Duke Nukem Forever is Snakes on a Plane for video games

At least that's the only logic I can come up with after seeing the recently released trailer. It actually damaged my soul when I watched it.

End of semester means it's time to tackle my pile of shame.

I'm glad that I only have to do the balancing act that is my life and school for one more semester. But for now, I have 1 month to tackle my pile of shame that's developed over the holiday season.

For starters, I played through the "Wham, Bam, Thank you Ma'am" that is Heavenly Sword. I rented the game on Monday, and finished it yesterday. Next up is Uncharted. My entire list of shame is below...

    (x) Heavenly Sword
    ( ) Uncharted
    ( ) Orange Box [Ep 1, 2, & Portal]
    ( ) Assassin's Creed
    ( ) Call of Duty 4
    ( ) Zak and Wiki
    ( ) RE: Umbrella Chronicles

Finished Ratchet & Clank last night

I was lucky enough to reach the ending while playing it on my friend's 60" HDTV. Now I look upon my tube TV with harsh critique, and I fear it may be aware of my doubt. So while we all know of R&C:F beauty in design, and animation; yet I heard of some lines being drawn when discussing the ending of the game.

Now I am not too attached to the Rachet & Clank plot, since this was my first game of the series; yet I could see how some may disapprove of the ending. After traversing though an 8 hour long adventure, you like to get some sense of closure out of you efforts. However, the only sense of closure you get is defeating the last boss; because not even a minute goes by where another turning point occurs that sets up for the next. However, one game that does this very well is Beyond Good & Evil. It gives a nice, solid conclusion and saves the twist for the last 2 seconds of the cut scene. I believe in the case of R&C:F, the ending fell victim to it's timing.
