All About kingshy

If youv'e ever known one political figure in your life, youv'e met them all. But not this king. You will now, before your very eyes, see kingshy's rants, questions, and his everyday life (well, maybe not EVERY day.) unfold. This is the legacy of....kingshy!!

    This is kingshy, Signing Off...

As of November 11, 2007, at 1:40 AM, I have decided to leave GameSpot indefinitely. But, I don't know how to get rid of my account, as I have been a member long before this business of subscribing (nor do I plan on doing so). If you all know a secret how to, go ahead and tell me, but before then, my profile and blog will still be open so you can read my past thoughts and statements.

This decision is final. You may see me in the future under a new name, but don't expect to see kingshy around any longer.

My reason is not of one of hate, jealousy, greed, nor is it of happiness. I feel I have left my mark here, no matter how big the impact.

LordRevan1, thank you for having me as one of your buds. I also would like to thank you for your advice, when it was needed.

haga11111, keep ruling the Shy Guy Kingdom. These past months, I had forgot about it, and didn't notice its greatness. It will go down, I believe as a true Shy Guy Union.

and finally, ZeldaFan2329. Thanks for having me as your compadre at the MKC Union. I had a lot of fun. When I play Super Mario Galaxy, I'll do a triple jump just for you (man, I'm really cheesy).

Everyone else (veni-vidi-vici, veracious_heart, and bmoreangel, primarliy), thanks a bunch.

    Well, peace out, my homies!

    your friend,

    kingshy

From Level 15 to Level 17: Is this the work of Glitchspot?

I somehow bypassed Level 16 and went to Level 17. I'm happy for this occurance, but is this due in part to the traitoruous ways of Glitchspot?

Brawling: Clones, Level Editor, and Stage Hopefuls

Welcome back to Brawling. If you remember correctly, have a short-attention span, or didn't read the previous installment by the same name, this is my little corner of my blog where I'll talk about Brawl from now until February, when the game is released. Let's get underway, starting with...

    No. 1: The Level Editor

Many things in Brawl are starting to excite me: Wi-Fi, Sonic, and now a new feature:

    A bonafide Stage Builder.

How freaking AWESOME is this game gonna get? Saying this game is a huge step from the previous installments is a huge understatement. They give us the Subspace Emissary, Non-Nintendo characters, Wi-Fi....Am I missing something here?! The fact that you can submit your stages to Nintendo and get a free stage daily pumps me up to a huge extent. Sakurai is quoted saying that "We still don't know the exact service period. And future tuning may result in changes to the spec.", but if they have until February to figure this stuff out, then they'll get it under control.

    A level editor....

No. 2: (Don't) Send in the Clones

A couple months back, an interview surfaced about Brawl and what would happen to clones like Dr. Mario, Luigi, Ganondorf, and Pichu. I can't remember who was the interviewee, but he said something like "they would not be making a comeback in Brawl. We want to keep the current characters fresh." Something like that.

What I'm trying to say is this: No Luigi? No Ganondorf? These two primarily concern me the most. For Ganondorf, you could add another swordsmen, (SPOILERS) since he did fight with one in Twilight Princess. But what gets me is the fact that Captain Falcon, who Ganondorf copied, has not appeared yet on Brawl. He most likely will, but, then again, maybe not, and we'll end up getting Ganondorf in the process. I'm not a huge fan of the both of them, but I'd like to see both of them.

And then there's Luigi. Seriously, was he that big of a 'clone' to reject for Brawl? I'm not sure how much Luigi could differentiate himself from the Red One, but at least give him his Poltergust 3000. Luigi needs to be in the game.

    No. 3: Stage Wishes

Like I did my character hopefuls in the previous installment of Brawling, I'm doing a stage version in this one.

Mii Plaza: Well, PictoChat ruined this hopeful, but what the heck? It could be the Mii Plaza, answering the Mii character tie-in (if there ever is one). Miis would walk around aimlessly in the background as you fight against Waro and Samus. Occasionally, the Mii Plaza floor template would change to the Mii Parade template, signaling that tons of Miis are going to run like the F-Zero racers did in Melee.

Green Hill Zone: Tere will be a Sonic stage, but I hope to see a rendition of this Sonic stage. It could be semi-sorta in 16-bit, just like the Mushroom Kingdom of Melee was semi-sorta in 8-bit. Eggman could fly by and drop his crane ball to impale the Brawlers.

PastStage, Yoshi's Island: You know how Melee had three stages from SSB? What if they had a couple Melee stages in Brawl? Yoshi's Island is the only one I can think up right now, but you can comment yours.
