It's cool to finally see it, but I only wish these versions of the game used the Hedgehog Engine, because it looks much worse.

I'm gonna start talking about the pros and cons for many different systems, games, or series. Today, I decided to do the Wii cause I was able to think of many problems with it. Also, in case anyone was wondering, the next game I'm gonna review is MGS 4.
Pros
Backwards Capability- Unlike other systems that don't have or either require a download to play the previous generation games, the Wii already comes with the ability to play Gamecube games on Day 1. The Wii also has 4 controller sockets on the top of the Wii, though it is a problem if you're using a wired controller.
Virtual Console- The Wii has a huge library of classic titles for download in the Wii Shop Channel. It even has games from other consoles like the Sega Genesis and the TurboGrafx-16. Only problem is how much space they take up and the price tag of even the oldest games.
Hardcore Games- Though the Wii is full of bad games, there's no denying how good the hardcore games are. Games like Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3 are considered amazing games. Just wish that in the upcoming months, the Wii will have more must get games.
Cons
No DVD- Sony was able to make its PS2 able to play DVDs back in the year 2000. It was 2006 when the Wii first came out, and it was the first Nintendo system to use full sized CDs, but it wasn't able to play DVDs. It's a shame really, cause I'm sure it would've been able to run DVDs.
Limited Memory- The Wii comes with its own internal memory, but it's pointless since even a simple VC download takes up so much of it. Nintendo was able to use SD cards for extra memory, but what completely ruins it is that they made it so that the SD cards can't be used as a second memory card. You can't even switch to it during a game. The SD cards are only meant to count as an extra storage, so if you need some space, you could only transfer things to it. Pretty useless. I think that the Gamecube's memory card system was much better than this.
Lack of Good Games- Though the Wii has some of the best games ever made, there are SO many bad ones on the consoles. Most of them are from bad third-party support for the Wii. I pretty much own almost all of the good games for the system and here's the list of the great games and somewhat good games I own for it.
-LOZ: Twilight Princess
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
-Super Paper Mario
-Zack and Wiki: QFBB
-Mario Kart Wii
I own more Wii games, but those aren't considered good enough to reach this list. Also, I am aware that there are supposed to be some amazing titles coming onto the Wii soon, such as Pikmin 3 and a new Zelda game, but this is right now.
Graphics-I know the Wii can do much better in terms of graphics, as shown by Metroid Prime 3 back in August of last year, but so many games out right now for the Wii have graphics that could've been put onto the N64. It's just disappointing to see Nintendo go down like this with the graphics. Though Nintendo said that it's games are mostly about gameplay and with some artisty visuals like Super Mario Galaxy, I'm talking about other games. The Conduit, a game that is being released to show the power of the Wii's graphics, is set for late 08. It doesn't amazing though. Also, the 360 and PS3 can make games with art that's much better than the Wii.
Online Play- The first truly successful game on the Wii to make online 100% lag free is Mario Kart Wii. Games like SSBB and Mario Strikers Charged (which I own), both have laggy onlines at times. Nintendo is pretty late to the party with its Wi-Fi. To make matters worse, Reggie-Fils Aime lied when he said Wi-Fi would remain free. Now starting with games like Samba De Amigo, there will be a Pay to Play service for online. God I hate Reggie-Fils Aime.
Motion Controls- When people first saw the Wii was going to be based around motion controls, we all went crazy at the potential the Wii could have. Now we have it with some games, like Wii Fit with the board and WarioWare Smooth Moves with all the different actions for the remote. But almost all of the games that utilize the remote just fail into making a game that's unplayable on the Wii. The Wii is based around motion controls, and people have to look into the controls for any Wii game as their main priority, besides gameplay and fun.
WiiWare Titles- It sounded like a great idea that Nintendo was finally going to release its own original titles for download onto the system. Just about all of them, with the exception of a few, suck. Many of them are either too damn expensive (Final Fantasy CC: MLAAK), too short and have little lasting value (Star Soldier R), or are just too damn boring (Lost Winds). Nintendo has to work on these more and make them less expensive.
Opera Browser- I don't really need to say more than a few things for this. It's slow, annoying to handle, has no Flash or Quicktime, and has many sites blocked.
Ratings and Score for the Wii:
Games: 6/10
Gameplay: 6.5/10
Online: 4/10
Original Titles (WiiWare): 3/10
Graphics: 6/10
Virtual Console: 8.5/10
Memory: 5/10
Innovation: 7/10
Overall Score for the Wii: 5/10
This is a huge dissapointment for me. I really hope the Wii comes around soon. I'm not giving up hope for it just yet.
I can't decide on what to review. I have many games I could do, but I decided to choose the ones I played most recently.
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, or 4
Pikmin 2
GTA IV
Mario Kart Wii
Dragonball Z Burst Limit
Gears of War
My camera died, so I only had time to do a speedrun of 4 of Sonic's levels in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Part 2 is coming up shortly. By the way, the quality isn't so amazing, so it may also be hard to see the rank I got. City Escape, Metal Harbor, and Pyramid Cave, I got a B. Green Forest, I got an A.
