  Of Sickness and Addictions

  Oi, being sick sucks

  I went to bed on Sunday night only to discover that I would not be able to sleep until about 4 am. I had this weird throat/chest thing going on. I felt like I couldn't breath and my throat didn't hurt...it just felt dry, like I was really thirsty. No amount of water helped and the irritation kept me awake.

  Needless to say, I skipped class and ended up calling in sick to work. I spent yesterday on my couch watching Oprah, Dateline, and whatever else I could squeeze out of my DVR. Yesterday really sucked.

  Today I actually feel worse, but I did manage to get some sleep last night, so I forced myself out of bed at 5:30 this morning and now I am at work.

  Enough about that.

  As much as I don't need another show to watch, as evident in my previous blog, I picked up a new one.

  

  I am 100% addicted to Bones. I watched the entire first season for free on Hulu.com. Now I am pissed because hulu doesn't have season 2 and their season 3 is incomplete. I am pretty sure offering season 1 in it's entirety was a ploy to hook people so that they would be forced to buy the rest of the seasons if they want to continue to watch. A Bones season 2 DVD purchase is in my future...probably my near future since I don't think I can go long without it.

  I'm excited for this week to be over since on Friday I am heading down to San Diego with a friend (and maybe Scartissue9) to visit my bestest friend in the world! I can't wait to see him, he hasn't been home since early September. Hopefully by Friday I will feel a lot better than I do now.

  New Games, New Schedules

  I am in my first full week of school. It's pretty sad that it is only Tuesday. How unfair is it that weekends only last two days?

  Some of you asked what classes I am taking, so....

  I have History 102, which is a basic level history class that covers the years between 500-1500 AD. Since I am in my 4th year of school, I thought this class would be a nice break, since it should be easy...well, it turns out that it is too easy. It is so easy that it is boring. Plus, my professor isn't even a history professor, she is a music professor who is helping out the history department by teaching such a basic class. This means that I know more than she does and yesterday I had to bite my tongue because I wanted to correct and argue with pretty much everything she said about history. The class is also full of freshmen and non-history majors, which means they don't offer any kind of historical insight and knowledge that I am used to getting from my peers. Group discussions are going to cause me to tear my hair out. If I didn't have to take this class, I would drop it. Too bad I didn't know I wanted to be a history major until last year, because if I took this during my freshman year, I probably wouldn't notice these things.

  I have and American History class which is also basic, but its a 200 level, so not as easy. It covers colonization up until the Civil War. The professor for that is awesome. She is the funniest, craziest, coolest professor I have ever had at my school, and I have had some awesome profs.

  The last class I have is History of Art : Modern 20th Century.

  I love art history, love it. I love it so much that I sometimes wish I had switched my major to that instead of regular history (or that I had known of my love for it as a freshmen so I could go for a double major).

  Ok, enough with school stuff.

  ScarTissue9was kind enough to give me a few games that his buddy gave to him. He kept all the sports game (ew, lol) and gave me these,

  

  Ya, I know it got one of the lowest review scores on GS...maybe even the lowest score for a 360 game? (I am too lazy to check) but it was free...

  

  Hey, if this provides me with even half the amusement that Sneak King did, then I am looking at an amusing time. Plus I can probably get some gamerpoints out of it.

  

  This is what I am looking forward to the most. I have heard great things about this game, and I can't wait until I have the time to fire it up.

  Amazon.com also had a "Nintendo Day" sale a few weeks ago. I was hoping for something good like Boom Blox or Mario Kart, but most of the titles they offered were "eh". I did get

  

  for $20 because I have also heard really good things about it. Plus he has a lightsaber...kinda. I do need to use my Wii more, so hopefully this will compel me to turn it on and pick up a wiimote.

  My Freedom...It is Over!

  *sigh*

  Classes start today. I don't want to go My mom told me I sounded like a little kid when I exclaimed " I don't wanna go back to school!" when it came up last night, .

  It actually shouldn't be that bad, but I had really grown to love my summer schedule.

  Today I just have one class, Art History (20th Century) from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm. Normally professors just give us the syllabus and briefly go over it before letting us out, but I have had this art professor before and I know she is going to just jump right into lecture At least I like art history.

  Anyways....

  Today is Scartissue9's 21st birthday!
