  Seven (pretend that it says six) Movies in 24 Hours

  Every time that I make a return to GS makes me feel as though I have missing the dawn of a new revolution. Well, maybe that's too much. In my day away I watched six movies (it would have been seven if I had had a solid schedule).

  12 Angry Men
  Tagline: Life Is In Their Hands -- Death Is On Their Minds!
  
  My surprise favourite. I watched the entire thing with nothing to halt the entertainment but scratches on the disc, making me have to watch twenty or more minutes on my computer. My computer never has a sound come from it any more, so that is a bad thing for me. I don't normally include this, but this movie is recommended by me. I really like the ideas that are found throughout. (That tagline really is an exaggeration...)

  Deliverance
  Tagline: What did happen on the Cahulawassee River?
  
  I liked this one, but my attention wasn't fully kept. Centred around four men in two canoes. There are some scenes out of the water, which seem to be the most violent.

  Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
  Tagline: The hot-line suspense comedy
  
  Another of my favourites. This one is comedy of a kind, but it isn't much more than subtle. It's related to nuclear war, and Peter Sellers is in it as three characters. I just remembered one of the phone calls while writing this... that's one of my favourite scenes.
  
  Once Upon a Time in Mexico
  Tagline: The Time Has Come.
  
  This was on TV, so I watched it. I like some of the characters and action scenes. Usually I dislike action in movies, but I really liked what I saw in this one. There were a few surprises in it, which were good to have.

  The Proposition
  Tagline: This land will be civilized.
  
  Not the kind of movie made to make you feel good. I don't know much of what I could write about it. It is very violent in parts.

  The Usual Suspects
  Tagline: Five Criminals . One Line Up . No Coincidence

  I would have something... but I didn't watch carefully, I was too busy with my writing. I can say that there is a twist.

  There was a seventh, but I didn't have the time for it.

  Wanting Some Schooling

  Is it a crazy thing that I miss school?
  Who believes that I should return to a school of some kind? What should I learn?

  I might be away for some time on the weekend.

  Music Replaces Games... Again

  I couldn't resist checking TradeMe for new CDs...

  Blind Guardian - A Night at the Opera
  Blind Guardian - Battalions of Fear
  Blind Guardian - A Twist in the Myth (with an extra CD)
  Immortal - At the Heart of Winter
  Immortal - Blizzard Beasts
  Immortal - Pure Holocaust

  It's a hard choice. I think that I will be able to get any two of them. It would have been good if Nightfall in Middle-Earth were available, but it's good enough having the ones that are there. I'm sure enough that I will get A Night at the Opera and A Twist in the Myth.
  Luckily for me, A Night at the Opera has an extra song in Spanish on it.
