  New Tech

  Howdy,

  I decided to blog about my new desktop PC.I worked very hard for months and saved up my money and it's well worth the wait. My old laptop pc was built in 2001 and it can not handle all the latest high end graphics and complex programs. I can no longer upgrade the RAM(max is 1GB of memory) and the video card(16 MB)is weak. The old laptop runs on an older Intel Celeron at 1.2 GHz. Also the internal hard drive (30 GB)is two thirds full and I will work on getting it to one half full. Bottom line is the performance as decreased over time and I will work on increasing the performance of the old laptop. Therefore, after eight years, I think I made a good investment in buying a new desktop pc. Here are the specs: 2.2 Ghz Intel Dual Core processor, 250 GB hard drive, 1 GB of memory and upgradable to 4 GB, DVD-RW, and wireless mouse and keyboard, all displayed on my widescreen 23 inch HDTV. So GameSpot.com is surely wide. The graphics (258 MB) is a huge upgrade and are great. The videos run smoothly, not jerky, and I am able to watch anything that's HD in HD. I can't wait to watch E3 and On The Spot on it as well! This will last me another eight years and more.

  Press Start

  It's been a while since I last posted, so I thought get some things down.

  E3:

  The event coverage was great and the virtual set looked amazing. It was well worth the watch. I was impressed with the games that were shown and of course added several games to my wish list. Some games are relased now and I would love to get my hands on them. I can't wait for next years event and perhaps we may see an old freind or two...Link perhaps?

  Wii Fit:

  It works! I've been playing Wii Fit since May of 2008 and certainly pleased with the results. I weighed 172 lbs when I first began the game and now I'm down to 158 lbs (before Thanksgiving). It took a lot of effort and a good diet to get where I am now. My goal is 155 lbs. I have an exercise routine I follow three to four times a week, spanning all the activities. My favorites are the strength training, yoga, and balance games. Other acvitives such as biking, cleaning, hiking, ect., can be added to my Daily Wii Fit credits and they certainly help too. I also use Wii Sports in conjunction to fill up some credits for the day and serves as a good warm up. There is so much more I can blog about Wii Fit that I will save for later.

  PS3:

  I've decided on getting a PS3 sometime next spring. I would get a XBOX 360, but there are much more games I want for PS3 over 360. Plus I don't want to worry about the three rings of death. However, if there is a game that I really would love to have that's "exclusively" on the 360, then I would get one. One added bonus is I would be playing on a HDTV with HDMI input and at 1080i.

  HDTV:

  I bough a new HDTV a while back and boy have I been missing out. It's got HDMI, component, composite, VGA, and S-video inputs. It has 1080i resoultion on a wide 23 inch screen that out performs my old tube SDTV. All this for 300 bucks. I hooked my Wii up to component cable and it's up to 480p, and I can tell there is a big difference compared to composite. When I hooked up our cable to my tv and was stunned when I saw 1080i HD channels. I can't wait to see a nice PS3 game play on my HDTV. I replayed some of my old games on other systems and rewatched some DVD movies a saw everything as if it were brand new. So that's why I've been pressing a lot of the start button latly.
