  Jazzfan4's Favorite Games Introduced to Me in 09

  Well I got bored so here were my favorite games that were introduced to me in 2009 (not all came out in 09)

  10. Need For Speed Undercover - A very good game in my opinion, the DS version was the very first game that I completely beat all on my own with no help. It is very rough around the edges, bad frame rate, (Wii & DS) had really bad graphics. I really enjoyed this game though.

  9. Mario Super Sluggers - This was one game that I spent a lot of time on. The only real complaint with it was that it was basically the Game Cube version with motion controls.

  8. Need For Speed Nitro - Really fun game, the only thing is that it had very shallow gameplay. Very few race types, no free roam, not a very big car selection. But it looked very nice, 60 frames a secons for the wii is very good.

  7. Sims 2 Castaway - Well, its the Sims, you know its good. But for the console, no it can't be good, but it is. Really addicting, overall it is very good, almost as if it were made for a console.

  6. New Super Mario Bros. - The only reason it is so low on the list is because it is exactly what I expected, really there was nothing surprising about it, but still a really good game that is worthy for a game of the year nomination.

  5. Burnout Legends - Undoubtedly the best game I have played for the PSP, the only thing that could make this better is if it had free roam, not surprising it doesn't because its on the PSP

  4. Burnout Paradise - 2nd best racing game I have ever played, the graphics are amazing, gameplay is awesome. This is a really good game and I am glad that this was the first game I got for my PS3

  3. LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition - Undeniably cute, sackboy is a sock on steroids. This game is revolutionary, a few minor bugs, but really a good game.

  2. Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - Addicting gameplay, explosions, absolutely hilarious, overall awesome game. This definitely deserves this spot on the list. The bugs really aren't as bad as gamespot said they were. The worst thing about the game is the voice acting, get over that, this game is excellent. Oh and not to mention the awesome theme song (look up on Youtube, "Oh No You Didn't Mercenaries 2")

  1. Sims 2 - Wow, I forgot to mention this in my last post on these games. I wasted my entire summer playing the gem. For $20 I felt like I robbed wal-mart. This game is so good, I can't wait to get Sims 3.

  Music awards 2009

  Okay well my game of the year 2009 thing is failing miserably and I'm guessing Buft will be the only one reading this, but if it isn't then vote already! Now because you all forgot the nominees here they are again

  -Sims 3

  -InFamous

  -Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

  -Forza Motorsports 3

  -Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

  Winner - Shut it Down, this was one of my favorite songs alltogether I listened to it 95 times according to iTunes, I'm sure I did a lot more, the only reason I really liked it was because of Akon

  Best Alternative Song

  Winner - Don't Trust Me - 3OH!3, I don't really like alternitive music but this is my all time favorite song, deal with it.

  5. Akon - I didn't really like his music until now, I really like his ****and I think he is one of the best people to be featured in songs.

  4. Black Eyed Peas - I have the most music of theirs on my iPod but a lot of them I never really listened to a lot.

  3. Timbaland - The only complaint I have is that he hardly sings any of the songs that his name is on, although Shock Value II was a big difference from Shock Value I it still is one of my favorite albums to date

  2. Pitbull - I just wish he was cleaner, I love about all of his music, shut it down being the favorite obviously.

  1. Flo Rida - I don't have a ton of his music but I have listened to his songs about 250 times, which is more than any other artist on my iPod

  Winner - Shock Value II - Coincidentally I'm listening to it right now. This had the most (and cleanest) music that I actually like, and this is the only one of the four albums that I actually own.

  My Favorite Games of '09

  I have played quite a few games over this past year, but I just wanted to let you know the ones that I enjoyed most. Some of them might not have gotten a great score, but I added them because they were just plain fun. And also some of these games didn't come out this year, but I was introduced to them this year.

  LittleBigPlanet - Because I got the PS3 this year, I knew that this was one game that I had to get. It is amazing, I'll leave it at that.

  Need For Speed Nitro - Still love the NFS series, and this was one of the first (aside from Most Wanted) that I really enjoyed playing.

  Need For Speed Undercover (DS & Wii) - The Wii version of it didn't live up to my expectations all the way but was still a lot of fun. The DS on the other hand was a lot of fun and I could not wait to beat it.

  Mario Super Sluggers - Really an awesome game, the only real complaint I had about it was that it was too close to the Game Cube version

  New Super Mario Bros. - Well, I was somewhat disappointed because I couldn't finish the DS one, I rented it and 3 days later, I got in a bike crash and seriously messed up my right hand, from what I did play, it was a lot of fun. The Wii one didn't disappoint, I haven't played it a ton, but still a huge amount of fun just waiting to be had.

  Burnout Paradise - When I got it, I didn't think I would get a better game for the PS3, but there are some really tough contenders in LittleBigPlanet and a game soon to come on the list.

  Burnout Legends - I thought this was about as good as it gets, then I played Paradise.

  Sims 2 Castaway (Wii) - It's almost as if this game was made for the console, I spent countless hours playing it. and then I beat it. That was the only issue, is that it is too short and then load screens appear too often.

  Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - Wow, this could quite possibly be my game of 2009, although it won most disappointing game of 2008. My friend said it would be good, I don't like shooters/action-adventure games a whole lot, but I absolutely loved this game. I spent an entire night playing this game with 3 of my friends and we all had a blast doing so.

  So there are my games of the year. Yeah, I know there are only 9, I was trying to make it ten, but I'd say this is a decent list, when I announce who I thinks deserves the Game of the Year award, I'll let you know my favorite game of 09 too.
