So I have a situation at hand that may affect my gaming habits at least for a while.

You see my husband was offered a temp job at his Air National Guard base. He's been pining for this for sometime and finally something opened up for him. But it starts out as a temp position for 45 days. The other problem is, it's near Pittsburgh which is a 2 hour drive from our home. We can't just simply up and move because A) this is a temp job that will hopefully lead to a full time job and B)I just recently got out of my crappy call center job for a really good, well paying Pricing Coordinator job for the district office of a chain of convience stores. I have my own office and everything. And it's something I don't really want to leave just as I was getting into the groove. We may end up finding a place to live somewhere as a mid point and both of us will end up having a 40 min drive in separate directions.

However for now, he's going to stay at his mom's house which is closer to said base for this temp period meaning the PS3 which is techincally his will go with him because hey he needs something to do right? This sucks for me because I was still working on my Jak and Ratchet collections, not to mention several games on my Christmas list that I can only play on the PS3 like PS All Stars and LBP Karting.

Makes me glad I hung onto my Wii. Though I had planned on getting for the PS3, Epic Mickey 2 is also coming out for the Wii so I may have to go that route for convience sake but I may also use this time to pick up a few late in cycle Wii games I was sort of interested in such as the Kirby Collection and Xenoblade Chronicles after all those Project Rainfall folks worked so hard to get it stateside and it looked interesting.

What's more disappointing is Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing Transformed is getting better reviews LBPK and I won't get to play it. I guess I could get it for my 3DS but it's just not the same. And that's another thing I got my 3DS to entertain me as well. Paper Mario and Mickey's actual sequel (according to Warren Spector) to the Genesis game Castle of Illusion.

I'm playing the first Jak and Daxter on the PS2 myself at the moment. Seeing how I don't have a PS3 (which will change within the next year), I'm having to buy each of the PS2 platformers individually. Luckily, however, they're pretty dang cheap. I got Jak and Daxter for $4 and Ratchet Clank: Up Your Arsenal for $5. They're totally worth it! By the way, you could squeeze a few last drops of enjoyment out of your Wii and get the original Paper Mario from the Virtual Console, if you haven't already.

Now this is a perfect situation where remote play would come in handy with the Vita.  If the feature was fully implemented, you could just work on your PS3 games remotely with your Vita and everyone's happy.  As for Epic Mickey 2, I'm getting that on my Wii U, which I'll be picking up Sunday!  :D
