Reroute to Remain indeed.
In Flames' sixth full-lenght Reroute to Remain has one of the most ironic names ever. The album has come to symbolise the bands departure from its Melodic Death Metal roots. It incorporated the influences from nu-metal, prog metal and several other genres which have become cornerstones of their new sound. While any old fans therefore look back on it as the beginning of the end Reroute to Remain also was In Flames' ticket to success in the US and subsequently metal stardom.
The reason I'm thinking about this is In Flames is holding a gig in Helsinki this autumn which isn't that special in itself, they come here every year. This time I'm thinking about going to see them though. I've seen them twice on festivals before (we Finns love festivals, I wouldn't be surprised if we have some kind of record for music festivals per capita) but I've never been on one of their own gigs. The two times I've seen them they've been great. I probably should get a ticket already, why am I writing a blog about this

So, uh, what bands are you planning on going to see this autumn?

It's 3 AM
And I'm still up watching the trailer of a movie I've already seen more than 10 times, over and over again.

Good night, and good luck. (no that's not the movie, just an obscure reference)
