex, adorned in our EA Boogie costumes, have been labelled as jerks...

Love the UK GTA IV TV ad

This UK TV advert for GTA IV is brilliant, not only because it features LCD Soundsystem, but also because it's unlike any other game ad I've seen before. Kudos to Microsoft for investing in it, although I imagine it'll be worth their while financially.
