  Goodbye Mina!

  

  Well mina, I've come to a pretty tough decision. After GS's revamp, I tried really hard to like the new layout but have come to the conclusion that GS is no longer a site I really want to be on. So I am officially leaving. I have to say my time on GS has truly been great. I've met a lot of great people and have gotten to be really close friends with a lot of them. I definitely want to say a special thanks to zeke2040 and R-Force who have been the best of these friends I have met on GS.

  If any of you still want to keep in touch with me, I will be checking my messages on here once in a while. But the best way to get me is at my new home away from home - mygamemug.com. It's a great gamer site that has just started and it has a lot of great potential. I'm excited to be apart of this website's early years and to help make it better for all its users. Some interesting things on the site that GS doesn't have is a personality quiz. Answer a few questions and it will give you the type of gamer you are and also matches you with other gamers that have the same characteristics.   So thanks again to all of you who I have met though this site. I've enjoyed getting to know you and all the conversations we've had. I hope life treats you well and that you will keep in touch.

  Uncharted Trophies and The Holiday Season

  

  Hey mina! Have you all been enjoying the last bit of summer? I sure have, definitely been relaxing as summertime winds down. I have to say that I got some exciting news though today. One of my favorite games just got a patch to add trophy support! Yes, Uncharted now supports trophies, yay! It's one of my favorite games and I've been specifically waiting to play this game until trophies came out. So, now I can go and finish Crushing Mode

  In other news, the last GAA meeting I was at (that's Gamer Addicts Anonymous if you didn't know), we planned out the entire holiday gaming list from August to December!!!! It took me a bit, but I finally narrowed it down to a handful of games I plan on picking up.

  I'm also keeping my eyes on Shaun White Snowboarding, End War, Prince of Persia, and Eternal Sonata. I'm also saving up to get the Mad Catz Rock Band 2 Guitar and Bass. They look amazing! Full size and everything, I love it. Hopefully with them being officially licensed by Harmonix, that Mad Catz will do a decent job and make them very sturdy.

  On top of all this, I'm also saving for a huge anime convention in San Jose, CA over Memorial Day weekend next May. If all goes well, I'm also going to meet up with my best friend, zeke2040 as well. So, if you are down that way in May, stop by and see us at the Fanime Convention

  BOOM Goes GameSpot.

  

  My relationships with video game websites has always been a sketchy one. There was my brief time on IGN. My little stint at GameTrailers. Then there was my two year run on 1up until I got banned for doing nothing. To make a long story short, I ran a large PlayStation club there, some MS fans came onto my club and started to diss the PlayStation. Well, my posse (yes, I had a posse) didn't like that and started to attack their personal pages. Then, the MS club leader threatened me and all out nuclear war was declared. In the end, I think about 500 of us were banned, me included, and I wasn't even directly involved, lol.

  So, when that happened, I only really had one other alternative site, GameSpot. I have always hated GameSpot. I know, I'm a hypocrite, I hate the site yet I use it. But only because there is nothing better out there . . . or is there? GiantBomb just opened its doors for business. If you haven't heard of GB yet, it's the new gaming site by ex-GameSpotter Jeff Gerstmann. Version 1.00 isn't too shabby. The site features videos, reviews, previews, and a boat load of other features. So, if you are looking for some new scenery, check out this newest gaming site. As for me, I don't know if I'm going to move completely over to the new site. Only time will tell, but if you are heading over that way, look me up while you're there - madtyger.
