    Gamespot is biased....big time

To anyone that has ever considered buying a PSP/PS3:

Sony fans have are being punished by the gaming media lately for favoring their respective systems.  It seems like in order for someone to be a "gaming journalist" nowadays, they have to whole heartedly pledge allegiance to Nintendo and Microsoft, while completely disregarding their past.  Lets not forget that Nintendo has completely failed with their last two consoles and both companies have current gen consoles that have been obsolete for over a year now.

So what's a person to do when looking for reliable information on PS3/PSP?  I can't really tell you that.  What I can tell you is that Gamespot, 1up.com, Destructoid.com, Kotaku.com and EGM are completely against Sony.  The only reason I can think of for the bias is how journalists in general are treated when it comes to getting information from Sony (which seems to be pretty difficult), and they are taking their anger out in their writing.  So instead of allowing yourself to be mentally beaten to death by this constant barrage of negative press, I suggest heading elsewhere.

For those that want to be pointed in a better direction:

    Ign.com-Frequently updated, gives solid information.

Game Informer Magazine-Covers all systems while mostly staying indifferent (so far) between consoles and focusing more attention on the games themselves.  Well written reviews.  Buy the magazine, cause the website sucks.

NeoGAF-Great bulletin board that has a mostly positive attitude towards gaming.  Trolls are generally not tolerated.  A mostly European board with lots of really funny people.

Keep in mind that any information you get is to be taken with a grain of salt.  The best thing you can do is go to the store and check everything out for yourself.  Any one of the sites that I mentioned can choose to give unreliable information at any time (like Gamespot has done).  Destructoid in particular went from being indifferent to solely supporting Nintendo within days of E3.

    To Gamespot:

Go ahead and delete my account, I won't be coming back

    To Everyone Else:

    Don't be a tool.
