My Friends

Dude, this is a super boss picture. I need to get back into some hardcore GorJess spazzing right away.

I also need to update my blog with something substantial. Which I kinda already have something to talk about, but I can't bring myself to spew out as much words as I used to do previously. So I'll just vomit something out right now.

Lately, I've been on my PC a lot because holy balls, PC gaming is fun! After beating Alice: Madness Returns, I think I was playing Fable: The Lost Chapters (and other randoms) but Fable was... not very engaging. At all. I was really disappointed because I did enjoy the 2 sequels, so I was looking forward to it. The good thing is that I also bought Fable III during the Steam sale so I can at least wash away the disappointment with something I know that I'll enjoy.

But right now, I've been messing around with a free online ARPG called Path of Exile, which is currently in open beta. It's quite an impressive and polished game, and it's definitely filling up the hole in my heart after Diablo III and Torchlight II. And the passive skill tree is CRAZY! I kinda wish that there is no level cap so all the OCD gamers out there can try to learn everything in the skill tree. I would actually attempt it to be honest.

The pitiful amount of time I had with my consoles were spent on playing the Prince of Persia Trilogy HD Collection. Of course I started out with The Sands of Time, which is actually quite enjoyable. I really like the platforming, although fighting your enemies is a huge pain. And after you clear out an area, the game will ALWAYS show you an unskippable scene of the prince sheathing his weapons. Holy bugger, stop it.

Also, my attempt at resuming my playthrough of Final Fantasy XIII was dismal. I really want to continue though because I actually like the game, but it feels like I don't have the time even though I'm essentially extremely free at the moment. Ugh I don't understand.

Heh. This is my "proper blog soon-ish" update. You know... I'll just go back to my GorJess spazzing right now. Till next time!

I am in the same position with my handhelds (PSP and DS) that you are with your consoles. I may just have to buy something new soon to spring my interest in them back to life.

@cprmauldin Yeh my handhelds are being neglected as well! So much so that I've completely forgotten about them and didn't mention anything at all in the blog haha. I've got some unopened games too ugh.

Anything in particular that you are eyeing?

@mufujifi @cprmauldin Not really at this point. I've got a nice little handheld wishlist on Amazon that I might pick from.

I've also been neglecting my PS2. I've got a few games for it that I have yet to even start.

Been too focused on RPGs for the 360 I guess...

I never finish FF XIII. And it a good thing I didn't.

Holy crap, that skill tree... :)  I'm tempted to play that game just to try the skill tree. I'm afraid I wouldn't play another game for months, which is probably exactly what it is designed to do. I like the girls too, you have good taste ;)

@kfjl Wait, didn't I already reply to your comment? It disappeared ugh! Or was it removed because I said a BAAAAD word? Tsk.

Anyway, I mentioned that in PoE, I heard that your character gets up to 122 skill points or something to mess around with. 122 is barely enough! And I'm also playing another ARPG called Akaneiro by Spicy Horse (American McGee's!). I really want it to be released on Steam already cos it's just easier to launch from there, but I already have the independent game launcher downloaded anyway.

And my taste in girls? Yeh. To put it in a "nicer" way compared to what I commented the first time before I assume was what got my post deleted, I would totally go un-straight for Jessica.

I really liked the PoP Trilogy even the second one which I think has some of the cleverest level design I have seen. Shame about the glitches, rock soundtrack and tedious boss fights but you can't have everything.

@-INKling- The game has glitches? Oh wow I'm not looking forward to that.

I wasn't a fan of the second game at all really. I mean it wasn't terrible but it wasn't nearly as good as the first game. And I never even finished the third. Again, it wasn't bad but the magic was gone by that point. I really hope Patrice agrees to finish his new game for Ubisoft. He comes up with brilliant stuff that Ubisoft proceeds to butcher as soon as he moves on to his next project. It would be a shame if he left after all the work he has put into his new stuff.

@mufujifi It did on the PS2 version but they may have been cleaned up for the HD release. In fact I would be surprised if they haven't.
