My YouTube Channel
Hi! Sorry for my recent lack in activity... this is due to my YouTube channel, thewalkingpotofjam (I know, a bit werid... initially, I only set up it up to post comments and subscribe to other YouTubers, and not to make and uplaod videos!). In my videos, I preview and review movies and games. I also do the occasional random video. Check it out if you want!

Are movie tie-ins any good?
Movie tie-ins are renowned for being boring and visually depressing. Recent examples of this are: Rango, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, Spiderman 3, Superman Returns, The Incredible Hulk, and Aliens vs. Predator.
However, there are a few decent, or even good, movie tie-ins. The top ones (in my opinion) are: Captain America: Super Soldier, King Kong: The Game of the Movie, and James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace.
So, yes, on-the-hole, movie tie-ins are awful and should never see a game store shelf, but there are the occasional game of a movie that slips past the small gaps in the reviewers net.

Does 60 frames per second (fps) really make a difference for shooters?
Many, many people believe that the Modern Warfare game makers are going on too much about how great their game is because it refreshes the screen 60 times a second as opposed to 30, or even 20, that some games have to suffer with.
However, if Modern Warfare shut their mouths for two seconds the public may properly appreciate the many wonders of 60fps, without the distant voices of MW3 saying how great it is!
Driver: San Francisco also runs on 60fps, but they never really go into it like MW3 do and boast about it all day, they just casually mention it in a sentence sometimes.... which really does help the gaming world to love it more. Also, a driving game does need to have that kind of technology behind it, as everything moves faster and the clearer it is, the better it is.
So, Modern Warfare should be proud of the effort they have put in to run it at 60fps, just not that proud.
